The gym is surprisingly big and clean! I signed up with the help from DJ who was more than helpful and very handsome if I might add. But I'm excited to get back to my fitness goals and back in the gym!!!

December 2023 In regards to: Assistant General Manager, DJ In-Shape Family Fitness, Citrus Heights As assistant general manager, He showed that he is willing to help when there is a challenge before him. He calmed a situation down, that was a little tense despite me being frustrated as I showed towards him. He continued calmly working with me. This assistant manager has true passion for his position and his employees. He, with no doubt would be a great asset of being ''General manager," as he has much appreciation for his position. This is a prime example of how to make all members and guest feel welcome. With recent changes with the gym becoming 'In-shape family fitness' I'm used to the old ways of checking in with a membership card. I am not very tech savvy using an app on my phone. With the help of Eric general manager in Orangevale and DJ, were able to keep being able to sign in via gym membership card. As I was very adamant, My hope was not only to help myself in this position, but others that might have the same challenge using technology to be able to access the gym easily. Many reasons why its always good to keep this option open to access using a gym membership card. Things can go wrong. Simply put, I'm glad this location has made the change of how people can sign in which is what I pushing for basically too keep the same. This change covers all of the locations. This couldn't have been done without the help of DJ (Assistant General Manager, Citrus Heights) and Eric (General Manager, Orangevale.) Jimmy

Great facility. Lots of the latest equipment, knowledgeable and certified instructors,pool sauna, steam room, massage. Going to enjoy using the club.

All that sales pitch claiming i can get all clubs and bring guest before signing up. Once I signed up and it's time bring a friend, now you tell me that I can't bring a guest??? Stop making big promises to lure people to sign up. Please be honest to people.

I go in and there's 20 people waiting to download the new app to be able to get in. I download the app the waited another 5 minutes for nothing. Told we needed a number and had to wait in line for it. I don't have time to wait 30 minutes to get in to workout. I pay OVER $100 a Month for the Best Membership and have other gyms as well. In Shape Family Fitness just moved down the ladder on that one.

I enjoy the safe, family atmosphere. Both my kids enjoy basketball, racquetball, swimming and the kid's club. I am grateful for this location and the staff. Thank you!

Manager in this facility is so rude. I canceled my membership on October 17 but she charged me for November!. I lost my rent but she doesn't care! I could be homeless but she got my $79.00 plus annual $ 49.00 just for one month using this club. She ruined my budget like HAMAS for nothing. Good luck everyone!

The facility itself is not bad although it is on the smaller side. The kids club has nice staff and it is very nice I would recommend this aspect of the gym indefinitely. They have dishonest sales practices to get you through the door so I think that is a big red flag and they also allow machines to be broken for quite some time. Its a small percentage of the machines but it is frustrating if they are the machines you enjoy regardless.

This club has a "new manager" and I think she racist. I'm sitting in the Jacuzzi with my daughter at 9 o'clock in the morning it is completely empty out here in the pool and in the Jacuzzi. I am completely in the Jacuzzi with her and we are just sitting and talking no splashing no playing just enjoying the quiet outside on a Saturday morning by ourselves and nobody is out here. New manager decides to walk out here and say that she is no longer allowed to be in the Jacuzzi which I get it's fine but the childcare is not open I planed to work out. Childcare is not open on the weekend so we adjusted and decided to use the other amenities since she is on my family plan that I pay for and it's October so it's not "hot" and my husband still wanted to play basketball with our older son. I felt picked on being that there are many other places she could have been and supervising being that it was completely empty in the pool area and I was present while just sitting and enjoying the spa with a member on my plan that I pay for and since childcare was closed and it's October we decided to use the Jacuzzi. there are people inside, working out with no shirts on women with sports bras, and not being spoken to. I felt targeted and it was not a good experience. She said she was a new manager and the rules that are going to be enforced. Need to be enforced throughout the club if she is going to pick on colored members. I pay a lot of money for 3 children on my account they don't even have access to childcare on weekends or after 7:30 on weekdays! Total scam!!!! I get rules are rules however, enforce all rules not an empty outside pool and spa and me just sitting talking to my daughter not making noise or even splashing. Justin's friendly demeanor and efficiency in handling membership inquiries and concerns. He's always ready to assist with a smile, making the process of managing my membership a breeze. Kudos to Justin for his outstanding customer service and professionalism!

I would still be a member if they went back to their pre-Biden economic lock-down hours of business. These short hours, especially on the weekends, makes it impossible for us to use our memebership so we cancelled and are waiting for them to have normal hours. We have been waiting a long time but it looks like they don't want to go back to the good times they had before :(

Dirty pools. Spas with no jets and Luke warm water. This place is run down and dated. I pay almost $200 a month, it would be nice if the so jets worked and the pools were clean.
