Avoid these criminals at all cost. They are only in business to rip you off. They will gladly take your 50 bucks to see the vet and then deny you serve latter on when you come back. If your dog is old and you dont find it necessary to vax a dog that dosen't go outside, go anywhere else because this hole wants to charge you for everything but wont tell you that untill after they steal the 50 buck from you and have you in the practice. HANDS DOWN THE WORST VET IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!

This vet office helped reunite my family! We are an air force family and were recently moved to South Korea. The paperwork and documentation required to bring our dog with us was so overwhelming and complicated and CHPH was so knowledgeable and helpful in getting everything together. Things became complicated when our dogs lab results did not qualify him to travel and he need more vaccines and a new lab draw sent. We ended up having to leave him for a month while we awaited the results. The amazing and wonderful Vicki spent hours checking in with the lab and communicating with us internationally on crazy timelines so we could be reunited. We are all together now and it would not have been possible without them. We have been taking our boy here since he was a baby and they have always been wonderful but they really do go above and beyond. All my thanks to the wonderful ladies at the front desk and specifically Vicki and Jordan for all they did for my family.

Horrible female staff when attempting to schedule a euthanization. They also lost my dog's records! I will NEVER go back here. Try Roseville Pet Hospital off Douglas instead.

This review is long overdue. I've been taking my dogs to CHPH since having one too many bad experiences at Family Friends Vet. I now have 4 senior dogs, and the care each has received from CHPH has been amazing. From their front desk staff (especially Paige, thank you!) to their vet techs and the vets themselves, everyone has been nothing short of wonderful. I receive a call back when they tell me I'll receive a call back. They are always honest about what type of care they think is needed. I am so grateful for CHPH.

I have frequented this vet since I was a child with my parents. I am now 37 and I cannot count how many animals over the years I have brought here for care. I used to swear by Dr. Hendricks and the Citrus Heights Pet Hospital for all my animals. Unfortunately, the last few years this vet has gone downhill. From rude front desk staff to questionable billing. It is now time for my family and I to find a new vet for our dogs and cats. What a shame. Good thing there are many close by options.

Looking for a new vet for 11 year old my pet who needs to be seen SOON by a vet nearby. I noticed the review from 7/06 where Citrus Heights Pet Hospital had taken a new client SAME DAY. So I called today (7/25); they cannot give us an appt until 9/02; almost 40 days. AND, they wanted a $52.00 "deposit" NOW / to have the use of my funds between now and the appt date. A veterinary practice that has more demand than they can actually manage is in an enviable position, but to ask for a steep deposit (yes, I can well afford it!) for that long seems extreme. Fellow Yelpers: referrals to other vets in/near Citrus Heights sincerely appreciated!

I just had a last minute international travel emergency, called 10 different local vet offices before i got ahold of this one. I was not a current client, and had a fairly complicated request. They squeezed me in the same day and not only gave me everything i needed, but also had the nicest staff, charged the most affordable price for an international health certificate I've found so far (after asking prices from every local vet i could find) AND went above and beyond to help me get my documents express shipped from the USDA office so my travel plans wouldn't be at risk. Im forever grateful for this whole team helping me get suki to our new home. I don't know what i would have done if it wasn't for them.

I don't know why you would give a Deathly sick cat a rabies for three years and another vaccine when he felt so bad. Money. $60.00 for those two shots. When I go to the doctor to get a shot the first thing they say is how do you feel? Have you had any symptoms. There is no way those two shots could've made my sick cat feel better. When I could see Dr. Brixon when I needed to it was a good place to go. I was so distraught over my sick cat I never even thought to tell them no about the unnecessary vaccines. Which had to of made him feel worse because every time you get them they say it may make them feel a little down this evening. Every time you turn around there's somebody else new. Doctors looking out only for their pockets. Dr.Brickson was wonderful.!!!!!!!! We will miss her and Bryce and the many wonderful people that have been working there. Sometimes a couple bad apples spoil the whole bunch.

Awesome vet! I've been taking my pets here for 20 years. I really appreciate that they don't over charge or suggest unnecessary tests or treatments. I've never been pressured or guilted into any treatments and when it was time to put my elderly dog down they were very kind about it. They're a really good old fashioned vet. Most recently I brought my cattle dog in for an ear issue, they gave him some ear drops and he's been fine ever since. They didn't order a bunch of extra tests or unnecessary treatments. They just dealt with it and he's perfectly ok now. To me, that means they know what they're doing. That's always been my experience with Citrus Heights Pet Hospital - they're competant and I trust them.

We need to bring our new kitten to get first set of shots and get a check up. I called and got prompt, friendly, professional service. They gave me several options for times/days we could come in and answered questions without any delays or hesitation. I really appreciate solid customer service these days. Thank you Citrus Heights Pet Hospital. Already a fan.

This place is wonderful! I had been looking for a vet to bring my little maltipoo and cats to that was both affordable and with a good reputation. I always drive by it on my way to work. And man am I so glad I booked an appointment! The staff have been nothing but super attentive and professional! I have never switched vets so fast! My dog has Sever anxiety and barks a lot but the staff took the time to get down on his level and make friends with him before proceeding with the exam. It felt nice to not be rushed in and out of the exam room! They were very thorough! And I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a reliable and affordable vet!

This clinic has on so many occasions come through for me. Most recent example was extensive oral surgery for my senior dog. I struggled with the decision based on age, health, costs etc. They never guilted me, they laid out the facts told me my options. They did their due diligence re:pre-op care. They told me the risks. I feel good knowing my girl's life will be greatly improved. The post-op care was above and beyond the call of duty. I drive very far to get here and it's very much worth it. The staff is great! This was my Chloe in her youth.

Great thanks to Dr. Brickson and to Blythe. I have been taking my pets to CHPH for several years. I have had many contacts with the entire staff and so pleased with everyone there. However, special thanks to Dr. Brickson for her endless devotion to her patients. She always goes above and beyond what is expected. She cares and is devoted to her clientele. Dr. Brickson is always concerned about the bottom line too. Special thanks to Blythe, too. Blythe is courteous, patient and kind. So many times, Blythe has gone out of her way to say thank you for so very little. After the past year, plus it is great that staff continues to be courteous and helpful. I am so looking forward to the day when I can take my Toby in for scheduled nail trims. This situation has been the most trying and Toby is not helpful. Thank you to a wonderful group!
