I shop here 4-6 times per month. My favorite store. Except for today. Katie M. refused to take my membership renewal. Claimed it could be that I'd have to pay twice because it doesn't always record properly. But if I had a receipt, how could they say I didn't pay my renewal? I guess I should have told her that I'm the customer so shut up and do as I ask, but I caved and put it off til next time. I'm sure she got satisfaction out of that. I have been a regular customer since this store opened, and found this (new to me) cashier to be combative and rude, and don't think she should be face to face with customers. Let her re-stock, or push carts or something.

Shout out to the very busy staff of the the food court. I went on a half hour before closing to pick up pizzas for my kids for dinner. Even with a malfunctioning ice cream machine and usual 466347 customers orders to process, the staff were quick, courteous and even apologetic for supposedly longer wait times. They all do a fantastic job, especially Michael! Keep up the great work!

Just went to this costco (citrus heights location) and the lady who was standing at the door, who’s name is Liz, was very rude to my boyfriend and I. We accidentally walked through the exit instead of the entrance and instead of her politely telling us we walked through the wrong door she very rudely told us we were coming through the exit and told us to pull out our membership card and when we showed her and I said sorry we didn’t know, she said “well there’s a big sign right there” and rolled her eyes at us. I will not be coming back to this location anytime soon if that’s how they treat their paying customers.

Best Costco around! I appreciate the employees, the organic options, and the not so crowded ambiance! I even asked for a specific brand of health drink, and found it the last time I went. So good to know they care about what products you want to buy! I’ll always give this location my business.

I can see why people have issues with this location. Today I had an issue with an employee whose name was Kim. I went in to buy snacks for the office. Cookies, candies stuff like that. I go through self checkout, I use my Costco account to check in and I used the company card to check out. All in front of the attendant. One I finished checking out the attendant noticed that I used a different card to pay and she makes a big deal out of it and calls over Kim. Kim tells me it's not allowed and she might have to void the check, I tell her that I didn't know that I used my own Costco account. She said it doesn't matter it's fraud. Of course I get defensive because that's dumb, I tell her I didn't commit fraud, it's not fraud. She answers yeah you did, I should void this and of course she didn't because it's not fraud or at least it's not a big deal. Look, if it's against the rules just say that. Just say, it's ok this time but this really isn't allowed and stop there. Don't accuse me of committing fraud. I'm just trying to get my people snacks not trying to get accused of a felony. Makes me wonder if this Would have happened if I was white?

I've been a loyal Costco member for years, and I continue to be impressed by the exceptional value and quality offered by this wholesale giant. Walking into Costco feels like entering a treasure trove of savings and variety. From household essentials to gourmet treats, Costco has it all, and at unbeatable prices. One of the standout features of Costco is their Kirkland Signature brand. This private label offers a wide range of products that rival or even surpass name brands in quality, yet come at a fraction of the price. Whether it's their organic olive oil, luxurious bath tissue, or delicious snacks, Kirkland Signature products consistently deliver on taste and value.Beyond their own brand, Costco's selection is unparalleled. From fresh produce to electronics, clothing, and home goods, the aisles are filled with top-quality merchandise. I appreciate the curated selection of organic and healthier options, making it easy to maintain a balanced lifestyle without breaking the bank. The Costco membership also comes with additional perks, such as access to their gas stations, pharmacy, and optical department. The savings on gas alone often justify the cost of membership. Plus, the pharmacy offers competitive prices on prescriptions, and the optical department provides affordable eyewear and eye exams. One of the things that sets Costco apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. The return policy is generous, and I've never had any issues returning items, even without a receipt. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the warehouse is consistently clean and well-organized, despite the high volume of shoppers.Another aspect I appreciate is Costco's dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. They have made significant strides in reducing their environmental footprint and supporting ethical sourcing practices, which aligns with my own values as a consumer. In summary, Costco is more than just a store—it's a destination that offers unbeatable value, quality, and convenience. Whether you're stocking up on essentials for your family or simply browsing for the latest deals, Costco never disappoints. I highly recommend Costco to anyone looking to stretch their dollar without sacrificing quality.

This is not my neighborhood Costco and I truly regret shopping there a day ago! We were on our way to Truckee and decided to stop by at this location to buy a few items. The store itself was well stocked but the experience due to the lady at the checkout was atrocious! Her name is CINDY and she was rude, RACIST with absolutely no understanding of Customer Service!! I had family visiting from Australia and they needed ski apparel and were at the checkout when I arrived at the till. They were using my Costco card as they obviously would not have their own as they were on holiday from AUSTRALIA! I am hosting them and was going to pay for their purchases as they are my guests! However I was told that this was not store protocol! Furthermore my husband was in the same queue and making more purchases and we were told that he would need to use his Costco card and had to pay with his own credit card??? Even though we are the same family!! How does this make any sense??I will never visit this Costco again and I have also written a complaint with management about this situation that left my family visiting from Australia with a tarnished opinion of customer service in the USA!

Every time I buy a rotisserie chicken, it's undercooked. Yes, I still buy them because they're affordable and will feed my family, but I do always have to cut it up and cook it longer in the oven. I feel like they never have chickens ready, there's always a line for them, and they end up taking them out too early because of this.

I have been a member for years but today in this location I have seen racism and discrimination in self checkout and while I was exiting the store my stuff was counted 3 times and at the end both employees had a shameful smile with saying sorry. The manger of this location should educatethe employees to treat every customer the same and there should not be any difference between customers and there should not be any discrimination against race and appearance of people.

Started a new membership I've had a membership at this location years ago but the guy who set up my membership was very pushy I would have liked to be able to just go in and get my membership and go out but he was trying to pressure me for a good 20 minutes to get the better membership and deals when I kept telling him every two seconds that's not what I want that's not what I want after that it was a great experience super nice employees and store

Well I finally gave in and signed up for an executive membership. Pricing is decent for the perks you get. Staff at Costco was also very friendly. The store has a larger variety of items compared to Sam's. Prices are also lower on most items. The upside to Costco in ny opinion is the lower prices, better quality items, shorter lines, later evening hours, convenience of an optical center, tire center, low gas prices, and curbside pickup. However the down side in my opinion is the lack of their app services such as no "scan as you go" type of shopping available, no cash back rewards unless you have their credit card, many items are shipping only, the member service desk at this location is a tad to hectic, unorganized, and very confusing for any new memeber trying to navigate what to do next. Nevertheless, I'd still definitely recommend this Costco to anyone and gave it 5 stars because the cons are all minor, and it may have just been one of those hectic days for me. All together I honestly can't complain and I'll Def be back.
