O'Connor Guitar provides guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons to students in the Sacramento area. The instructor is a professional musician with around 25 years of experience, known for being extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable, and very talented. He is described as a great teacher who is very informative, thorough, and shows up very prepared. Lessons are effective for all levels, from beginners wanting to correct problems and instill confidence, to more advanced players aiming to get to the next level. Students show significant and measurable progress, advancing from basic knowledge to reading music fluently. The teacher is skilled at keeping students interested in new, ever more advanced material. Instruction is available both in person and virtually, with the virtual medium being highly effective. The teacher is also immediately responsive to questions. In addition to lessons, he performs at concerts and gigs as a soloist, with bands and choirs, and directs community guitar orchestras. He creates performance and educational videos online. Music is his lifelong calling and passion. He is highly recommended, considered a maestro who can assist in your musical journey, and students and parents are extremely grateful and not disappointed.
I got lucky finding Sean four years ago, after trying out three different instructors. Sean is a music professional with a solid academic knowledge and performance experience. He also happens to do all the right things as a teacher. He is organized, diligent, patient, and posses a wry sense of humor.

Sean is great! My daughter has been going to Sean for acoustic guitar lessons for about two years now. He is a great teacher who is patient and very informative in his lessons. Sean is an incredible teacher, he has been working with my son for years now and not just his teaching but his relationship with my son is stellar. I cannot recommend Sean enough!
