Sunrise Mall has been a cherished destination for locals and visitors alike for decades. Established in the late 1980s, the mall has been a hub of activity, offering a diverse range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The mall is often described as having a charming, 80s-inspired ambiance, with a calm and uncrowded atmosphere that allows for a leisurely shopping experience. Customers have fondly recounted their visits to the mall, whether it was for maternity shopping, family outings, or simply enjoying the stores and eateries. Over the years, the mall has evolved, with some stores coming and going, but it remains a beloved community gathering place. Favorites like Torrid, Hot Topic, and the shoe store continue to draw in shoppers, while the presence of Macy's and other anchors provides a sense of stability. However, the mall has faced some challenges, with a decrease in foot traffic in recent years, likely due to the cautious shopping habits of customers concerned about potential health risks in crowded indoor spaces. To address this, the management has been encouraged to explore ways to reinvigorate the mall, such as introducing more interactive experiences, like musical shows, dances, and games, especially for families and children. Despite these changes, Sunrise Mall continues to hold a special place in the hearts of those who have grown up with it, offering a nostalgic and comfortable shopping experience that is hard to find elsewhere.
I like the calm of the place. Able to walk and enough the stores without being ovwr crowded. Still has that 80's charm and feel. More stores should come back and do it 80's retro experience.

The death of American exceptionalism extant. The once endless possibilities fester in a decrepit relic of what was and what could've been.
