In 2004 I bought my electric from guitar center, an Ibanez GAX70. I've bought other guitars since, but the GAX70 has always been my favorite. In 2022 I track down a used GAX70 that was produced in the same factory, same year, and only a month apart from my original. It was in rough shape but I intended to repair, restore, and upgrade by whatever means necessary to make the guitar fit to play again. I brought the guitar in to the repair shop where I met Angel the Repair Tech. We looked over the instrument together as I pointed out areas of concern as well as my over all vision for the guitar. Angel understood what I was looking for and he was super informative in walking me through the several service options available. We set up the work order and with that he said he would call in a day or two when it was ready. I got a call from Angel a day later to let me know of an issue he discovered while working on the guitar. He let me know my options and I felt confident in ordering the necessary repairs. I got my guitar a few days later and I was impressed with Angel's work. (I was so impressed that I brought in another guitar for set up.) I went to another GC repair shop closer to home for additional upgrades but was left disappointed and unsatisfied with the end result. Ultimately I brought the guitar back to Angel for service and I couldn't be happier because Angel helped make my vision come true. The guitar is everything I wanted it to be and more. Very nice, very helpful, great work, and for that I will be returning for all my guitar repair needs. Thank you Angel!

I can't say enough about the amazing staff and exeptional customer service we have received at this store. Our first visit was before Christmas as we wanted to purchase a quitar for our daughter. The greetings by the staff and the exceptional service by Micahel the manager all was 100% on point. Michael made the process so comfortable and easy without over selling to us. We ended up purchasing a beautiful, great priced quitar, lessons, and small items to get my daughter started. Everyone we encountered had a positive attitude and seemed to enjoy the job. You just don't receive this type of service anymore. This is my first ever Yelp review, but I wanted to make sure they are acknowledged. The prices, customer service, and product knowledge can't be beat.

Went to GC to get a quick Pioneer DJ system for my daughter for Xmas and left with a strat guitar, keyboard, DJ system and other gifts! My customer service agent was amazing; I asked his name and now I forgot. He was the main guy there Wednesday 12/20/23 and helped me with all my questions and so many others customers too; it's like if he was doing the tango. I really like this new location. It feels like Music R Us... lol

I went into this Guitar Center close to closing and needing a last minute Birthday gift and the employees there working had a smile on their faces and proceeded to help me choose a gift and even personally telling me stories about their tattoos, it was just very friendly and personable. Thank you for your patience and advice.

Opening day was a success. The location is perfect and the set up is great. They have lessons for everything you want to learn, with awesome individual studios. The staff was friendly, informative and anticipating everyone's needs. Mike the manager was genuinely enthusiastic about the opening of this location for the community and had great things to say about his team. I look forward to returning for all my music needs but also for my lessons with David who really made my first experience comfortable. Come in and enjoy the new music store like no other in the area.

Michael, the manager, was very rude and condescending and unwilling to try and help with my purchase. I called the guitar center customer service line to place an order because they said they would give me a $300 discount on a brand new Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard. I placed the order at 4 pm, then called the store at Puente Hills to ask when it would be ready for pick up, just like the sales rep arranged it for. The manager at the store, Michael told me that it sometimes takes about 4 to 6 hours for the order to go through, but to check if back if I wanted. I called a couple of hours later and asked if I could come by and pick it up, and was told by a sales representative to go ahead and come to the store. I get to the store around 8 and speak to a couple of reps and a couple of them helped me. They got the guitar down from the top row and were trying to help me with my purchase so I would be able to take it home. Then Michael shows up with the box and case for the guitar. Proceeds to create a ticket to charge me, then says that my card was declined. I told him that I had already paid for it and tried to show him my email confirmation stating that I had, but he just started going into this tirade telling me "I told you, you should know how this works" so I told him that I called before going to the store and I was told that it was ok to come by and pick it up. I tried to tell him that I needed it, as a gift for my son, that other stores have helped me with something like this before. He just kept saying in a condescending tone "I told you, you should know how this works". Finally knowing that I wasn't going to get anywhere with him, I asked him if he could please put it in the case and in the back so other people don't play it since it's paid for already. He replied immediately with a rude "nope, it's going right back up". I have been shopping at guitar center stores since the late 90's, and have encountered rude employees. But the manager for the store here at Puente Hills, City of Industry, Michael was extremely rude, condescending, and unwilling to help me. This store has only been open for 7 days, and it already has someone like this representing Guitar Center.
