“Dollar Tree in Claremont, located in the Peppertree Shopping Center next to Little Caesars and a dog grooming business, holds the distinction of being the largest retailer in the shopping center. This store has always been a reliable shopping destination for me, thanks to its consistently well-stocked shelves. Whenever I walk in, I know I can find what I'm looking for. It's worth noting that while Dollar Tree used to exclusively offer $1 items, I have noticed a gradual shift towards items priced at $1.25 to $5.00. This change has been a bit disappointing, as part of the store's charm was the affordability of everything. However, it's important to manage expectations regarding the range of products available. Fresh produce and healthy food items are not to be found here, so it's best to look elsewhere for those needs. One positive addition to the store is their gift card center, where you can conveniently load up gift cards. It's a convenient service that adds value for customers. Dollar Tree also excels in providing interesting seasonal items. During the summer, I particularly enjoy purchasing their lemon-themed cups. It's a great place to find affordable seasonal decor and supplies. When it comes to snacks, Dollar Tree is a haven. They offer a wide array of candy options to satisfy any sweet tooth. Additionally, the store is a go-to for gift wrapping supplies, balloons, and other party essentials. The variety and affordability of these items make them a real bargain. However, I do have a couple of concerns that prevent me from giving Dollar Tree a perfect rating. Firstly, the staff often appears overworked, and as a result, the lines at the checkout can become quite long. It's clear that additional support is needed to maintain efficient service during busy periods. Secondly, the manager's demeanor leaves something to be desired. They don't always exhibit the friendliest attitude, which can detract from the overall shopping experience. Lastly, the pricing at Dollar Tree has been on the rise, with some items now reaching surprisingly high price points. It's disheartening to see the store depart from its original concept of offering everything at an affordable $1 price. Some of the current prices seem excessive and out of line with what one would expect from a dollar store. Taking all factors into account, I rate Dollar Tree in Claremont with a solid 4 out of 5. It remains a dependable shopping destination, thanks to its extensive selection and reliable stock. However, improvements in staff support, manager attitude, and pricing policy would undoubtedly enhance the overall experience for customers.”

“Good customer service, lots of items to choose from I love walking around and looking at all the little knick knacks, I think this store needs to expand they have a lot of stuff in the little space”

“I would always have visited This Dollar Tree when I used to live in Chino and worked in that area as well. This Chino Hills Dollar Tree carried a variety of necessities on top of various water bottle brands such as 'Icelandic,' 'Dasani,' and 'Fiji,' and many others but these 3 water bottle brands were my top favorites. If I forgot to grab a new water bottle from Sam's Club that we stocked up at home, I would just drop in here for a brand name water bottle I formerly stated and some snacks. Of course, I buy other household items and craft materials for work again from This branch. Location was convenient to find: parking was easy at all times. Cashiers always seemed to be fast and efficient. I also would stop by during my lunch breaks from work.”

“Lines were long because only 2 registers open but it was lunch time & one day before Valentine's Day so ... but they had all I went for & cashier was really nice & apologized for the lines.”

“Great location and is full of everything fun and wonderful. This location is extremely clean and fully stocked! The customer service is on point! You walk in and see great holiday-themed items. The only bad thing is, a few homeless people are walking in and out. Just ignore it and shop! Great location!”

“Best thing about this store is their card selection from Hallmark two for a dollar. Great deals on candy and other home goods. Name brands are found here on some items.”

“My wife and I throughly enjoy shopping here. It is most likely one of the biggest Dollar Tress in the state. They vast selection of merchandise will have you in the store for well over an hour. The workers are very friendly and you can’t be the $1 item. We highly recommend this store.”

“The . 99¢ store is no more a name change is in order, it's more like a grocery store, I didn't see anything for . 99¢ things started off at $1.29 so the name is deceptive now you can no longer go in with a few Dollars and come out with a mother load of goodies, upside is the quality of the items are better which I guess justifies the pricing.”

“The 99 cents Only Store is not 99 cent any more. However it's still a quick shopping store to purchase something if you don't want to go in a big market. The store is family friendly. The employees are friendly and helpful. Enjoy your visit.”

“I love 90 cent store just the fact that you can take back open food and get your money back is amazing I never don't but I saw it. You can find most of the items whether is food, house, school supply, cleaning products ect. It's the to go places when your really broke or you wanna watch your dollar.”

“I drove to this 99 cents only store which is like 20 minutes from my home just because they always have a great variety of items, a well stocked store. Store is always very clean, items are well displayed and the variety is just so great, got 2 loaves of bread, pita bread and blueberry bagels also got my great smelling Fabuloso.”

“Oh boy was this store a mess, but now remodeled and looking great! My favorites here are the little craft containers that work well for storing beads and such, and the plastic kitchen storage containers that I also use to store craft parts. (Note that the small cylindrical storage containers for beads are not in the craft section but close by and adjacent to the sequins.). The kitchen storage section has recently been refilled with a variety of sizes and shapes of containers. Be sure to check out the cookie mixes because they are a smaller size than those in the grocery stores and perfectly sized for a quick batch of cookies. Affordable too!”

“The 99 Cent Store offers a budget-friendly shopping experience with a wide variety of products. While the prices are unbeatable, the quality can be hit or miss. It's a great place for basic necessities, but don't expect premium items. The organization of goods might lack finesse, but the savings make it a go-to for those on a tight budget.”

“Dollar tree or 99 ? 99 has some decent plant selections and of course they have fresh groceries there. For all my bargain shoppers out there this place generally has a great selection of odds and ends for all of your various needs. Today though, the store shelves were super bare and there was hardly anything in some departments. Everything looked a bit disorganized but when I inquired about it upon check out, Mylene, the friendly cashier, told me all the valentines stuff just got cleared out and also they had not had time to stock the rest of the shelves in the store. This store is usually always busy and I notice everyone gets in line at the same time most days! The balloons here are popular, but I think Mylar balloons will be against the law in CA soon!”

“One if the cleanest & fully stocked 99 cents store ive been to in a long time & giving the fact its in San Bernardino very surprised . Fresh produce resonible price”

“You can find some really good deals at the neighbhood Dollar Tree store. They stock up on household dishes, cookware, canned goods and a frozen food section. I primarily go for the seasonal products, they have a good selection of all-occasion greeting cards, balloons, gift wrap and gift bags in all sizes. I had a hard time finding the extra large gift bags at other stores, but they had them here. I am not like the new trend of ordering online and having these type of products delivered to your door. I will browse around, read the cards and color themes to make my purchase in person take it home, like the good ole days! Save money by shopping inside the store and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!!”

“Love this place, they have good items and name brand and they never argue over the price which is good. I’ve heard stories of other places rate hiking. What you see is what you get! Found a new bidet for $8 works great.”

“Went in to buy balloons for my girlfriend's bday. This location has great selection of different balloons. The staff was friendly. Alianna and sabrina helped me pick a beautiful combination of balloons. My girlfriend was happy with the results. Thank you”

“Very hidden! This dollar tree doesn't get a lot of traffic since it's very hidden and naturally everything is still a dollar and down. Can find most things that you need I usually go for snacks and some things I need for work! The staff is small mostly just two cashiers but the store is mostly always stocked and you get a crowd sometimes”

“Haven't been to Dollar tree in a long while. Store was well stocked and neat despite the crowds. I think the cashier was Eleanor(name started with an E but tag was a little blurred), she was wearing festive holiday accessories. She was so kind and helpful making sure we were all helped as quickly as possible with a kind smile. She was very efficient and I appreciate that. She was careful with my husbands reading glasses we were purchasing and was sure to keep them separate as I requested. Thank you Eleanor.”

“This 99 cent store location is adequate. However, I find the cashiers EXTREMELY SLOW & rude for no reason. No incident just simple rudeness like no thank you, you're welcome & very little eye contact. This has been every time I shop there over the past 5 years. I prefer Upland location & usually opt to drive extra 9 Mike's to avoid this location. However this store is clean & seems to offer more healthy food options.”

“Clean store with a lot of merchandise. Staff is hit or miss, the last time I was in there I had a young lady who was kinda rude and talking with other employee during my whole check out with her but I just brush it off, with younger staff, you kinda have to expect immaturity. Other than that great store!”

“It's always ok when I go but the one thing that I don't really see when I go to the 99 is there's ONLY 1 register open but when I go to the 99 there are more than 1 register open. That's the only beef I have with Dollar Tree.”

“It was a nice store, and needed some attention on the produce. Many packages needed to be tossed or picked through and consolidated with the fruit that was still good. Nice selection of pretty much anything you would need. Was able to get some synthetic oil which was much needed. This is the second store that has had some out of three I've been to and looked at . The cashier was a little moody but I think someone was rude to her a short while before our turn because she became more friendly as the transaction went on. Pricing was entirely hard to find or understand. For the three minor inconveniences I give 4/5 stars. Would go here again and would recommend.”

“Oh boy was this store a mess, but a recent remodel made this store tidy and attractive. My favorites are the small containers for beads and such--located in a section across from craft parts, and kitchen storage containers--restocked with a variety of shapes and sizes. I use the square kitchen containers to store sewing parts like sequin trims and zippers. I also love that this store has the small version of cookie mixes that don't usually need eggs. They're the perfect size for a quick batch of cookies on that occasion when you've got a cookie emergency (kids' event, movie night, neighbors drop over, etc.), a sleepover, or you just don't want to over-indulge in a full batch. Staff is always pleasant even if it's always changing, as it is at most retailers these days. I think you're going to like the way the store looks now!”

“I love this place.. but just recently I went to pick up some cleaning supplies in the morning and while I was walking through the ile with my toddler there was this Chucky girl behind she almost swept me and my toddler feet instead of saying excuse me. I didn't say anything but very rude, other wise I would of given a 5 star.”

“Love the 99. Cashiers are so slow and seem uninterested in their job. I mean come guys you have to at least fake it that you like your job. The rest of us have to.”
