I'm the type of person that never gives any one who's helping me a hard time or am rude and I usually expect the same courtesy back. Unfortunately the main pharmacist here the past two times i've been was very rude to me.

Before going to the Vons Pharmacy in Claremont I had gone to CVS and then Walgreens in Pomona and had terrible experiences. But once I switched over to Vons I have had zero issues. I love this pharmacy. The pharmacists and staff have always been so accommodating and informative to me. They have come through for me and my family over and over again. They are also just really nice individuals who always take the time out to explain things and give me a heads up around information they feel I should know. A lot of times I called them up just to seek some advice or more information regarding some thing that is going on. This is a great pharmacy.

I started going to this pharmacy because it was conveniently on my way home. However, I stopped going after a few months because I become very frustrated with their service. Their notification system and overall communication is very poor. Multiple times I showed up to pick up my prescription only for them to tell me it wouldn't be ready for another few hours. Additionally, their main pharmacist was very rude to me on multiple occasions and had just overall terrible customer service skills. I have since switched pharmacies and I am very glad I did.

My husband and I arrived around 3:45 to get our flu shot. We waited 15 minutes to speak with a pharmacy staff employee. It was 4:00 when Christina came to our window. She rudely informed us that is was now 4:00 and they stop all shots at 4:00 and we would not be able to get one. I could understand if we had just arrived but we had waited 15 minutes to speak with someone. She rudely just walked away. Very disappointed in her attitude and behavior! Cannot believe Vons allows their pharmacy employees to treat customers this way!

The pharmacists are knowledgeable, competent and helpful. We choose to get our vaccinations there for that reason.

Very sketchy customers. And only a few wearing masks (appeared to be college students from the Claremont area). Would not recommend.

Vons in SoCal is Safeway in Norcal. It seemed very familiar to the stores I go to Norcal which was nice. Picked up some wine and other sundries for the house from here.

Local store and shop here frequently. Employees are great but have noticed quality control needs improving. I have come home multiple times with items that have expired or will expire within days of purchase even though the shelf life should be much longer. I do my best to check dates but can't check every item while shopping. With the prices Vons charges I feel I should not be throwing away recently or just purchased goods. And I do not have the time to run back and forth to a store for refunds. Management should be insuring fresh products and vendors or employees should be doing a better job of checking stock when facing shelves.

Tried to use my rewards Dona tells me no they are not in the system. She clicks them. Only one $2 works and the other $2 does not. She cancels the order it tells me to go to the line with the manager. I go to the line with a manager Richard. She he tells me that my items have already been used even though Dona just clicked on them and canceled my order and told me to go to the other line. I show him and he tells me well sometimes you have to click on a 24 hours before you have to ask IT it's not his problem. I asked if he could just do an adjustment with it just for you he does not. This Vons has the worst service. Please go to a different Vons It's worth the high gas prices to drive to the next town and not have to go into the store

I don't normally make a Yelp review on grocery stores because they're a dime a dozen. I can't make review on the entire store, HOWEVER, I can still make a review on the lousy kitchen that makes their AWFUL fried chicken!! For the price for 8 pieces @ $7.99 and a pound of potato wedges @ $3.99?? It pays to go out and wait in lines at KFC and Popeyes chicken!! Coming from over-landing in the mountains, a grown man is pretty darn hungry. Heading home where this Vons is located at I was looking forward to some local eats while I went grocery shopping for necessities. The pieces of fried chicken at the window looked so tempting I said "what the heck" I'm hungry and I'll make this my cheat meal from Keto. Came home excited, rubbing my hands ready to go raw on these fried chicken and when I opened up the plastic bag I saw like DAYS and I mean more than a DAY +++ old fried chicken pieces. And the potato wedges the same!?!?!?! I've bought fried chicken at grocery stores before and you won't miss a beat on Albertsons Fried chicken and their mango habanero chicken. I used to go to the Albertsons in Glendora when I lived there. Man O Man do I miss that grocery store!! Vons to me felt more quality in their products than other grocery stores and I assumed that the quality also goes to every department, but DEFINITELY NOT their kitchen especially this kitchen in Claremont!! I've worked in restaurants while I was in college and I can tell when food are more than a day old and these chicken pieces ARE more than a DAY OLD!! I should make a referral to OSHA to make periodical surprise visits to make sure this kitchen don't serve DAYS old chicken. Hope I made my message clear?!! This kitchen will be known as "DOC" acronym for "DAYS OLD CHICKEN!!", or this Vons store be known as "DOC" instead of VONS... LOL!! And it all started on this review!! You want to ALWAYS give the best pieces to your customers so they'll keep coming back. I won't be coming back to this kitchen even though they might read this review and change their business practice, or replace the manager just pass it on the next hungry customer and it ain't going to be me!! Eat at DOC at your own risk!! LOL!!
