Vons Claremont was notified yesterday of the fact they have numerous fraudulent gift cards on the rack. Tried to get a refund, but was told no. I have the receipt of my purchase and the employee actually scratched off the cards from the rack and saw they were tampered with, just as mine were. I have to wonder if the manager, Colleen, knew about this and ignored it? Safeway doesn't care that customers are getting ripped off cause they get their money. I will be back to check and see if the cards have been pulled now that Martha saw if herself. If not, CPD will be contacted. Knowingly allowing these to be sold is a crime!!

Terrible customer service . I asked help from this associate and this lady didn't even really bother to check . The cashier asked her to check for me .I needed a box for the 6 bottles of wine that I purchased and she just said there's none . I got the bigger bottles so I just needed a box to secure them . At the produce side there were pile of boxes from the fruits and vegetables. I asked her " what about those boxes , can I take one ? And she just flatly told me , you can ask them yourself Sooo rude !!!! That's all I'm gonna put here cause I'm super upset , she ruined my day !

if you order groceries online don't get them from this vons. I order groceries online and they debited two times for an order and this week. I made a purchase on Saturday for 102.50 and they debited me twice on two occasions leaving me with no money in my che king account. they now owe me $170 which they won't give back and basically told me there's nothing I can do about it. I talked to 2 managers Donald and Kyle. nobody knows anything and the problem is not cared about or addressed by anyone. I'm stopping my business with them.

Thanksgiving meals I ordered two meals for Friday November 18. These were for my son's school. When I went to get them they only had one defrosted and I ordered them 11 days in advanced. They said sorry. I needed them for this special occasion and the Von's employee and manager did not care. What a horrible place to put someone. So for $149.98 I got one turkey and everything else I threw out. Horrible store.

Very sketchy customers. And only a few wearing masks (appeared to be college students from the Claremont area). Would not recommend.

Vons in SoCal is Safeway in Norcal. It seemed very familiar to the stores I go to Norcal which was nice. Picked up some wine and other sundries for the house from here.

Tried to use my rewards Dona tells me no they are not in the system. She clicks them. Only one $2 works and the other $2 does not. She cancels the order it tells me to go to the line with the manager. I go to the line with a manager Richard. She he tells me that my items have already been used even though Dona just clicked on them and canceled my order and told me to go to the other line. I show him and he tells me well sometimes you have to click on a 24 hours before you have to ask IT it's not his problem. I asked if he could just do an adjustment with it just for you he does not. This Vons has the worst service. Please go to a different Vons It's worth the high gas prices to drive to the next town and not have to go into the store

I don't normally make a Yelp review on grocery stores because they're a dime a dozen. I can't make review on the entire store, HOWEVER, I can still make a review on the lousy kitchen that makes their AWFUL fried chicken!! For the price for 8 pieces @ $7.99 and a pound of potato wedges @ $3.99?? It pays to go out and wait in lines at KFC and Popeyes chicken!! Coming from over-landing in the mountains, a grown man is pretty darn hungry. Heading home where this Vons is located at I was looking forward to some local eats while I went grocery shopping for necessities. The pieces of fried chicken at the window looked so tempting I said "what the heck" I'm hungry and I'll make this my cheat meal from Keto. Came home excited, rubbing my hands ready to go raw on these fried chicken and when I opened up the plastic bag I saw like DAYS and I mean more than a DAY +++ old fried chicken pieces. And the potato wedges the same!?!?!?! I've bought fried chicken at grocery stores before and you won't miss a beat on Albertsons Fried chicken and their mango habanero chicken. I used to go to the Albertsons in Glendora when I lived there. Man O Man do I miss that grocery store!! Vons to me felt more quality in their products than other grocery stores and I assumed that the quality also goes to every department, but DEFINITELY NOT their kitchen especially this kitchen in Claremont!! I've worked in restaurants while I was in college and I can tell when food are more than a day old and these chicken pieces ARE more than a DAY OLD!! I should make a referral to OSHA to make periodical surprise visits to make sure this kitchen don't serve DAYS old chicken. Hope I made my message clear?!! This kitchen will be known as "DOC" acronym for "DAYS OLD CHICKEN!!", or this Vons store be known as "DOC" instead of VONS... LOL!! And it all started on this review!! You want to ALWAYS give the best pieces to your customers so they'll keep coming back. I won't be coming back to this kitchen even though they might read this review and change their business practice, or replace the manager just pass it on the next hungry customer and it ain't going to be me!! Eat at DOC at your own risk!! LOL!!

Yesterday I was at Vons and they had small Turkeys marked down for $10.00 so I bought one.Today I went back to get two more for my mom and one for my daughter .After it rang up it was full price so I showed the "cashier " who was also the "supervisor " the price that was written on the Turkeys "$10.00 ". Richard (the supervisor) was absolutely so rude and treated me as though I was trying to take a steal on them.I explained to him I just bought 2 yesterday and he literally said "no"! That wasn't possible. His attitude was terrible. He rolled his eyes and made me feel like I was lying. He literally took them out of my basket and turned his back .I felt discriminated and embarrassed by his disrespect. The customer behind me looked at me and she said "I'm so sorry he treated you like that".To top it off while I was on line I got a call and I must of hit the record and yes "The whole conversation with his attitude and frustration was recorded ". I have lived in Claremont for 40 yrs.I have shopped at Vons and never had anyone ever treat me the way "Richard" did.And sadly he was the "Supervisor at Vons on Baseline Rd.Claremont Ca. so my hands were tied to speak to anyone else.

Every time I come to this Vons, over the course of years, their customer service is horrible and rude. From their no greetings at registers, not listening when asking for something, no eye contact, to blunt rudeness from cashiers (I was literally yelled at with a wave of a cashier's hand), to little to no friendly customer service. It is the the rudest Vons I've ever been to. And I've been to a few. It is so disappointing because I am an avid Vons shopper. I've spent over thousands, for over a decade at this grocery store, and to feel this rudeness at one of their branches, it disheartening. I have to drive father to other Vons, just to avoid this one, that is the closest in distance to me. Very sad to continue to experience this at this location.

Just moved to the area and of course, I break a my foot. Searching all pharmacies for your meds when you have a prescription from your doctor can be very difficult. It's a law that pharmacies aren't allowed to tell you over the phone whether or not they have your medication. In my case, it was strong pain meds. We came from a town where the Vons was awful and didn't have a pharmacy. My husband drove all over town to every pharmacy trying to find my two medications. Then we found this Vons. Of course I was hesitant about Vons.. But, they not only had what I needed but the staff was terrific! I want to especially give a review to Wilson, the pharmacy manager. Wilson went out of his way to contact my Dr. more than once to try to get my meds approved before the weekend. Wilson personally called me the next morning to let me know that my meds were ready. When I arrived later that day (in a wheelchair), I saw Wilson but he was was obviously on his lunch break. He saw me and remembered me! He mentioned to come back because they were at lunch in the pharmacy for another 45 minutes. But asked for my paper script, which I gave him. When I returned, everything was ready to go and I didn't have to wait! Thank you Wilson! Vons is lucky to have you. What a kind, attentive, thoughtful and caring human being. We will now be switching all of our medications to Vons.

Today I went shopping with my 2 year old to grab some items. When I got home I noticed I was missing 3 items macha powder, açaí powder, & a small box of kiwis. I called this location to see if they had a bag and if not, if we can go back and possibly get reimbursed for an item that either wasn't bagged, or if it was bagged, to go pick it up. When I called in I spoke to "caprice" who claimed she is the manager of the store. When I spoke to her and explained the situation, she said "will you come pick it up right now? Or tomorrow" to me, that's insinuating that they either have the bag or are going to reimburse us by letting us select the items again. Once she said that I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to go right now, or if she wanted me to go tomorrow. My girlfriend chose to go right now, so I told caprice that she would go now and she said to just bring our receipt (which we have). Once she got there, caprice was EXTREMELY rude and condescending towards her. My girlfriend is literally one of the nicest people you will ever meet. And for her to call me almost on the verge of tears claiming that CAPRICE is giving her a completely different response and in a rude manner telling her that she has no bag there for us. First off, why tell me to go pick something up today or tomorrow if you don't have the bag there? That makes absolutely no sense. So I ended up calling caprice back. And in my end, I'm already livid simply for the fact that she mistreated my girlfriend over some simple items that in all reality, we would have paid for again. When talking to her, I asked her what was the reasoning behind her asking us if we wanted to pick up the items right now or tomorrow? I asked her if she had any common sense because at this point, she CLEARLY and abruptly called me a liar and hung up the phone. I called again and this time she chosen not to have a back bone and put someone named Michael on the phone. I let him know the situation and how she directly called me a liar and how she is claiming she is the store manager, when that is simply not the case. I was provided with both store managers names "Colleen" & "Ryan". And told me he would try to have them call me tonight, if not tomorrow. I'm still waiting on that call tonight. Because best believe I don't take being called a liar lightly, and especially when she decides to tell my girlfriend that I'm lying as well. Believe me when I say, that I will not take this lightly and will be expressing this to the highest chain of command possible. If you're in customer service, don't be a "caprice" be a "Michael"

first and only visit there while I was in line at the register 4 waiting for my turn to pay the cashier told me there is a waiting line, As I walked away I overheard her tell the woman she was checking out infront of me that I was ogling her and how much of a creep I was. Just because I'm a man lost in thaught doesn't mean I'm ogling women or being a pervert I was so humiliated I went to the wait line and paid for my items at the next available register and left. I will never shop there again and I'll tell everyone I know not to shop there if they want to shop at Vons I'll tell them to go to the one on foothill in rancho
