I don't know when this happened, because I've largely boycotted Safeway for the past 30 years, but things have vastly improved. Surly, frowning employees have changed into pleasant, thoughtful and helpful people.

Basically a smaller store -ez access. Located in a shopping center with other choices to complete your shopping experience. An older store that has all the goods for your list. Employees are friendly and helpful.
