Nakoma Resort offers a beautiful and peaceful getaway with amazing views. The lodge is lovely, clean, and spacious with comfortable oversized beds. The location provides a feeling of being away while maintaining comforts. The golf course is well-maintained, beautiful, and enjoyable but is also described as very difficult, punitive, and unfair, with greens that are too hard to be fun. Some guests feel it borders on the unfair and is not enjoyable for a golf vacation. Service is generally lovely and amazing, with specific praise for the front desk. However, experiences with dining are disappointing. The restaurant can be overbooked and under-staffed with a limited menu, and eating requires a drive to a separate facility. Some guests feel the rooms and recreational facilities, while nice, are not worth the high nightly charge. Overall, it is a peaceful, clean, and lovely place for a stay, but aspects of the golf course and dining are significant drawbacks.
We always stop in for a drink when we're in the area. The architecture and scenery are top notch.

Golf course is well maintained but borders on the unfair. They should consider more serious modifications. Hard to enjoy a golf vacation on such a punitive layout.
