I used to count on Banfield to get my beloved pet to make an appointment with the vet in a timely manner. Now, I made an appointment on their app and I cannot get an appointment with a vet until April 10th which is 17 days from now. My dog is sick and I'm going to a new vet same type of payment method as Banfield.Talking to staff they say they don't have enough vets to cover the area I live in and there are four Banfield's in my area.I don't know who's doing their computer work and but the Banfield app on Android and internet log me in but I do not see my pet on the dashboard.Dropping Banfield and going to another vet.

Dr Sidler is the best vet in Fresno! He's compassionate, real, and our pets all love him. We see him at Banfield in Clovis. He's done big surgeries and routine maintenance on multiple animals for us. Great guy.

I took my Barrett in for a skin irritation issue, I spent 380 no questioning what the cost was.. the dr was just in town from Australia, he was sooooo good with my boy.. didn't rush me off answered all of my questions.. put my mind to ease he's on antibiotics and a treatment shampoo. They think it's an allergy, but I don't have 1k for a skin test the blood test would show like 20 I think he said...So far I've not had a bad experience, I won't let him be seen without me though, I'm so protective over him, and Barret is doing better... im going back to the same vet this Saturday for a recheck... its a man, if u can get him do it.. not saying the others r bad, but im very picky and don't like to bounce vets

Do not get suckered into their pet care program. You will quickly figure out it's not what is made out to be... and when you actually want to bring your pet in for something minor to have a professional look at them - "sorry we're booked up to next Friday". No availability- no flexibility... same with their other locations.

they refused to start up a new account for my dog. The old owner wouldn't cooperate either, so now I have to find a new doctor for him

Have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Wilkins and the staff. We have a really bad experience with the banfield in river park and changed to this location. They always answer my questions and explain anything. Although no dog really likes the vet my dogs love the staff and dr.

Been taking my 2 year old shepherd mix for over a year due to her excessive itching, biting at herself, scratching, her skin underneath her arms and belly were completely scabbed, red inflamed, rubber like texture and missing patches of hair.I came in numerous times for her symptoms & how her skin looked and worsened by the day. They took one look at her and said “oh allergies here’s a pill she has to take for the rest of her life” no skin test, blood test, every visit nothing changed including the regimen they kept her on. My baby girl was nervous and scared and in uncomfortable pain and they treated her like an aggressive, vicious bad dog basically prescribing me tranquilizers that had her like a zombie. Each visit upping the dose to further sedate her yet still not being able to get anything done. I finally took her to a different vet after another round of reoccurring double ear infection. Asked that vet to take a look at her skin. Turns out my girl has had an untreated severe yeast infection for over a year. On top of that bacterial infections in other places. The same places banfield looked and saw no cause or concern. Not to mention, prescribed anti itch medicine to “treat” her allergies. Her skin was so bad the new vet was shocked. Did every test, blood drawn, Prescribed antibiotics, fungal infection medication and more to help get her better. This is the first day she hasn’t itched, scratched, and finally at ease and in less discomfort. You failed my dog. And I hope you don’t fail any one else’s.Always get a second opinion.

I had a very similar experience as another reviewer here named Amanda. I am so sorry, I feel your pain completely. I took my baby girl in for a "comprehensive " exam and she received rabies shots at the same visit about a month ago. About 3 weeks later, I could tell something was wrong with her. She threw up twice, wouldn't eat, play, jump and when I rubbed her little belly, I could feel a lump toward the bottom part of her belly. I called Bamfield on Friday 8/19/22, but it was already closed. The recording said they opened at 7 am. I called at 7 am, no answer. I called at 8 a.m no answer, so I just drove my dog there....first, I realized that I didn't have an "appointment " and I really didn't know that Banfield didn't takewalking, but I was sternly made aware by the short temperamental receptionist. When someone is going through something so emotional, the last thing needed is a rude reception...I will say thank you to the doctor that allowed by baby girl to be seen by him without an appointment. I do appreciate that. A few hours later I was called by rhe doctor. This is where is say it is similar to Amanda... A possible UTI!!! I was told that my baby "was not doing well". Her white blood cells were extremely low and something was going on with the red. A possible blood transfusion. The x rays showed a massive ball in her stomach. Why was the mass not caught in that "comprehensive " "exam" just 3 weeks before? A mass doesn't just grow overnight!!!! It makes one wonder, what REALLY is going on when you drop your family member off to get an exam. Is it REALLY BEING GIVEN? My baby WAS a healthy 10 year old beautiful, loving, loyal, sweet toy poodle. I cry as I write this...I am heartbroken ? I picked my baby up from Banfield right away. The doctor never came out to speak to me. I was given my $745 fee for blood work and x-rays and sent on my way with my sick baby to emergency. My baby was pit to sleep about 2 hours later, once the doctor at the emergency reiterated the fact that she was not doing well. The e.r. doctor asked me many questions that I could not answer and I told her to call the Banfield doctor as he was very vague in his explanations of what was going wrong and I never once even seen the doctor. The e.r. doctor basically said that there was a mass on my babies spleen, probably cancer and she was extremely anemic and not a candidate for surgery and there was nothing could be done. Received my almost $800 bill and was sent on my way....in the 10 years I've paid for this preventive treatment so called, 'wellness plan", nothing was prevented here! Nothing was caught early....I highly recommend anyone else to do your research. Look around for a vet and staff that truly do love animals and people. It will save you some of the hearbreaks that many of us have encountered here....and to Banfield....PLEASE PLEASE save your generic auto reply of how sorry you are. I don't feel it, I don't believe it and I find it insulting. You don't even care enough to speak directly to the people you hurt...to add salt to the wound. You simply hit auto reply! Disgusting!!!!
