I've been stopping at this gas station for over 30 years, and I've seen many changes during this time. I was super excited to see that they offer hot food so it was a huge disappointment to order a cheeseburger and later realize that they undercooked it without letting me know in advance or giving me an option for them to cook it longer. Not everyone likes pink or in my case extremely pink barely cooked hamburger. I could have handled a little pink (even if I don't prefer it), but my burger ended up getting thrown away after 2 bites because I was grossed out how undercooked it was, and I didn't have a way to finish cooking it myself. I understand that it takes a while to cook everyone's food and I was more than willing to wait so I don't understand why the staff felt the need to rush and feed undercooked meat to customers. I definitely won't order a burger from there again because I don't feel that the customer should have to tell a business what proper cooked hamburger meat is, and they also have no warnings anywhere that their meat is undercooked. If they even read these reviews, according to Google, "consuming undercooked ground beef can harbor bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, and Campylobacter, which can cause foodborne illnesses (food poisoning)." Hopefully whoever has their food handling license and is cooking the food understands the risks they are putting their customers through.

I stop here often on the way to Pinecrest or the pass. Clean flush toilets, average selection of food, drinks, and trinkets. They’ve opened a kitchen with fresh burgers and sandwiches. Quality is very good. I’ve had the bacon/egg croissant which was quite good. I’ve also had the cheeseburger and fry’s which were excellent. Last gas eastbound and worth the stop.

The cold springs market has always been a favorite stop before going into the wilderness but recently there are always rude young cashiers who seem bothered by customers, raised prices, and angry locals either migrating from Mia's or the Pinecrest resort to stare you down and act entitled. I'll make sure I don't to stop here again because I'd rather not have it ruin a good day. You're better off saving your money and planning a trip to avoid this store.

I think the name of this place is The Outpost now... Anyways, I need to leave a shoutout for Blake. He is a true customer service focused individual. He knew by my hat that I was a 49er fan and still healing over our superbowl loss. He encouraged me and was overall the epitome of what great customer service looks like. Thanks Blake!

Is it really closed? For good? I've been going to this market / gas station for 41 years! It's always been there. My parents and grandparents went even longer since my cabin was built in the 50s by my grandpa. This is SO dad!

He made sure it was quick and easy and that I had everything I needed. I appreciated him so so much! Thank you Raj! You're the best! Service 10/10!

We planned to pick up ice in the morning for a horse pack trip and needed to pick up the ice when they are supposed to open at 6:00 am. They didn't open on time (waited 30 min), so couldn't get the ice.

For a gas station... HOLY CRAPOLA! Their food is freakin delicious!!! Service is also on point. I wish I lived in the area. I would frequent the F outta this place! ALL gas stations should step up their game to this standard. We had snagged: +Waffle Breakfast sandwich with sausage. LOVED IT. +Croissant Breakfast sandwich with sausage. LOVED IT. +Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wrap. LOVED IT. +Chocolate Chip, M&M Cookie. LOVED IT. All were perfectly cooked/baked and delicious.

This has quickly became our go-to gas station spot - whenever we're in the area. The staff are always helpful and they have a solid selection of drinks and snacks. My husband - has become a big fan of their homemade cheesy bread and if you're needing a quick pick-me-up for the road their hot counter bites - like pizza, potato wedges etc will serve you well. Also if you're headed to the lake or the mountains - and realize that you're not very well prepared - I recommend browsing Cold Spring Market's array of outdoor equipment. We've picked up everything from gloves, floaties, hats, firewood, hoodies etc. And probably my favorite aspect of this gas station is that their indoor bathrooms are always clean and accessible. Always appreciated on our way back or on our way to an outdoor adventure. Trust.
