“More than just a grocery store.SPD's connection and involvement with life in Nevada County is evidenced by their continual community support of worthwhile projects that benefit everyone, even if you don't shop there. SPD also hires the handicapped and disabled, which requires extra management attention but they do so gladly because of a commitment to the community. It would be hard for me to justify not shopping there, if I could live locally again. SPD is First Class.”

“I am sorry to see the negative and mostly older reviews. I joined this bank about 2 years ago because my previous bank was out-of-area, and I wanted a local ATM and personal service. Another big reason was their green policy to not invest in fossil fuels. So far they have been just fine; no problems with the ATM card and good communications. I hope others will give this bank a try.”

“Although I don't buy my gas here (too expensive even with 20 cents off a gallon when using your Safeway card) I still use their car wash. They have different prices..10 dollars..12 dollars..and 15 dollars. You can also include add ons. Location is right off the freeway (corner of Auburn and Main Street) on Grass Valley. They also have car vacs and a place to add air to your tires. They do serve hot food inside (never tried it) but could be a good option if you ate traveling and need to pick something up quickly. Overall I am pretty happy with the car wash!”

“I have never been so impressed with customer service. I came into this branch (not my usual) with a very anxious father and a time crunch that should have been impossible to make work. Taylor and Chris made it happen. They made calls and offered constant reassurance to a very finicky customer for nearly 6 hours. Taylor worked well beyond her shift to make sure every possible option was explored and all needs were met. Although we closed the branch down Chris and Taylor continued to try and make it happen and they did at 10 minutes to close. Even had the approval not gone through or had the time table not been met I still would have been incredibly impressed and grateful for all their tremendous efforts.”

“I just love coming through Colfax on my way home in Secret Town to get gas and maybe a quick bite of something to eat! Danelle works at the front counter, and let me tell you, she is so fantastic!! Her smile makes everyone around her smile!! I've seen it while waiting in line!! She looks every customer in their eyes, is more than patient and polite... She makes you feel like she's your sister, and one that actually loves you!! Lol She seems to love herself enough to love everyone else and loves her job enough to find meaning in it, so she exudes this peaceful calm yet energetic and loving disposition and she shares that with everyone! Yes, I gotta admit, she's the type of girl you just want to get to know better. But that's a perfect person to showcase in a public relations position for customer satisfaction, right?? I'm very satisfied every time I stop by there when she's working. She picks my mood up when I'm feeling down. She's so quick witted and willing to get your needs met without and confusion. I read the few other comments posted here and they all call out this older woman whom I've never met... yet. Maybe she's already "moved on" or "passed on"... Whichever she deserves, right?? Lol It's unfortunate that these people couldn't run into Danelle, because they would rave about the awesome customer service and attitude that comes from her. She's definitely a special gem, and I can't wait to be in her presence again. (Especially when I'm feeling defeated in life. That's when you cherish such a wonderful human as Danelle the most.) I hope they give her enough raises to keep her there long enough for me to propose to her... Uh... just kidding about that... Unless she doesn't want me to be kidding about that... Otherwise, it's a complete joke!! But then again, who knows?!!! RIGHT!!! Maybe it'll work?!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But seriously... Danelle??? Danelle...?? Will you marry me??!!!! Hello... Bueller...
