Sierra Towing has been taken over by another company. The service isn’t up to par.

So there I was taking the kids on an outing, when my fuel pump decided to stop working in Colfax on EB80. Keep in mind, it's Thanksgiving morning also. I called several tow companies and none answered with the exception of Sierra Towing. He said he would be there in roughly 40-50 minutes. No big deal, and it wasn't like I was going anywhere. Lo and behold, a tow truck shows up but it wasn't Sierra Towing. It was Atarco towing? I may have spelled that wrong. Regardless, nice guy, good service but I think I got the holiday reaming. Being in the automotive business, I figured $300-$400 due to the holiday. $700 to tow my truck 40 miles to Sacramento seems excessive, but what could I do? I was stuck and not even CHP came by. The driver got my truck to my buddy's shop and it dropped it off where he was supposed to, not to mention he kept me in the loop of what was going on. Great experience, I would've rated 5 stars, but the charge was excessive in my opinion.

Sierra Towing was terrific and went out of their way to help us. AAA on the other had was terrible in arranging the tow.

Left us stranded on a paved bowman lake road at night. Made us wait for two hours to tells us they are not coming. Have the AAA 100 miles service. But they can only tow their “shop” in Colfax Ca which was only 40 miles. Fischer’s Towing (AAA approved) in grass valley was told they are able to accommodate. Very disappointed at Sierra towing

My car blew it's transmission near their office on South Canyon Way in Colfax. I am from Southern California & New nothing about this area. Rocky & his staff & drivers & mechanics were very helpful and professional with our situation. Being the weekend alot of places in this town are closed, Rocky allowed us to leave my car on his property until Monday.I am forever grateful to this company for the kindness, professionalism, and overall helpfulness. I recommended then 150%. Thank you all for your help

broke down in the snow, the tow driver was extremely nice, patient, helpful, and competent. my car was towed to his garage and then routed to my mechanic 200 miles away. car showed up without a scratch. as good as it gets, considering the snow, 7 car pile-up, hwy 80 shut down by chp.

On our latest trip home from Tahoe we had a tire blow out on the downhill grade at a curve. Sierra towing came promptly and put the spare on. They were kind, helpful, and came quickly which was a huge relief in a scary time.

I put in my tow request at 2:30 pm. My car didn’t get picked up until 9 pm. It’s a long distance tow, so I get that I am not priority #1. At 1 am, my car was still not in my driveway.Triple A dispatch was able to get the driver on the phone around 2 am, he said he was an hour and a half away. Triple A assured me he would call me when he got in the area. 2 and a half hours later, still no car. Dispatch called the driver, who said he was nearby. We went outside to wait for him and he never showed up. An hour later, still no car. I called Triple A, and they said my car had been delivered. At this point, they couldn’t get the driver on the phone, it was 5 am, and I had to file a police report because Triple A had no idea where my car was. A few hours later I took a walk around the neighborhood and found my car down the street at someone else’s house. The tow truck driver left my car, didn’t even bother to contact me (even though he was made aware by Triple A that I was waiting up for him to arrive) and put my car keys inside of someone else’s mailbox. Basically handed my car full of expensive camping gear off to a stranger. The level of unprofessionalism is ASTOUNDING.Service: Long distance hauling

Had to get am RV towed to santa Cruz mid trip. Ryan the tow driver was prompt with his communication and got the vehicle to it's destination even though he had to get a different truck to accommodate the RVs large size. Would utilize this tow service again.
