Everyone’s always rude in the office and the hours suck

If I could give 0 stars I would. The drivers don’t look at the address on the package and it doesn’t matter how many times you go in to complain they just don’t care

Moved in to my home in 2020 and have had problems with the postal service since. I’m pretty use to my packages getting delivered to my neighbors and use to tracking them down myself. I have gone to many lengths to mitigate this issue including reaching out to the post master, filing claims, adding several address signage to my road to clearly mark my house, etc…
Informed delivery recently told me my package was delivered to the parcel Locke at the bottom road, after work I checked the mail, no keys. Following day I called the post office to which I was informed there “wasn’t any room in the parcel locker” so the package was delivered to my house instead, (then why did the informed delivery say parcel locker?)to which I replied “I worked from home yesterday and there was no deliveries.” Immediately the lady on the phone got short with me and said “we can gps track to ensure where the driver was!” I kindly asked to please do so because almost all my packages are delivered to one of my neighbors I tried to explain it’s a tricky address and give the benefit of the doubt. She gets back on the phone and says, “YUP! GPS says it was your house” to which she then proceeded to lecture me to “look around my garage for it” I kindly asked if the driver could recall the color of the house cause again my packages get delivered to the wrong address pretty frequently and my house is the only one on the street that is gray with a white garage and very rudely I was told it was definitely delivered to the correct house and if I wanted they could hold all packages at the post office for me for now on to come pick up (almost like a treat or repercussion of me questioning them) I immediately got off the phone and had my husband call around to the neighbors to see if they got my package. Low and behold my neighbor had it! So now I’m upset and I call back to tell them that my package was delivered to the wrong address and they had the audacity to tell me “umm yeah, we realized that when we got off the phone with you” WTF!!! So I ask “what can I do to prevent this from continuing to happen because I have medication being sent to my home and I pay for postage to get these items delivered?!?” I was told they are “short staffed and had a fill in driver that doesn’t know the route” then the lady had the audacity to tell me “someone was at the window so she couldn’t keep talking to me about this but that they would try to do better” seriously?!? Sorry I even called and inconvenience you ma’am!!
Long story short I guess I’m lucky they arnt holding all my packages at the post office as a punishment because there’s no way I can make their odd hours to go pick them up.. why are postal workers so rude?!

Inconvenient hours, packages gone missing, and today they had me sign for someone else's packages. My fault I didn't ask to see the packages before signing for them, but c'mon... Now I have to wait until Monday to return someone else's packages AND inquire about my own. Hoping whoever got my mail has a good heart & returns them to the office or catches their mistake before leaving. Best case scenario, my mail is lost in the shuffle behind the counter. Very frustrating... I've lived in Colfax for five years and it's always something with this post office-- slow service, putting slips in our box when the item was already picked up (completely wasting my time waiting in line after a long day at work), and now this. So annoying!!!

The latest thing they are doing is marking it as delivered when it's not. You go into the post office and it's noted as something like "hold request by residence" which is a lie. You tell them you definitely didn't get it, then they go look in the back and eventually find it and give it to you. Have had to do this 3 times within the last 30 days. Called the number this time, you have to submit a service request which is then dealt with by this local post office. So basically either way, you're screwed. Please stop marking items as "delivered" when they aren't. It's dishonest and I have to show up to the office anyway. There's a driver here who definitely has no Fs to give.

A slip is never left in the box for a package that needs to be picked up. When we track online it will say "customer requests this package to be picked at the post office". This is untrue, and, again, a notice is never left in the box. This has resulted in many items being sent back that we were unaware even needed to be picked up because the packages were ordered for us by someone else and we had no means to track them. I can understand not being able to deliver a package for one reason or another, but not being able to spend a few seconds to drop a note in the box letting me know I have a package to retrieve is unacceptable. If I could choose the manner of shipping for everything we receive, I would absolutely never use the post office.

Just to let everyone know at that post office I am having an investigation started due to undelivered medication banking information that has been opened up a credit card that was supposed to been here 3 days ago that the bank had to reissue to me it has been red flag with the bank and I am not the only one that has medication not turn up or mail that has been opened that is a federal offense and could be very life-threatening to some people in need of their medication promptly I would severely watch out whoever is doing this cuz they're going to end up Federal prison

I would rather be writing a positive review versus a negative one but that's not the case today. Lately, anything that does not fit in the mailboxes or parcel lockers does not get delivered. Period. Tracking states that a delivery attempt was made. This is 100% BS. It was easier for the carrier to leave a note in my mailbox box. It's no longer their responsibility. Zero effort from the delivery personnel. This is really unfortunate and gives USPS a bad reputation. John and Sara both offer exceptional customer service at the Colfax branch office. It's really unfortunate that the actual delivery personnel are slugs and don't care. My home is located approximately 100 yards from my neighborhood community mail boxes. I now get to drive six miles one way to the post office to pick up my packages.

They must love me here, because I always have to go pick up my packages. "No recipient available", um have you tried knocking on the door? Oh wait that takes an extra 5 seconds and 10 calories. Don't worry, I love driving into town for no reason.

I have lived in Colfax since April. They don't have mailboxes, so I had get a PO Box. I have had three separate orders from Amazon go missing. This post office has a thief in their employ.
