First, our waitress, Miriam did an excellent job, she is one of the friendliest waitresses I've met, getting us served in a timely manner. Our meals were very big and appetizing.

Went here on 11/25/2024 due to visiting California for my daughter’s cheer team. Deciding on dennys due to there low prices. However our server a middle age Hispanic woman seemed very nice but later I realized this is apart of her act to take advantage of you. What occurred is partly my fault for not paying attention. I was handling business on my phone while I let my two children order. I could hear them order and my daughter whom is only 10 told the server they wanted French toast. She asked my daughter do you also want hashbrowns and my daughter of course said said. (She never informed us that the hash browns didn’t come with the meal) I use to be a server in my younger years and anytime there is upselling to a child the server usually gets confirmation from the parent to see if they are ok with that. This server did not. My two kids got the same meal. Also they told her they wanted French toast. She decided to give them both the largest French toast platter the company had which was almost $17 per plate. These are children she should have gave them the kids menu French toast if they didn’t pick a certain platter. ??♂️ She manipulated my visit and I am highly disappointed. I went in thinking to spend about $30-$40 on a quick dennys visit and my bill came out to $80. I didn’t realize it til I received my check and being one not to complain I just paid the damn bill and left never to return. Yes if your a restaurant owner I’ll say she does an amazing job for you by manipulating upselling her customers without their knowledge. However you lose that customer which could eventually affect your overall bottom line as a restaurant if you keep losing customers. Also the nachos I ordered were cold and disgusting with no meats. The window seat we sat at was disgusting and had bunch of dust and gnats/bugs in the window seal. I know it’s dennys and not a five star restaurant but you can keep it clean for your customers. I’m a business owner myself and if I was in the restaurant industry I would not have accepted this type of behavior. Horrible place go to another Dennys not this one. And I still left the horrible server a tip because I’m cool ? like that however I should have wrote in the receipt “No TIP, your tip went into all the upselling you did” so maybe she’d stop manipulating customers.
