I took my Toyhauler to get major repairs done and I want to say Thank you to Marianna for her knowledge and professionalism also Caddy who did a wonderful job on the repair, dispatcher Pelerose and shop foreman Monica. They are courteous and kind and would highly recommend getting service there and they keep you up to date on how the job is going. So I would like to say Thank you very much. Tony G

I've had nothing but great experiences with Mike Thompson's Service Department in Colton! I purchased my 5th wheel in 2022 and have had several issues with it. This was my first 5th wheel, and it seemed I was having issues every time I would take it out. On my very first trip, my slide broke. I was a couple hundred miles from home, and didn't know what to do. I called the service department at Mike Thompson in Colton. This was when I was first introduced to Pelerose. She was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me. Her customer service and knowledge were impeccable! Fast forward two years later, and several other issues with my 5th wheel, Pelerose has always made sure I was taken care of. She is kind, caring, and understands the importance of getting trailers in and out of the service department so we as customers can enjoy our trips. Thank you to everyone in the service department! I recommend them to anyone needing service and maintenance!

Been back-and-forth to this place with my brand new toy hauler. I know they don't build the units, but they are the ones who are supposed to fix the issues. I had to take it in for the bedroom slide not working twice. Upon picking up my toy hauler I noticed that both of the front landing gears were completely bent backwards. They tried telling me it was like that when it was dropped off. I said that's impossible because I wouldn't have been able to get the landing gear down if they were already bent. Long story short I made the trip for nothing because I had to leave the trailer there again. They did deliver it to my house while I was at work and when I got home to inspect it it was very horrible craftsmanship. All the brackets were still bent, all they did was put the new legs in. The wiring was just crappy wire nuts hanging all over the front storage compartment. Now I'm in a battle to get my warranty exterior coating replaced because it failed. It has been months and I still have not heard from Mike Thompson's RV on the issue. Once this is all settled I can assure you I will never visit this place ever again. Service people have failed to answer emails return phone calls. Mike Thompson's was paid $4000 in warranty money to detail the trailer. I was expecting the entire trailer to be detailed. It was only one side and it was done very horribly. I can tell I was lied to and I tried to just do it real quick before I showed up the next morning. And this is just a couple of the problems I've had I'm not gonna mention all the small details inside that they don't know how to fix.

We came to Mike Thompson to purchase our new RV. It is a 2024 Forrester 2861ds by forest river. Victor Singleton was our salesman and he was the best salesman ever!! We visited other dealerships and found Victor to be dedicated, patient, and very helpful! We hired an inspector to look over the RV prior to picking it up. A few things needed to be worked on, and Victor did an outstanding job on making sure that it all was done. He was there from beginning to end and did an awesome job. DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV/TRAILER HERE FOR WARRANTY REPAIR!!! After having my trailer for over 2 1/2 months many things were not repaired. They damaged my trailer in 5 areas and only repaired 3. My entry door shades were never fixed. The service tech told me I should spray starch on them!!!! The trailer was purchased new middle of this year. It's spent more time on their lot than getting used. I have a bedroom sliding door that is warped that they didn't replace but they did replace all the items that the warped door damaged. WTF?!! My refrigerator door was never fixed. The door doesn't latch with items in the door yet after giving them a video it was still signed off as functioning as designed. They do not communicate at all. The management was unapologetic for damaging my trailer. When I showed up to pick the trailer up it wasn't even ready. Do yourself a a favor......GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Grand Design didn't even know their location in Cathedral City doesn't have service there. I'm exploring further legal options through my work's legal benefits. I'm never bringing anything here ever again!! Most unprofessional company ever. No trustworthiness or honesty here!!!

Ok here we go again. We got our RV back finally after 4 months ruined our whole summer. I checked the recliner was repaired I looked at the stove saw the glass on top of the burners was repaired and decals on the outside were repaired. Drove it home 11 hour drive. After we got home I was getting ready and lifted the glass off the burners and saw when they repaired the glass they took out the grate and forgot to put it back so still cannot use the stove top!! So here I go again called Francisco in repairs got to talk to him I explained they forgot the grate he said he would check on it and call me back. As usual he never called back so I called again and again and left a message. We'll we are back in Colton today and decided to pay them a visit in person and get this taken care of we are sitting right now waiting to talk to a manager. I bet he will never come out. OK.....the sales manager came out he was very nice he called the repair department told them to get this resolved now! So hopefully it's resolved soon but it's not yet

This review is about Fernando in the service department (ONLY FERNANDO). We had so many problems with our trailer and multiple people that work there (I will leave a separate review), but Fernando came in and, within 24 hours, fixed it. He went above and beyond to make sure we had our trailer for our trip and even paid for the new tires himself to make sure it was safe! This man needs a promotion and raise. Never buy a used vehicle here!! I put down a deposit on a vehicle that I was told was being fixed up, and looked over. I learned later it was done by a 3rd party, and they refused to cover the cost or fix anything that wasn't working when they handed off the keys. A list of things wrong. Fridge broke immediately. RV batteries were dead and needed to be replaced There were literal food crumbs on the table extension (they didn't even wipe down the dinette table). Water in the shower was brown. (They didn't clean the pipes) Brakes are squealing (I have to replace brake pads myself) Headlights went out immediately (I had to pay to replace then).

I have a 2023 337rls Grand Design Reflection, I have had it out a half dozen times this year and it has performed great so I was worried when my 12 volt refrigerator quit working! I called Grand Design service and they had me perform a couple of troubleshooting procedures to no avail. they told me to get it in to a dealer for diagnosis. I called Mike Thompson Rv in Colton and talked to Marianna in service and she set a appointment to bring it in. I let her know that if they had any cancellations that they could call and I could bring it in early. They had a cancelation so it took the trailer in four days before my scheduled appointment . I met Marianna at the dealer on a Thursday and she told me she would call me the following week after they looked at it. I got a call the following Monday from Marianna letting me know my fifth wheel was ready! The technician found a loose connection on the circuit board. I know there are lots of reviews that speak to bad outcomes but I witnessed nothing but professionalism from Marianne and all the staff and I am very happy with the outcome. I didn't purchase my trailer from Mike Thompson but they took care of me like I was family. Ron Miller

We bought an RV from the salesman Jim Rose on January 31, 2023. We made an appointment to have one of their people, who did orientations with new owners on a Saturday because we both work. Of course he didn't show up and they had our salesman show us features in our RV. Most of the questions we had, he had to go to ask someone. We were not given a complete rundown of our motor home because he couldn't tell us the features. When we got home, they had not secured a heater plate on the outside and it flew off driving home. Called them immediately and were told they would work on replacing it. After several calls, we found out that the guys handling the heater plate was gone. So a couple months later we went to the Santa Fe Springs store which is much closer and spoke to the manager. Told him the whole story and he was going to take care of us.....get the orientation we deserved, the plate replaced, other questions, etc. Then we found out that he had an emergency with his wife. NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN! Don't go there, we are first time owners and struggle or go without the things equipped on our RV.

The absolute worst place to buy an RV or have it serviced! (Read to the end) I will never step foot on their lot again. Period. I do not write bad reviews. I have waited to write the review to see if I would "cool" off but the anger this has caused still exists. However, this is the exception for me. I purchased our Grand Design through Mike Thompson in Colton. The sales team was great until we got to finance, this is where the nightmare begins... The finance team jerked us around on interest rates, if we bought a certain upsell package, we would get a better interest rate... BS! Then the transfer of the title was a pain because they didn't want to deal with the DMV paperwork from another state. (This is all child's play) We were willing to deal with it because this is the rig we wanted! We then had to take it in for service for severe issues (Frame issues). We not only got the worst service I have ever gotten but we got the run around the whole time. Long story short, I have evidence of the technicians going through our person items, sleeping on my couch, doing random things in our rig. This is our home as we live in it full time. The violated my space! They did not accomplish anything in the time that it was there. When confronting the manager, all he could say was it was embarrassing and did nothing further. I had to take my rig to the manufacture to get the issues resolved. I have blurred the culprits faces. DO NOT GIVE MIKE THOMPSON ANY OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!

Some day we may get our trailer back from the service dept. Took it in May 26 because the auto leveling system kept pausing and one of the jacks is still leaking after they replaced it last year. Get a call that everything was fixed finally so we drive an hour to pick it up. Husband goes out to test the auto level to make sure it's working properly. Wouldn't you know it, still pausing and the Jack is still leaking. Service technician comes out with an attitude to look at it (supposively signed off that everything was working right). Told well we're gonna have to keep it to order the right parts and we'll do that today. Here we are on Sept 5th, I had to go in to the service dept because after 3 messages for an update and no call back, nothing has been done and no calls or orders have been placed for parts. The amount of money, time, and patience that we have spent at this place to get poor customer service from the service technicians is unacceptable.

The people are very nice, and eventually (after 3 days of going back and forth with the service department, and calling Winnebago twice) I got the servicing taken care of on my 6 month old new (2023) vehicle. All I will say is "buyer beware". Don't just sign and initial things without reading them. Go through your service contract upon purchase, and understand what your warrantee does and does not cover, and for how long. DO get an inspection done by a 3rd party; it's worth the money. Also (and this is not on Mike Thompson's), based solely upon my experience with this NEW vehicle, Winnebago quality control appears to be garbage. I've had several issues now with this RV after owning it for half a year. LCD in the cabin died; Sensor broke and fell out of the sliding door; Sink wasn't installed correctly. Cabin batteries died and were already out of warrantee with the manufacturer. Lots of "attention to detail"-type stuff is just sloppy. I don't think that I'd ever consider buying another from this manufacturer.
