I didn’t stay overnight, but I stopped to admire the Fallon Hotel from the outside and it’s absolutely beautiful. The architecture is a perfect example of preserved Gold Rush–era design — brickwork, balconies, and details that look like they’ve been frozen in time. The building is in remarkable condition, a true highlight of the historic district. The little garden beside the hotel is charming too, adding color and life to the classic 1800s look. Even just passing by, it’s clear this is one of the gems of Columbia State Park.

This place was used in the filming of the 1947 movie The Red House with Edward G. Robinson. It was the General Store in the town used by Lon McAllister (whose character name is Nath in the movie).

Charming hotel. All of the rooms and the shared spaces are decorated in era appropriate style. There is no overnight staff on premise but there is a number to call for late arrival or any needs and the staff often call me before arrival to check on time.

Visited Hotel, didn't stay there, however, amazing looking rooms, you almost don't wanna touch the decor though. Host had same dress style like a dress you might find in the year 1850. Don't know that I'd stay there though, kinda creepy! ??Noteworthy details: Love the decor and it is a small town Columbia, fun to walk around, there about three years ago.

It's a lovely step back in time. I had the perfect balcony view. You don't miss the TV in your room, when there's so much to do outside. Wonderful staff, cozy beds, and even a little ghost activity. Things got a little spooky around midnight. I'll definitely be back again.

Famous haunted hotel of the California gold Rush. The bride who died in the fire in the 1850's still walks the hallways as she waited for her new husband to return. Rooms are 1850-1970, elegant Hotel setting. Get old fashion ice cream in the parlor and watch theatre performances. A true gem of the California Gold Rush.

I loved my visit to this historic hotel (with modern amenities). The location, atmosphere and service were excellent. The room was smaller than is standard in modern hotels, but very well appointed and clean. I highly recommend this location and plan to return again.
