This place is GREAT. I needed to fix a gold necklace that once belonged to my mom who has passed away and I did not want to leave it and they had no issue at all fixing it right there in front of me and he even fixed another issue that I had no idea needed it and didn’t charge me extra. This place is honest and super friendly and I am now a lifelong customer because of the great care they take with your items. Thank you so very much!!!!

I have gone here to sell gold and always get a good value on it. I've gone here to buy silver for such a GREAT price . And they're always willing to work for when it comes to an affordable and easy layaway plan for gold. The whole crew is incredible. Been coming here for years and they all remember me. I've tried other jewelers and the only place I'm in my comfort zone is Lao Jewelers at the Commerce center in East Los Angeles on Whittier Blvd.

Hello I purchased a ring about a month ago from here ! I’ve always worn 14k rings and 10k rings never ever in my life have they ever turned green !!!! This one left my finger with green !!!! Please if you go here make sure what ur buying is real if you’ve bought here go get it tested some where else, the percent of gold in there jewelry is less then 30% , owners act like there the only one who know about gold !!!! Then he tells me that the “scrap gold” I traded in wasn’t good no sir old gold is the best and purest! The owner makes you feel stupid and in the wrong when he’s the one scamming people, his gold is not good quality it’s cheap and poorly made forgot to mention the fact that they switch up there prices all the time he said he’d give me trade in value at $180 what the ring is worth ,then he pulls out with $140 THEY DONT KEEP THERE WORD DONT GO THERE IF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT YOUR WEARING AND WHERE YOUR SPENDING YOUR HARD WORK MONEY !!!

I have been coming to Loas over 20 yrs for pieces of jewelry and repairs to things my kids have broken. Lao is very friendly they have excellent communication and most importantly there is trust when leaving your jewelry. He has has some very unique pieces as well as custom name necklaces, rings and more.

The owner was and is such a j*** dont go there he is a cocky person I purchased a chain and he said he would give me money back for what i paid for it to get a bigger chain so when it was time to change the chain he gave 300.00 less then he was supposed to .I asked why did u do that he said sarcasticallyCuz i can im the ownerWHAT EVER YOU DO DONT GO TO HIM HE CHANGES UP ON YOU TRUST ME IVE ALREADY REPORTED HIM REGARDING HIS FAKE DIAMONDshe will come at u all nice sweet joking but he truly is a bi --polarman (not trying to bash mental illness people) but he should take his meds so he doesnt change up like he does when working w/publicnever again will i use that place bad business ethicsKarma is coming your way..there is a difference when it comes to quality and quanity I get it many people go to him because he buy so much quantity but when u wear quality you will know and see the difference. It was convience when I purchased from Lao long or whatever his name is and all the peeps I recommend him will now go yo my new jewelry place maybe his son will do better then his father and his layaway filing system is worthless outdated.

Be cautious when purchasing here. I bought a beautiful necklace here two years ago after I purchased it they said it was going to be a few hundred dollars more if I wanted to pay the rest and still pick it up. They increased the original price a few hundred more dollars saying, because of the diamond, weight of the gold so forth. I agreed, now that it's been sitting in my safe I decided it was time to sell. I went in and the offer they gave me was a slap in the face. I asked why they were offering me bus change for my jewelry and they said the type of gold and quality was cheap. That blew my mind since it contradicted everything they told me when they originally sold it to me. I didn't expect a huge return back, but definitely not chump change. Stay safe out there.
