I like the variety of things they sell. It's as if they were Amazon. They sell bicycle tools, car accessories and some other tools and a bunch of home items and electronics such as tablets. A variety convenience store.

I don't live in Compton anymore but I visit my family I love to stop at general discount they have nice bargains I don't care for the way they watch everybody we all don't steal I work for a living all my life while your watching me the thief is going to rip you off..... I get it but some of us do work!!! And Would Not Risk It All For A Bargain....

The customer service was very horrible. I've shopped here in the past several times and with out incident had a pleasure able experience. Today I come in get my items go to check cashier checks me out the transaction clears but then freezes up they tell me . So now they want my card . I'm not giving them my card because I've just had fraud done on it two weeks ago . So now the supervisor comes out a younger Phillipino woman and she starts to yell out at me I didn't respond at first then I asked her calmly to stop yelling she didn't so now the manager comes out and he was calm not yelling he explained to me what was going on and I explained to him what I saw happened. We calmly figured out that the transaction did process and he didn't need my card and I was free to go . The young lady never came out and apologized and neither did the manger for her yelling and outburst . I will not amd ever shop at this location again and I'm going to advise everyone I know not too. I felted very disrespected and felt like she has something against people of color like she thought she was above me or better than me . When I do have a choice and my choice is not to shop here ever again .

General Discount now sell clothes also most house hole items you may like .One thing they don't sell is shoe's at this time . Two tumes up for General Discount.

Why General Discount don't update the monthly Ad once the previous ended. It take a couple of weeks for new ad to post wich leaves a couple of weeks to get what's on sale. Sucks for customers who doesn't live close to either Compton or Inglewood stores.
