Customer service is terrible. tried to reserve a pod online just to have the sithe tell me toi call to get my quote. then all the same questions asked on line are asked again. get it together pods! guess i have to go with pack rat. they do price matching

I have used pods a few times now. Generally speaking the process has been easy, until this last time. My empty POD container pickup was two days late- and I had movers and deliveries coming and they could not give me a reason why the empty container was never picked up. My account was paid in full at the time and the pods rep I spoke to kindly opened a case for me. I received an email from them to credit my account $50/day for the inconvenience. This is where the problem started. Because I was paid in full they stopped responding to me. I confirmed this was an acceptable solution and I never heard back. Fast forward a month and no response. Still no response. I call and email and nothing. It took me stoping payment on an equal charge for me to hear anything back. I spent over 6 hours on the phone with them. Finally there was resolution or so I thought. We resolve my account to a zero dollar balance and should be all set! Now months later they are trying to say my credit was never approved. Trying to send me to collections- I have emails and phone logs and credit card with forms, none of it matters. I call back, three times to no avail. Another almost 2 hours on this. With how valuable time is this is now a principle issue. the billing/collections team at pods is awful to work with, combative, stubborn and they lack basic financial understanding. So after repeating the same thing to me 10 times I had to hang up. So in summary WATCH OUT. They will not uphold your contract or adhere to delivery dates. They will fake issuing credits but as soon as you force their hand at paying the credit they don't want to pay. There are plenty of better self storage and portable solutions out there!

I'll try to make this short. DON'T use PODS !! They give you up front pricing, for delivery and storage(local) and then charge for every other request. Pick-up of said Pods were a fee, fine ( Don't forget now they have your credit card on file),...now charged for another month of storage 11/28/23-12/27/23, OK, we have them deliver PODS 9 days into said month, yet another charge for drop-off, and one for pick-up of empty PODS. $1120.00 later the PODS are gone from driveway. They will NOT pro-rate the time of storage not used, and it cost more to pick-up the empty PODS than it did to drop off the full ones. There is NO transparency on their website. It was a hard swallow for the drop-off/pick-up fees, but no pro-rating for(storage) time unused,...they will just turn around and re-rent them ?! I can only call it shady practice and double-dipping. But hey, customer service is non-existent today, why should PODS be any different !!? Please don't ask me to discuss it on "
[email protected]" as your customer service rep was quite clear..."we do not pro-rate unused time".

Heed my warning. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. In all my [over 60] years I have never experienced such horrendous service, ineptitude, and thievery. * Tried to deliver when scheduled to pick up. Tried to pick up when scheduled to deliver. * Attempted to charge different than quoted. Attempted to increase monthly charge, and without notice. * Out of nowhere we would see charges for non-requested insurances, miscellaneous fees, or other unknown and even stupid services. * Literally spent hours on the phone to get explanation and reversal of charges. Each time I asked about even one charge it would take the representative 20 minutes to figure out what the charge was for. * Could not get a corrective action or request any sort of service online because my account had a system 'glitch' that was NEVER corrected. So, I had to call for any question or service request. * If a representative was unable to identify or address an issue, a ticket number to escalate the matter would be issued with a promise of response within 24 to 48 hours. I received only 1 response out of 6 tickets. * Received 3 different business hours in which we could schedule the self-empty of our containers. This is rather important when hiring a moving firm to pick-up your contents! I could continue, but I think you get the picture.

On October 18th, I ordered a POD for delivery with a lock.The POD was delivered on the 20th without a lock ornotification that the lock would not be delivered. I called.The PODS customer service representative apologized andoffered a refund for the lock. I stated, "without the lock, thecontainer is useless and I cannot use it with the movers Ihad scheduled and hired. This was a violation of the termsof agreement and I should be due a refund because ofPODS negligence." The customer service representativewas supposed to refund the lock while I attempt to find areplacement lock. The refund was never issued. I followedup with a phone call Monday the 23rd because the officesare closed on the weekend. I scheduled the pick-up of myPOD with the understanding that I would be refunded myfirst month storage due to POD negligence only after alengthy dispute process. I requested they begin theprocess. The process was not initiated until I called again onOct. 24th at which point the customer servicerepresentative acted as if I had not requested the disputethe day prior on the 23rd. Oct. 26th, I finally received anemail from an undisclosed customer advocacy specialistwith not contact information, stating they were my mainpoint of contact. ORDER#4599078I responded to that email on Oct. the 27thin detail about how I had requested a refund that was nothonored at the time of my request. Melissa Colon emailedme a denial of my refund request. 2 days later on November2nd they closed my case without notification. Thetranscripts of the phone calls were only referenced tosupport the business and not the customer. Whenscheduling using the POD resources, I was unable to shiftmy schedule and plans once the lock was not deliveredwith the container. I disclosed this concern on the date ofdelivery and attempted to adjust. I was unable to use thePOD storage because there was no lock available.

Don't ever chose PODS of you're moving! Worst company ever!Paid for everything up front and on a recorded line I asked am I fully paid from A toZ and they said yes. So I asked is there anything else I need to be aware of and they said no. Come to find out before deliver I was charged 190 for protection and 256 for bringing it to my house which I paid for up front! Worst of all they contacted me that they had room to bring it in a day early and if that was ok, and after delivery they went ahead and charged me 178 no once but twice for rush delivery!

I had a disappointing experience with PODs when I requested their service to move my belongings from one location to another. After receiving a quote and providing all the necessary details, including both addresses, I expected a smooth and stress-free move. However, after loading my belongings into the POD and paying for the service, I encountered several issues. PODs refused to deliver the POD to the final destination and suggested that I pick up my belongings at their storage center, presenting this as the only alternative. Unfortunately, this was far from an 'amazing choice.'Throughout this ordeal, PODs exhibited a complete lack of concern for their customers. Despite my efforts to contact them and seek a resolution, they remained unresponsive. It's evident that they prioritize their financial interests over their customers' satisfaction and the service they committed to provide.I've formally requested a refund, but I have yet to receive a response. Given this situation, it appears that legal action may be the only avenue to recover my funds and seek justice for the inadequate service provided. I urge anyone considering PODs to exercise caution and carefully evaluate their options, as my experience has been deeply frustrating and unsatisfactory.

The beginning of the process with pods was great--I was able to get a good quote, and the initial drop off of my pod went off without a hitch. However, it was the redelivery of the pod with all of my stuff in it that was a nightmare. I had to have my pod delivered to a storage unit, and the online system would not let me schedule the delivery. I had to call in three times to schedule my re-delivery, and when I asked them why I couldn't do it online, I was told that there is a glitch in their system that sometimes randomly occurs with some customers. It won't let them schedule anything online. Then they told me that there was nothing they could do about it. That's not good enough. If this is a chronic issue that they are aware of, then they should make strides to fix the issue so that it doesn't happen again. So, I had to make what they called an "off-book reservation." I was told that these types of situations--because they are "off-book" do not update in the system. So there is no way for me to know what is going on with my account until I call in. There were multiple times that I tried to call in but kept getting disconnected. I had to call in to get my estimated drop off time the morning of delivery. Usually, they call when they are about 15 minutes away. I never got a call, and the my delivery window passed without any word. I had to call in to find out what was going on, and after being given the run around, getting up hung up on by customer service, they finally told me after being on the phone with them for nearly 2 hours that my pod was already delivered. No one told me; I didn't receive a call. I was planning to be there at the storage unit when they dropped it off, but I couldn't do that because they never told me they were on the way. Of course, when they were picking up the empty pod, they did call me, and they did update that information online--apparently they easy parts for them delivery and picking up empty pods are able to be updated in the online system without any "glitches," but when they actually have my stuff in the pod, it's impossible to update the status online due to the "glitch in the system." I'm very dissatisfied, and I will not use pods again.

This is horrible customer service. I got storage from my home insurance when we was fixing the kitchen. When the dropped off the storage in front of my house, the guy told me that call them to remove when we done.So, we called them and asked to remove because of we don't need storage anymore, i thought they may just ask address or something. I don't know, so I got the phone number said Pods... stick on storage and called them. I told them but they asked me an account, I don't know because everything from my home insurance. Instead of explaining that I should call my home insurance and tell them to call to move the storage, the person yelled at me. This is customer service, why you raised your voice when customer asked you questions about what they don't know. I told him do not give me an attitude, so he hang up on me. Horrible!

My only issue with customer service is that CLEARLY the training is not provided. There's zero reason why I would have to call a company 8 times and get different answers. If you want to have a minimal stress free move DO NOT USE PODS service. Especially if you're military! I don't understand if an order is canceled, why on earth would a company still hold on to that money AND why do I have to REQUEST my money back (which I've done 5 time). Any normal company, if a service was not provided, refunds are automatic. I've had a rep tell me I don't have a refund, another tell me that it's been processed, another tell me I had to wait for it to be invoiced, another tell me it should take 3-5 business days, and the different answers just keep going. At this point, I am going through the process of requesting this company not be authorized to use for military personnel.ZERO STARS DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! And this is not a ding on the customer service agents, they were all very pleasant. It's clearly an issue with how their internal system works.

Oh my word! Pods is a great company so far. Our driver showed up early, and he is the Dude! Fernando can drive and manage this thing like butter. Like butter! I wanted him to land the pod in a regular parking spot, which has a big berm and it’s difficult for cars to get over that and I’m telling you Fernando managed this thing thing like an absolute pro. He knows his dimensions, his equipment, his timing, his angles. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen to have Fernando land that pod exactly where we needed it-to the inch! On top of it he’s a really, really nice guy. And guess what, he was done in 15 minutes. So impressive! Now I don’t have to worry and I can start my day early with the loading in the packing and whatnot. The pod is super clean. It looks like it’s never even been used and also Fernando gave me a padlock which was really awesome as well. Thank you Pods and thank you Fernando, you guys are fantastic. I hope all your drivers are like Fernando. What a great experience. Five stars without a doubt, and I would give more if I could. Thanks again!

Didn't notify me that they were cancelling my moving date, if I hadn't used an airtag I would have never known they weren't shipping my items on time. Completely inconvenienced me for my 25th birthday + made me take time off unnecessarily at a brand new job as a result. Drivers seem to be aware of the incompetence of the phone operators/website but there's nothing they can do.
