I went to this store's website and found a Wizkids Mimic Life Size statue for a good price. I started the process to purchase it. Their website required me to input my personal information and set up an account before I was able to finish the purchase. Once I set up an account, I tried to finalize the purchase. It was only then that it told me they do not ship items. I called the store thinking this must surely be an error as their website is clearly set up to sell products online. The individual who answered confirmed that they do not ship. I don't know why they collect information and require you to set up an account if you cannot purchase the items. I found it highly inappropriate for them to make me input my information and then tell me I cannot purchase items online, so I submitted a review on Yelp. This review was removed as it was not sufficiently detailed. Someone from Black Diamond Games replied to this previous review. I'm sorry I don't recall what his reply was and Yelp has since removed the entire thing. I felt bad about giving a negative review to a small business, so I emailed them (prior to Yelp removing the review) and offered to remove or amend the review if they were willing sell and ship the item. The response I received was completely unacceptable. They threatened to leave a completely fictitious negative review on my business, which has nothing to do with this transaction, and with which they have never engaged in any business or attempted business. See the attached picture. I blocked out the names for privacy.

Yeah why do the best card shops have to be in the middle of nowhere? Black Diamond Games is a game/hobby shop located in the back side of the Park and Shop strip mall in Concord (home to Ranch 99, Kevin's Noodle House, formerly Fry's electronics, etc.). It's very well stocked with tons of board games, TCG accessories, and more. I've been looking for Katana sleeves for a while in San Jose, where basically every store is sold out of them. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection available here. They also had some more niche Anime sleeves, such as Grand Archive art sleeves. They have a impressive game room in the back with free play available if they're not running an event at the time. There's a bunch of board games on the shelves which you can borrow to play. There's even a well-kept bathroom in the game room. Overall, it seems like a really chill place to hang out and play board games or TCG. The staff is friendly here as well. If I can nitpick about a few things, one is that they don't have TCG singles in their display cases, and two is that some of their items don't have prices labeled on them, so you need to ask. Looking back, I wish we had a store like this in San Jose. The closest we've got is maybe CardArt or pre-Covid Legends Eastridge. Enough talk.

The team working there is very nice and knowledgeable about their stuff. Also, they're honest, and will tell you if they don't have experience/know about the product you're asking for. This a value I really appreciate from them. 10/10.

Have been a long time customer here and fully enjoy it, they have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I usually come here Friday nights for Magic the gathering sealed drafts and Monday night for magic the gathering commander nights. Large crowd lots of diversity in the players. Never had anyone be rude or disrespectful. I would highly recommend stopping in to look around!

They have a great selection of games. The store is very clean and it is easy to find what I am looking for. Staff is usually very friendly and helpful. They offer some great value on discounted games in their ding&dent section, always worth checking that area out.

Inside looks really nice but I went in to play modern. It started by them telling us we were ok 4 rounds. In the middle of some matches I went to look at the singles they had for sale but the guy just told me that one guy took care of single sales but didn't tell me who or when. So I just went back to my table and at the end when I asked about how the prizes worked. The guy started stuttering some stuff before saying that prizes just go to the 3's and 4's. He couldn't even tell me how it worked. I went on their discord to try and maybe figure it out but they just deleted my post. I will never be going back here because of my experience. It's no wonder all the guy's playing were telling me about a better spot in concord that's plays modern in Wednesday.

The store is very clean and the employees and nice and helpful! They have a dinged up section where they sell products at a discount for being slightly damaged. Picked up a couple of sleeves for a great price! Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. Unfortunately to check out the magic singles the manager has to be in but no worries, that just means I'll have to come back!

employees all 4 were not helpful or friendly, i d rather buy elsewhere. sad ti see the remodel didnt xhange the attitude the staff give. I was asking for specific paint on primer and I was told oh it's over there it wasn't over there then I went over and there's no price tags on anything I asked him what the prices and they said oh it's on there meanwhile all standing at the counter I'm not new but what if somebody was new and getting in it would be very helpful for someone to come over and help I'm worked retail for a very long time and this is not how things are done, fingers area we've never had a good game store and I really wish we did you even canceled MTG standard which is the only thing that I played so why should I even come in I'm doing my own research finding my own products paying more money I don't understand what the business is

Only got to stop in quickly, but the store looked amazing. Huge selection of all sorts of games - not just the more "nerdy" games, but ones that will be fun for any sort of family game night as well. Highly recommend coming on by and getting a game for everyone!

This is a clean, friendly, board-and-RPG friendly store. There are games to suit most every taste, and the store has game tables in the back on two levels. RPG offerings include up to date WotC and Paizo fare, but they also stock independent RPGs, third-party supplements for 5e and Pathfinder, and a lot of goodness in between. Board games, card games, and tons of accessories are available with a very friendly staff. Stock is up to date in most departments. Highly recommended if you’re looking for games in the East Bay.

Love this game store. Started out taking my son to pick out miniatures to paint for the early days painting contests and stayed for the great selection, awesome customer service and gaming events.

Great hobby store focused on board and card games. They have a vibrant community of Pokemon enthusiasts that were great to interact with. Our 7 year old son had a blast.

Great for all gamers that like live games. No video games available, but they have dnd, magic the gathering, among their selection of other board games as well as cool memorabilia.
