The Macy's in the Sun Valley Mall, Concord, CA. has the worst customer service I've ever seen. I went there today (Apr 8, 2023) to buy some clothing in the Men's Department and found that there was only one register opened in the ENTIRE Men's Department. There were nearly 20 customers in line at the one register. Where was the Men's Department manager? I noticed that there were 4 to 5 employees manning the cologne registers! What? What kind of customer service is this? I told one of the employees behind the men's cologne counter of the situation and he said he knew and it was insane. Did he help? NO! I finally put all my garments back and walked out. Macy's can never / ever compete with Nordstroms. Macy's is a joke. I truly hope they go out of business. I will NEVER shop there again!

The service I received from Ashley at the Mac counter Macys SunValley Mall-Concord, CA store #323 is outstanding! No matter how busy that counter gets, Ashley is always attentive and very helpful towards clients. She deserves recognition and a shout out!

This place is amazing! I walked in and I was delightfully greeted by a handsome man named Robert. He helped me pick the correct shoe fit after he analyzed my feet thoroughly. I will definitely be coming back again to see Robert and his charming smile!

At the end of my call regarding an issue, i was to be provided a survey. The trick my representative use was to not hang up and after some time she placed my call on hold waiting for me to hang up and forgo the survey even though my survey wasn't going to be a bad one.

My daughter went Macys mac counter the other day. The lady Ashley was kind and patient despite her being busy with multiple customers. My daughter went in for a demo with little to no knowledge of how to do makeup. Ashley showed her exactly what to do what to buy and how to take care of her skin. My daughter came back understanding the difference between makeup products and how to use them. She is greatly appreciated in this outstanding employee. Highly recommended.

My Wife went to the bathroom on the 2nd floor for employees and public, and it was Wednesday at around 3 or 4 o'clock my Wife told me while using the bathroom a elderly Asian lady came out of the bathroom and did not wash her hands, my Wife told her excuse me lady while covering her name tag told her to wash her hads...she replied, its non of your business, my told her it is my business your going to touch the merchandise out there and we just got over the pandemic, she just walked away, Managers please see this message and remind your employees to practice hand washing no matter what, thanks

I can accept a little bit of disorganization during the holiday season, but this store is a train wreck. I walked up to a completely empty fragrance counter and asked if they could ring up a simple belt. The woman said go get in line on the other side of this partition. Then she went back to doing absolutely nothing. I watched another poor customer go to three different check stands to try to return something, only to be directed to the check stand in the men's suits department. She waited in line for 15 minutes while I shopped. When she got to the front of the line, they told her she had to go downstairs to another department to return her item. Clearly she was frustrated, so she left this check stand and walked across to the other clerk at the fragrance counter and returned her item.Clearly employees are poorly trainedShopping for men's suit jackets one finds all of the hangers mismatched with the proper sizes. Merchandise is lying on the floor in piles. The store was not especially crowded.They're getting two stars not one because once I finally got to the front of a checkout line, the woman was reasonably friendly.Shop here if you require absolutely no help with merchandise and if you're okay with poorly trained and obviously overworked employees.

This review is solely for the shoe department. The employees today were awful! I asked the Indian man for assistance, but he appeared uninterested to assist. You know when you look like a teenager and people assume you won't purchase anything. Yes, he had one of those attitudes!I decided against purchasing the desired boots after trying them on and realizing they were not a good fit for me. Instead, I chose a different pair. The three employees merely stood around as I waited at the register for assistance (they seen me waiting).Indian man eventually assisted me once again. He questioned, "You don't want those shoes? (looking to where I was sitting)". "No," I said. Then he asks, "Is the box over there? (with this look on his face like I was stealing)." I felt insulted. What other place could they be? He didn't pose that question to any of the other patrons. Today's shoe department shopping was an FAIL. DO BETTER!

Macy's in Sunvalley Shopping Center has two sections. The Macy's regular store and the Macy's Backstage store. The regular Macy's store looks very up-to-date. The front entrance looks luxurious. The decorations inside the store give me an elegant feeling as well. However, they seem doesn't seem to have enough employees covering the store. I guess it is because of the labor shortage problem! On the other hand. The Macy's Backstage store. Where you are supposed to find the bargains, most items are not profoundly marked down. They have very few things that are marked down a lot. But most are useless stuff! The Macy's Backstage store layout is similar to Ross or TJ Maxx. The cashier check-out counter is at the store's exit with a line in front of the counter. The ladies working at the cashier counter are pretty friendly!

I saw 18" - 7-8mm cultured pearls online for a ridiculous price. My BFF would love them! I figured it would order them and if I didn't like them, I could return it on the spot. Started at the customer service desk and Samaria was very nice and helpful. After scanning the QR, she said I needed to pick it up in fine jewelry. Two lovely women took my receipt and we're off the look for the necklace. Meanwhile, I asked a fine gentleman to fit me with my watch band. I laughingly said it was my Rolex knock-off. He smiled and corrected me that my Tissot was a fine timepiece. The ladies returned with my purchase and gave it the the timepiece associate. With ID and signature, it was mine. He helped open the box and I inspected the petals Wow! The pearls have great luster and color! The size was evenly matched throughout the strand. AAA quality. The necklace is well strung. Checking to see if I can order another!

I literally went to finish line in the SunValley Mall to buy some shoes for my son. They had a line to go into the store which you can except since it was a Saturday. We are line for about 10-15 minutes waiting for our turn to go in. Well a lady walks up from shopping in the mall and says her husband is in the store and the worker Alec lets her right in!!! WTH we have been waiting in line and this lady gets to go right in just because she says her husband is in the store!!! Not right at all she should have waited just like everyone else was!!!! I called the store and the manager MINDY was beyond rude and sarcastic!!!! She found nothing wrong with what her employee had done!!! Mindy should not be managing this store and the employees should not give special preferences to people that they choose!!!!!!!

What a waste of my time. I was charged 418.69 just now on my debit card. Drove out of my way to pick up a Movado Watch connect 2.0... I get to the store and the order is cancelled. I talked to Danny, an incompetent leader, that did not know why. Didn't bother to find out why it was cancelled. I am now on hold with customer service. What a complete waste of my time and whay horrible customer service.... Just got off the phone with customer service. 8 to 14 business days for a refund. Wow. Never gain.

Every employee was wearing a mask. I couldn't find what I was looking for. They closed at 7 pm on Monday. The workers were very helpful to my parents. The beauty/makeup area was so pretty. My parents and I were inside past 7 and we were able to get out. We were not locked in.
