I just visited the JCPenney store at Sunvalley Mall and it was such a pleasant experience. I spoke with several employees on the sales floor and at the online pickup desk. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and professional. The store was very clean, organized and inviting. I am very happy with the quality and fit of the items I purchased. I look forward to my next visit.

Never met someone as rude as the lady named Cynthia that works at this Concord JC Penney! I asked her if she was open twice and she proceeded to ignore us until I set my stuff down on the counter. We had a pair of pants that didn’t have a tag, so I got the same pants in a different size but with a price tag to show her. I explained to her that I brought a duplicate so she could scan it and she arrogantly looked at me and said “I know my job, that’s why they have me here” which I responded that “ I was just trying to help!!!!”Imagine working for customer service and you can’t do the basics of treating paying customers with respect! At the end, she threw the receipt on the counter. You’d think since she “knows her job” she would know respect and how to treat customers! Terrible experience! How can JC Penney have people like her working here! Horrible horrible!

Came into the store between the hours 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm. 4/10/2024. I went in to ask if they had a JCPenney bag I could buy for 10 cents so I wouldn’t have to walk around the mall with my brand new just bought Apple iPad. The lady on the top floor was very rude. Me and my husband asked for a JCPenney bag and she said no I said we can’t buy them for 10 cents anymore? She looked at us very arrogantly and said in a condescending sarcastic voice sorry times have changed and gave a snarky smile. Me and my husband were just shocked I said do you not sell bags anymore? or do you just not give one unless we buy something? And she said yup u have to buy something then proceeded with how times have changed and she was very unkind/snarky about it. We were able to get a bag from the kind people at the boxlunch store for free!(: She didn’t have to make the snarky comments and treat us like trash. She simply could’ve said according to our store policies we can’t give bags to non paying customers sorry and thank you for stopping into jcpennys. It’s literally as simple as that!! It takes a lot more words and energy to be rude than to be kind and simple about things. Me and my husband had a grand time shopping for other things in the mall and we were both dressed up nice so the way we were treated didn’t make sense. It’s possible she’s a racist since I’m Mexican and my husband is Asian. I told the manager what happed and she kindly explained the policies with no problem however she didn’t care at all about my experience with what happened. The whole store is mainly ran by a bunch of moody miserable old ladies. You’d think when someone looks dang near 70 they’d know proper customer service and how to do their job. Will not be returning anytime soon(:

They Suck so bad ! Night crew/manager suck! Only 1 lady was willing to help us. All we wanted was to pick up our order We were downstairs waiting and the kid looked at us and started walking away like if we didn't see him. When I went to approach him and an older lady and another fella and told them I had been waiting they said well our register is closed and we're closed now. And I said ya but we've been waiting and you weren't closed then. They closed super early just to leave . I let the manager know and she basically just looked at me and said ya okay and? They prob just closed . Ummm no?? I had been waiting and no one approached us. She said well to bad now they're closed. What a manager ! What customer service! Cancelling my order and going elsewhere No point in spending my time or money here.

I love JCpenny, so this is a review about the makeup area on the second floor where Sephora used to be. I walked in to see a few clearances they had and saw lipsticks that had a great price. However they had no testers and didn't know if they would look good on me. I'm not nasty so I grabbed a clean lip sampler swab and dunked it into the product I was aiming to buy. Instantly, the cashier came to me and told me I wasn't allowed to do that. I got irritated but calmly left anyway because she just works there. As a customer, I would never buy anything that I'm not sure if I like, and if I bought it to try it I wouldn't be able to return it. I'll just stick to Sephora.

Their portrait department sucks how the Fffff does corporate make them book appointment 15 min after each other ! got their employees working like dogs. Their reviews were already bad but i was hopeful! 1) our appointment was 11:45am we didn't get our pictures taken until after 1:30pm. after our stupid 15 min shoot. we waiting 1 hour and 30 min to be told they were still editing. I HAD A TODDLER WAITING WITH ME OVER 3 1/2 hours!!!!!! 2) after waiting 1hour 30 min for our pictures to get edit. we asked what was happening and got told they were being editing and if we wanted to come back we could. I tried to pay and she said it was no point of paying yet bc the pictures weren't even done editing so i woulnt know what i wanted. She told me to come back when they were not busy (idk when bc that doesn't seem to happen at this location), I was told i could return under 60 days for my pictures. 3) With already having a toddler waiting over 2 Fffff hours ! I left. AGAIN BEING HOPEFUL. Today i went to TRY TO review my WHAT was SUPPOSED TO BE MY FAMILIES CHRISTMAS PICTURES TO BE TOLD THAT THEY ARENT EVEN SAVED IN THEIR FILES MY PICTIRES WERE NOOOOOO WHERE TO BE FOUND IN THEIR FILES!! I paid for makeup ! I paid for outfit to be able to get ready for what was supposed to be a family christmas shoot ruined alll because Corporate wants to overbook a shoot. I don't care for a discount that is all they can poorly offer me! This is so ridiculous All they promised was to look into picture archives files and to them they might not even bother to do it but i will be coming back ! The staff on Saturday December 23 will hear from me AGAIN . The Staff working Saturday December 17 alll overworked a good amount of them gave some type of good customer service. YOU WILL WAIT OVER 2 hours if you come here ! Trash Trash Trash The worker told me that had just happen to some one else and the Assistant manager i talked to said that never happen so i know they definitely do this often ! and seem to just now care !

The sale prices were great but I was disappointed that I didn't find more. At least the location at Sun Valley Mall in Concord has a Women's Plus Size department but their Buyer is definitely missing the mark about what plus size women want to wear. Mid rise pants are NOT one of them. Maybe that's why they were on sale but ample stock...not moving. I was disappointed with the quality of displays. Some merchandise had no signage or price tags, I passed them by. Other racks of clothes did not match the signage of what should be hanging there. I used to work for JCP many years ago, in a smaller store, but we were always at the top of our district. And we got the employee perks/discounts that came with it. They probably don't do that anymore. And my old store isn't there anymore, but I still know what is expected when I walk into a JCPENNEY.
