Add Joann's to the growing list of brick & mortar stores plummeting on every measure w/a clock just ticking at their eventual closing. Joann's used to be a great experience, my go to for everything craft/sewing/cute home decor but is now a post apocalyptic experience. Empty shelves, long lines, nonexistent customer service. The fabric cutting ladies seem experienced but spread thin. Bathrooms are indeed unusable as others have reviewed. Very weird times.

The last two times I’ve been there, many of the shelves were decimated. Maybe I was just unlucky enough to show up in between restocking? I was especially disappointed with the lack of availability of crochet needles. Michaels, fortunately, was well stocked.

They lock the public bathroom and don't bother to inform anyone that the key is kept at the cutting table. I used to like this store, but it's becoming less appealing due to weak supply and terrible overall selection. Sad that they have become the only place to shop for crafts stuff. Hobby Lobby is the only option. Next thing they will be locking up all the scissors. Oh wait! They already have! Sad. But true.

went online before going to store to make sure item was in stock. Could not find said item and approached an associate. she was nice and told me shows 8 in stock and that theyre probably in back ... and she walked away. literally walked away . Went to front cashier and ask her the same question. She said all we have is out in store. She didn't ask anyone to check the back etc. I will not shop here again. Believe the reviews when they say this place is a dump. It is a complete mess. Went online and shopped Michaels. Great customer service my online order was ready for pickup within 10 mins! I will shop there from now on.

I just needed a vase. Asked 3 employees to help me find one, they point and say over there. Very unhelpful staff.

Ordering online is useless. EVERY time I place an order 40%-50% of my order is cancelled DAYS later due to being out of stock. This has been an issue for years now. My favorite is when I have ordered 3 yards of a fabric & they notify me, again, DAYS later they can only ship 1 yard. REALLY??? Do you know ANYTHING about sewing??? You cant make 1 yard work for a pattern that requires 3!!! Ever heard of keeping your inventory up to date??? I highly recommend shopping at Michaels for projects instead. At least when you place an order you can count on actually getting it. Joann.com has ruined my decorating plans & projects for the LAST time. For fabrics there are lots of reliable websites that if you order 3 yards you GET 3 yards not just 1.

Horrible, deceptive tactics. Unprofessional service desk. No longer a customer. Share the word.

Worst Joanns I have ever stepped foot in in my life and the employees literally catcalled someone in the store and called another person the f slur.

August 2023 by Emily I.
Today Wednesday, August 16 around 2PM my partner and I were shopping in Joanns when we were unknowingly followed by two teenage male employees. While we were in an aisle, one of these employees came around the corner to our aisle, approached me and whistled at me in a sexual manor. He scurried off around the corner and began to laugh with his coworker. My partner and I walked by both men and unprompted the other employees called my partner a f**got. As a queer couple we felt extremely threatened and shocked by their behavior. We immediately told the store manager and several employees and they all excused these boys behavior by explaining 'they are special needs students that work for us through a program.' Special needs is no excuse for blatant homophobia and misogyny. I also have no reason to believe these boys have tourette's, as this was a very intentional, thought out 'prank' of sorts- rather than an involuntary or spontaneous tic. Mind you, they have some sort of teacher or job coach that walks around the store with them- and he only had walked away for a moment when these boys formulated the plan to harass us after we first walked by them. Couldn't track the teacher down/ got no direction from other employees as to where he went to speak to him directly. If your employees/ student employees cannot be left alone for a single minute without using violent and aggressive language towards customers they should NOT be allowed to work on the floor. While the store manager said she would 'talk to the boys' there was no indication there would be repercussions, and no further guidance on how I could report this or be compensated for this barrage. I could not peacefully shop in Joanne's without being sexually harassed, verbally assaulted with homophobic slurs, and dismissed by higher ups- so I will NEVER be doing business at this store again. Not to mention the store itself was a MESS- the isles were in complete disarray, missing so many products and was totally disorganized. Also reporting this experience to customer service and corporate. Nice job losing a loyal customer Joanne's.
