I'm not sure when I'm the only one here that is taking 20 minutes to make me four tacos. There's a lot of conversations and gossip happening but no food preparation.

The heart of monument. This is my favorite supermarket, and ever since they renovated las montanas does a good job at feeling like you were transported somewhere. They have great selections of meat, fruits, vegetables, Spanish condiments, etc. There's much to see, and a lot of to-go food options, breakfast, lunch, dinner items, a buffet style bar, as well as food made to order. I love the renovations they've made, there's even tables and two rooms to eat your food at. Employees are great too!

Tamales: I don't live in Concord but I shop at this store often. I usually get tamales. Where I live we have 0 Mexican or Hispanic stores like this. Unfortunately, I will no longer pay their very high prices for tamales here, I'm DONE. Mostly maza, the Queso con Rajas has queso but this is 4th time I only get 2 small rubbery texture Jalapeños. Not sure why their jalapeños are rubbery texture but clearly they are NOT fresh jalapeños. If they care, they will improve this item and add more jalapeños (at least add 1 more to make it 3) and use REAL jalapeños like all other places selling tamales. Pork ones, good. Chicken WERE good when they made them w/salsa verde but last month they made them with red sauce in banana leaves and they were horrible.

Friendly and helpful employees, mostly fair prices of produce, and I love their Mexican rice, beans, and carnitas at also very reasonable prices. I can not say the same about other Hispanic grocery stores like MI Tierra, for example, where prices are ridiculously high.

Fruit tart is literally canned whipped cream topped with canned fruit for almost $30. Tarts are supposed to be filled with custard not canned whipped cream

⭐For Bakery area. I bought three pieces of bread this morning 06/11/23 I don't know the name of it, one specific was hard, the others was okay. The price was high compared with what I got.I suggest to check very well when is time to put the new pan dulce, I understand that the business don't wants loose money and they still wants to sale product from the day before or product that still feels fresh. But the thing is that customer like me, never think to buy again in places like that.My family always shop at Las Montañas on San Pablo Ave. And never I tried a hard pan dulce like this. Some places don't lose customers because they know how to move the new and old product, and they halve the prices in the mornings or afternoons for the product that was not sold fresh.Customer service was very good, the lady ?was very kind in bakery area.

I love me some pan dulce, my husband said this is what the lady picked for him. So disappointed! Looks like the bakery needs to clean the pans better or throw out the flour! Is it burnt bread crumbs or bugs?!? Who knows! Ugh!

I went to get some lunch here, got a beef milanessa torta and a carnitas crispy taco. The food was surprisingly good. The carnitas was cooked well, slightly bland, however when combined with the spicy Verde sauce it was a great balanced taco. The milanesa was good, especially since they used the fresh bread from the bakery. The milanesa was assembled well, and is what you'd find in any legit spot. I liked the food here more than the restaurants with the better yelp reviews in the area because it's traditional Mexican food made well.
