Steve was super helpful. I had a question about a cabinet hinge and he was patient, knowledgeable and showed me how to fix it.

Take a "make + take" class! Ray is just the most knowledgeable yet patient instructor, giving expert guidance, along with a few corny jokes, to help you make something you'll be proud of! I took the 2-part charcuterie board class and though I'm a novice with arthritic hands, I now have the most beautiful creation that all my friends are ooohing and ahhhing over. The class size is small so Ray was able to give each of us individual assistance. My classmates each had different skill levels and comfort zones with saws and power tools, and what's great about Ray's technique is he communicates clearly step by step so even the most beginning level student can keep up with the more advanced participants. Outstanding instructor, outstanding class, so much so that I've signed up for another to learn how to make a lazy susan for my kitchen table!

First time there today, and Tim, who works there, was super helpful and knowledgeable about everything we spoke about. Will definitely be going back for his excellent service!

A lot of tools and stuff you won't find in the big box stores but if cost is a factor shop elsewhere. There's plenty of low cost supplies available for projects and gifts. Staff seems friendly and willing to help. I would be interested in their classes but it's too far and a bit out of the way for me from Pleasanton.

The store is amazing. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Love the selection of tools, so happy you have the store near me as a hobby woodworker.

Had such a good time at a bowl turning class with Tim. He was super helpful and was able to assist at all the right times. Would absolutely recommend the classes here!

Drove two hours with traffic from San Jose to pick up a saw stop CTS. I had called earlier in the day to make sure it was there so it's not to waste a trip. I arrived to find they did not have it in stock. Wasted 3 hours of my day in traffic. No saw.

This store has many nice and helpful employees, but one of them was very rude.I met him multiple times when I was shopping there, but he always had a bad attitude and was impatient when we asked for help.Last time(May 12 ) when I was on my way there, I was trying to buy just one item and I knew where it was placed in the store, but the traffic slowed me down significantly and I knew I was going to arrive late, so I called the store and explained that I’ll be there at 7:00 pm (their closing time) sharp and if they can wait for me for just one minute for me to grab the stuff and pay for it.The rude employee was the one picking up the phone, instead of giving me a proper answer of if he can wait or not, he impatiently asked me a bunch of unrelated questions and avoid telling me if he can wait or not.I eventually arrived there at 7:00 pm sharp, but when I got there, he shut the door and refused to let me in to buy that one thing I needed.I understand that he’s just closing the store on time, but he could’ve told me that he won’t wait for me earlier on the phone and save me all the troubles.

If you're into woodworking or even if you're simply looking for a particular something for your woodworking project, this is the place. In my mind they're comparable to what you get at an ACE Hardware (vs. the big box stores) but more specialized. They have that small business feel and everyone I came in contact with was friendly and passionate about the craft, therefore excited to talk to customers. I'm looking forward to taking a class or two at some point.

My favorite Rockler location! I have come here to buy woodworking supplies and the staff is always so helpful and friendly. As great as the customer service is, my favorite part of this Rockler location are the amazing classes. I’ve made a bowl and charcuterie board so far and Ray and Jesse are wonderful instructors! Highly recommend!

Every time I have a woodworking project and I need that 1 trick item, tool or the correct stain. I go to the other big box stores and they don’t have it. But Rockler does every time.

I love this store great wood good tools and deals BUT some of these older guys are a pain I dread to return stuff as they get mad at me for not having a receipt but I give them my phone number and maybe they don't have the technology but don't blame your customer! And when you check out they always say did you see the product of the month and I say no I don't want it the really try to force you to buy it my money unless you're going to give it of for free then stop asking so if you going to return something do have a old guy do it unless you want them so yell at you!! also the cabinet hinges SUCK my dad tried to return them with no receipt and they said we can't do anything really rocket get a better solution!

Really surprised by the number of positive reviews. I've been buying from Rockler for the past 25 years and today will be my last day shopping there. I went in the store to purchase a Festool Dust Separator. Found the display model and went to the front desk to ask if they had a new unboxed unit. First, I had to wait until the employee to finish his personal business then told him what I wanted and he said he would have to go to the back of the store, then he continued what he was doing. I started to walk out when he said I'm going, then he came back and said they were out of stock. Another employee overheard the conversation and said there is one in the back that was returned. So I asked him to see the tool before I bought it, and saw it had been used and still had sawdust inside and no packing material. When I asked if he can work with the price, he said we don't discount Festool and I said I don't pay new prices for used tools.

Every time I am there I’m a kid in a candy shop. Really good vibe. I’m always grabbing the senior guy in his lair for carpentry advice. They also give classes which I might attend. I go there about once a week or so when I’m busy on a project.
