Love the preschool. I could never do that job, let alone have the passion for it day in and day out... But Ms S and Ms D do and they have made my child a wonderful person who is getting smarter and smarter every day.

Let me start with my background. I grew up in the area (Pleasant Hill) But did not go to any catholic schools. I went to a baptist church with grandma on Sundays when I was a kid. And then became frustrated with religion when I became a teenager. And still carry some frustrations still. I work as a firefighter in the area and obviously believe in doing good for my community. I have two kids that go to this school. 6th grade and 1st grade. They have been enrolled every year of their education. Our enrollment here started because we had some very good friends that were sending their oldest (my goddaughter) to St. Ag.. Mainly it was my wife (who is Catholic) that wanted our kids to go here. I was reluctant. Again. Not a huge religion fan. Plus. Even more than that I did not want to spend money on a school when there was a good school two blocks from our house. But. We went with St. Agnes. Mrs. Ghelfi the kindergarten teacher was the most impressive woman I have ever meet. She loves each one of those kids with all her heart. She is Marry Poppins and Glenda the Good Witch all in one. Every kid should have a teacher like Mrs. Ghelfi. Remember I'm not a religious person. I do believe in a higher power. And I do believe in being spiritually aware. AND most importantly I believe in love. LOVE. And what I have learned from the staff, administrators, kids and parents at St. Agnes is that love does exist. And it needs to be encouraged. I believe that we don't talk about love enough. But at St. Agnes. I see it everyday. The parents are on the same page. We all want our kids to be good decent respectful members of our community. I will not blow smoke up your 6. There are of course times when kids are mean. But I really feel like all the kids do care about each other. They do understand the value of life. Which brings me to the reason for this review. I honestly could go on and on, on why I value this school. I could tell you about the amazing conversations that I have had with my kids about serious subjects. I could tell you about all the great relationships I have formed with parents at the school and the activities we do outside of school. I was encouraged to write this review by some parents because of how Passionately I talked about St. Ag.. And at first I didn't really think anything of it. But recently I have seen some pretty scary things in this country. Namely the violence of mass shootings. I feel so bad for all those involved. I wonder about the shooters. I wonder. Were they loved by their parents or teachers? Were their teachers allowed to tell them how much they cared about them? Did they know what love was? I can't help but wonder if they had gone to a school where love was discussed openly? Would they have done what they did? Of course I want my kids to be smart. And of course I want them to be successful. But most of all. In want them to be good people in society. I want them to respect others and show compassion for people. Seriously Im not a church guy. I do see horrific acts of violence in my profession. And I take a lot of pride in knowing my kids are getting more than just a education when they go to school. They are becoming beautiful caring people. If you are a parent who is maybe frustrated with what you see at the public school you attend. Maybe you believe there is more than just counting and reading. Do you believe in love? Come to St. Ag. But just know. Its more than a school. Its a family of like minded parents. And we all work together to make the kids experience better and better each year.

All 4 of my children attended St. Agnes school. Excellent academic program and prep for high school and college. Of even more importance is the spiritual, moral, and ethical formation the kids receive. Best investment we ever made for our kids!!!
