Some of the reviews are deceptive, as some (at least three) are by personal friends of the staff apparently posted as a counteractive measure to the negative reviews.I stopped by the gym, on several occasions, hoping to look around and ask about membership, but apparently the gym isn't staffed on a regular basis. On one occasion the door was propped open so I went in to check it out. There were a couple of members there, but no staff. The gym has basic equipment, such as weight machines and free weights but minimal amenities, such as showers or classes. The members present were helpful in answering my questions, but didn't have anything positive to say about the staff. Staff apparently bad mouth, gossip and post derogatory notes about members they don't like. In fact, a staff member named Kristin and her friends are bad mouthing and making threats regarding anyone who writes a negative review about the gym in an effort to harass and intimidate them, including spreading false, malicious, slanderous and defamatory information.Apparently, this staff person also has a history of harassing people and inciting her friends to harass people on social media, including an admin. of the Facebook group What's Happening on The Divide. She posts inappropriate and false information regarding gym members and former gym members, which is highly unprofessionalism and a breach of member confidentiality. The owner really needs to step in and take charge of the this out of control employee.

The equipment is not safe and properly secured. The ab/back machine fell over with a member, while he was using it, even though he was using the machine properly. The owner was alerted to the incident and viewed it on sureveilance.

I love this gym! The most fun I've ever had working out is with Kristen the personal trainer! It's super easy to get in with a code you pick! You can literally go work out at ANYTIME. 24/7 It's always clean & organized. I cannot say enough good things about this spot, especially the price is super affordable.

Absolutely love this gym & always amazed how much Scott, the owner, loves our community so much that he put in 3 gyms!! Kristin, who works & is a personal trainer at Ironworks is seriously the kindest, sweetest & most helpful trainer! Her bootcamps are always butt kickers & she is so motivating! The gym may be in a small town but has everything you need and run by people with BIG hearts! Love them! ❤️

The gym and staff are highly unprofessional and unethical. The staff regularly post harassing and threatening signs in the gym, such as " If you take towels home, we will kill you" and " Keep your opinions outside," with another sign on the trash can, in the facility, that reads "Suggestions," just a couple of examples of many. Most businesses welcome suggestions and feedback to help improve their patrons experience. I don't know what started the suggestion issue, however, the fact that the gym is not only not open to suggestions, but hostile about it speaks loudly to their unprofessionalism and poor customer/ public relations.Like most people, I go to the gym to unwind and have an enjoyable experience, without the stress of feeling that I am walking into a war zone between a staff member and a couple if gym members. When new members ask for an orientation to familiarize themselves with the facility, staff and equipment, they are told to hire a personal trainer for that purpose. When people cannot access a gym, via the electronic key pad, and contact the owner, they are treated like idiots and told they need to enter the right code, when more often than not, it is due to the faulty key pad. The gyms are also rarely staffed. There is a female personal trainer, at the Cool gym who is helpful with male members, but ignores female members, unless they are willing to hire her as a personal trainer and even then, she spends most of her time texting on her phone, when she is with the client. This same staff member is also responsible for some if the above mentioned inappropriate signs in the gym.During the COVID outbreak, the Iron Works gym remained open, allowing access to members and charging them, through automatic withdrawal, even if they didn't use the gym, during this time. This was in direct violation of State and Federal mandates and health codes. Other gyms were forced to close, during this time or face violation citations and fines. The owner and staff may feel they can treat gym members so badly, maintain such poor customer/ public relations and conduct business in such an unprofessional, unethical and illegal manner because they almost have a Monopoly on gyms in the area, however, there is another gym in Cool and I ,for one, am willing to drive a distance to go to a gym whose staff are courteous, professional, helpful and caring. There is also the option of filing complaints with regulatory agencies and filing law suits.

There are 3 locations. My local one is in Georgetown but I've been to the one in Cool a handful of times as well. Very chill place to workout, it's peaceful, has nice equipment, and it's 24 hours! The gyms are always very clean and the owner seems like a nice guy. Reasonably priced as well.

Nice gym! Was free for my first time and the lady working was very helpful. A little out of my way coming from Auburn but was glad I went to check it out. I will say the gym could use a little more ... Idk, character? I'd put up some wall art and some more mirrors. Other than that, the equipment was great!

Great little gym! Would like if they had hand sanitizer and the blinds opened though. Still great for the price.

I love this place. It's always clean, always open, never crowded and the monthly fees are more than reasonable. If you want personal training, try Kristin. She's fantastic and trains at beginning to expert levels. I give it 5 stars
