We have used Ranchers for 3 years now and were always very happy with their butchering in the past. However, this year was completely the opposite of what we had come to expect.
We had them process two hogs this year and the sausage is inedible. It tastes like it was processed in a machine that was washed in dish soap and was not rinsed, leaving a film in our mouths that can only be eliminated by brushing our teeth. We ordered Italian and breakfast sausage, but aside from the soapy taste, there is absolutely no seasoning.
We paid extra for smoking of the hams, which was also not the quality we had in the past. When we asked about it, we were told that they used the small smoker this time, which did not develop the smoked color and flavor that we had gotten in past years.
Many of the packages were not sealed properly and the meat was already starting to get freezer burn at the time we picked it up from the butcher shop.
When we got home and discovered that the number of packages that were written on our order sheets did not match what was in the boxes, we called and spoke to the owner, who never bothered to return our call after he said he would look into it. The customer service was far below what we had experienced before. The employees had all changed from the year before, and their lack of knowledge and concern was quite obvious.
If I didn't know better, I would think that the shop was under new ownership, as the quality was the absolute worst we have ever had. Will definitely never go back and would not recommend them to anyone going forward.

Had my grass fed steer and a cow butchered here. I've been harvesting animals for over 40 years. The meat came back with a horrible flavor. I asked around and found I was not the only one who had this experience. Not the place to have your animal processed.

So impressed with this shop! I had a hog that was 4-6 weeks out from butchering. After calling around and being told that they could fit me in in 4-6 months (rather rudely I might add), I had a friend recommend Ranchers. They got me fit in within a couple weeks and we’re a joy to talk to. They came to our house and butchered our hog, their cleanup was immaculate and their team was professional. Our meat was processed in great time and their prices were extremely fair. The best part was that everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend them 100% of the time, we will continue to take our business here!

Can't reccomend enough. Processed a hog we bought from Mata Farms. Best experience with processing and packaging we've had to date, and we've had some pretty crappy ones! Ranchers is tops.

Had my deer processed at Ranchers and I'm very satisfied with the whole process. Super friendly and quality work done with my deer. Jalapeños and cheddar links are excellent.

No longer does sandwiches. Headed here due to the great reviews on sandwiches only to find out they haven't had the deli component of the business for over a year.

Quality meats that will make you come back for more!!! Stop in and grab some staples for your freezer for some great prices. Side note the woman at the counter was so friendly helpful and welcoming!

We had a steer butchered and have us 3 boxes of ground beef and 2 boxes of steaks ect... supposed to be 450lbs also our street was black angus and meat was bit soft like black angus should be we know how black angus is supposed to be

Good friendly staff. Had to use them on the pintch due to still having one tag to punch. Pricing seemed a bit steep, but after getting my meat back I was not disappointed.

The pepper sticks are bigger than I like, but that’s what comes with using a new butcher I guess. Little pricey and I got charged $4.50 for a box to put the processed deer in. I found that to be a little ridiculous after spending $405 with them. Had to use them in a pinch, but I’ll make sure not to put myself in the same situation next time and get my deer over to Orland instead. Other than that, everything turned out fine.
