Lovely, low key atmosphere. Ten minutes to get just about everywhere, including the beach!

We just finished a wonderful 3 night stay at Cherokee Lodge. We stayed in room 3 and while the room is not huge, we found it very comfortable, cozy and charming. The bathroom was nice and the shower was large. We visited in May so slept with the windows open and it was heavenly!! So quiet and the air smelled delicious. The towels are definitely nicer and thicker than in a regular chain hotel. The breakfast is exactly as described, eggs, cheese, yogurt, toast, bagels pastries and plenty of fruit. They have also added a pancake machine. It was soooo nice not to have to run out first thing in the morning to get coffee and breakfast.the flowers around the house and in the back are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! But what stood out most of all was the staff!! Andrea and Tiffany are just terrific! There was a small issue on our arrival day (the house behind Cherokee had a gas problem) and they were briefly evacuated by the gas company. Andrea quickly arranged for us to be able to leave our luggage at a neighboring hotel until they were able to reopen. It all ended up being nothing but it was dealt with so quickly and professionally, we were so impressed. And Tiffany is a total pro. She is ;so responsive and even gave me her cell phone! And when I called to reserve she was the one who helped me pick the perfect room (my husband is tall). I saw a couple of reviews that mention staff not being onsite. Dont give it a thought! This is a great place to stay! Perfect location; close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants and the Del!!

First time on Coronado for a wedding. I travel a lot internationally and can say I loved this quaint homey place in a sweet quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk to main road, shops, and 15 to beach and hotel del Coronado. All perfect! Breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful, and quiet.
I would come here again…. And again!

We really loved the unique Cherokee Lodge! It's a converted huge house so no two rooms are exactly the same. Yet our room was plenty large and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had the king size bed and it was the best night sleep we had in quite a while. We did a lot of socializing over the Continental style breakfast in the morning, with yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, pastries or bagels. I enjoyed several cups of Keurig coffee. We love the location, and got to walk the neighborhood and look at the unique homes and gardens. The staff was great too, including looking for a flatter pillow for me, and refunding the money that we paid for a friend's room so they could pay their own way. We highly recommend visiting Coronado and staying at least a few days.

5 stars for what it is. Pictures and description on hotels.com matched up with what I got in person. Zero issues with anything.

We previously stayed at 1906 Lodge for a similar price, but Cherokee Lodge feels more like a backpacker’s stay. Staff are nearly unreachable—you must leave a voicemail and hope for a callback. One morning, we even found dog poo in the hallway, with no staff on-site to handle it. Breakfast was disappointing, with day-old boiled eggs, toast, packaged muffins, and banana bread. There are much better options in Coronado for the same price. Would not recommend the Cherokee Lodge.

Wow what a gem of a hotel. clean and comfortable. very well priced for closeness to beach [1/2 mile] and downtown [1/4 mile]. Stayed in room 12. downside was private bath was across the hall and hotel wifi was non existent [used hotspot on phone] will stay here again if room is available.

This little Inn has SOO much old world charm. Very clean and inviting. The staff is wonderful, helpful, totally 6 star if I could give it, and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept on. we held our small wedding party on their back patio, and everybody fell in love with the place. Its hard to call it a bed and breakfast, so I humorously refer to it as a Bed and Finger Food lodge. Because they keep a 24 hour stock of various yummy finger foods in several refrigerators for your snacking pleasure. If you are staying on Coronado Island, this should be your go-to to stay at.

Very cute and charming and in a great location. We're so happy we stayed here. The room was cozy and perfect for my husband and I. The staff was really friendly and accommodating to our needs the location is walking distance to the beach and the downtown shops and restaurants. When I visit Coronado Island again, this is where I'll be staying.

This lovingly decorated hostel can be found in a quiet side street on the small island of Coronado, which is part of San Diego. The individual furnishings of the rooms make you feel right at home. There is seating on the veranda and behind the house. Everything is clean. Restaurants and the beach are within walking distance. However, the included breakfast is something for late risers, as it is only prepared from around 8am.

This was an amazing stay. I was meeting my extended family for the first time in Coronado. They suggested this location. I booked an amazing room with all the amenities. Although I didn't spend much time in my room, when I did, it was wonderful. I slept like a log, walked everywhere, and all the shops and restaurants are very close by. The whole experience was safe, clean and quiet. I definitely recharged my inner batteries. Thank you so much for being ideal hosts.
