Gorgeous waterfront location, The hotel is older but well kept and remodeled. Food and Drinks were really good at the Bar and the main restaurant. The whole property is very nice I really enjoyed my stay.

A fine hotel in a great location with beautiful views. The pool is great and the service is excellent. The reason I am giving this a three star rating is because this place is a little dated and does not have a resort feel. Our room was fine and the balcony was nice. The walkway was right in front of the hotel, which was great for walking around the bay. I was hoping for a few more amenities and more of the luxury touches I expect from a resort.
Safety: There are no signs or other indication that you are coming into the hotel property, so I would just caution people to pay attention
Food and drinks: Great poolside bar and restaurant!

This place was so old money racist. I will NEVER return here again which is probably what they want. The whole island is very unwelcoming. I got treated badly from the time I walked in. The staff in the restaurant (mainly our server who was Hispanic) was a pleasure. This place wreaks of illuminati type bad vibes. The drive golf carts all over the place. It’s a weird place altogether. Old men on speed and soccer moms on Valium probably frequent this place. Never again. This post is based on my personal experience at this establishment.

Amazing location for this hotel! The room was spacious and clean, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The resort fee comes with great perks like access to tennis, pickleball, free gym classes, and bike rentals.
The only minor issue was that the room was out of body wash, but once I informed them, it was refilled within 5 minutes. The food was excellent, making it a great spot for corporate events. They also have a CVS vending machine and a small gift/snack shop near the front desk for convenience. Highly recommend!
Rooms: Comfortable rooms
Safety: 100%safe
Walkability: There are plenty of shops within half a mile, and you can enjoy a walk along the shore.

It was beautiful on the island. There were flamingos in the ponds. There was a nice pathway that you could run, walk or bike. The only thing I didn't like was that the Starbucks in the hotel closed by like noon. Overall, it was a very nice place.

My room had ants, ants, and more ants. The grounds and breakfast buffet are amazing. But the rooms are old, dingy, with a dirty carpet, smelly, and...yes...ANTS!

At almost $500 a night, I would have expected a much better experience. They were doing work in our area of the hotel, and no one at the front bothered to tell us on our way over to the room that we would have to go around the taped off area (lugging children and a big bag). The worst part of our (thankfully) one night stay was when a huge COCKROACH ran over my feet in the early morning while I was making coffee and climbed over my daughter’s bed. When I called the front desk about the issue, they sent someone to kill it with spray but offered no sincere apologies or form of compensation (not even to comp the $55 valet fee or breakfast or something). Will certainly not be staying there again and wouldn’t recommend.

You’re paying for the location. The room I was given, floors were stained and so was the furniture. It was so bad I had to leave, hotel was fully booked so I couldn’t move to another room. I was originally booked for 14 days. But called the front desk to cancel the rest of my nights.
The hotel is so outdated and needs a complete renovation.

Before I begin this review, I want to note that I realize the valet service is a separate entity from Marriott. However, because the service is contracted by Marriott and the charge on my credit card statement reads "Coronado Island Marriott", I would hope that the hotel would be concerned with my experience as a guest.
I attended a meeting at the Coronado Island Marriott at the end of July and valet parked my car. I arrived shortly before 10am and left just after 2pm. When checking out, there seemed to be some difficulties with the system and a supervisor was asked to help out. I was verbally told the charge would be $50 and they also wrote this on my ticket and handed it back to me. The daily maximum for valet is $55 as stated on their website. A few days later I noticed a charge from the Coronado Island Marriott for $187.20. I did not stay the night nor put any other charges on my card that day other than valet. I called the front desk and was transferred to the valet service. The manager was not available, but did call me back the next day. I explained the situation and he told me that they had a new system and he could look into it which might take some time. As an alternative, he suggested I could do a charge back on my card and that might be faster. I told him I would do the charge back. I disputed the $137.20 which was the amount exceeding the $50 I was told would be charged. I provided a statement, documentation of my annotated valet ticket as well as their parking fees stated on the website.
Marriott has since challenged the dispute and won. I am having difficulties obtaining whatever documentation they provided to my credit card company, but am incredibly frustrated that I am being incorrectly charged $187.20 for half a day of valet parking that should have never exceeded $55.
