Horrible bank, secretly charged all the money away from my savings in unknown monthly charges. Terrible over draft fees and just generally evil.

As a guy trying to run a business and not wanting ATM access due to security concerns for business accounts, I am getting tired of all branches being closed Saturday and after 4pm Monday-Friday. Guys, I need the branch open after I am done working. I guess it is time to move on.

Had a horrible experience at this bank. Attempted to open a business account. Was told I didn't have the necessary forms, but pointed out to them in their own materials that I in fact did have the necessary forms. Then I was told my forms needed to be notarized. Again, that's not what their own materials indicated. Finally, he finally said to me that I should probably go to the downtown San Diego branch. It could have been lack of experience or incompetence; it could have been no desire to put in the work at the end of they day; or it could have been the fact that he was working with an African American female in a predominantly white community. Whatever it was, it was unacceptable service in a banking institution, and they will not be handling my business affairs. Like he said, "Go downtown."

This review is for union bank in general. This was the branch I opened my account with when I was way too young to know any better. Union bank is a fracking vampiric leech, waiting to abuse and use you for your money and give you nothing in return. After 25 years of having much money in this bank, they never once offered me a good deal on a loan or credit card to thank me for my MANY years of business. Each year they had my money they were able to loan it out to other people and charge those people fees for the privilege of using my money. Union Bank paid me whopping dividends of .01 APY and nothing at all for checking. You would think the prison love would stop there, but au contraire monfraire, no it did not. They also charge 8 dollars a month for a checking account if a min. balance isn't held onto, and another 4 a month for savings, again if a minimum balance isn't held. Now all these years I had far more then these minimums, but when I finally am trying to get my money away from these whore-iffic thieving vampires, suddenly I'm being penalized if my balance drops too low. Charging people fees to access THEIR OWN MONEY....... only a souless bloodsucker could do that. But I digress, let's continue the carnage. In the past whenever I tried to transfer money between my Union Bank accounts, it was INSTANT, and money available immediately. Suddenly as soon as these souless leeches find out I am trying to move my money from Savings into Checking (Savings has a 6x per month withdraw limit), there are suddenly several-days-long waits to do so...... How convenient *church lady voice* When I finally get external accounts approved to transfer money to it takes much longer then the time they advertise it would. Long story short, do not, ever, give these souless vampires a single penny of yours, you will regret it. And to all horrible parents out there, who give ZERO financial advice to their children, who subsequently end up giving their money to a bank, trusting the words 'FDIC', may the fleas of 1,000 camels infest your nether regions. There is no reason these shameless institutions exist except that people tolerate them, and you absolutely should not. Phillips screwdriver you, Union Bank.

The office has a great feeling. They treat the customers like they have all day. I appreciate the customer service of the teller. She was great. I should've gotten her name.

Been with this bank since I was in high school, even when we lived elsewhere. Love the small town feeling.
