Olaf gave me a great deal on the 2005 Jaguar XK8 and made the purchase a stress free process. The car is in excellent condition and I am extremely happy with it.

My friend sent me here to look at cars. I have an old prius and wanted to trade it in for a newer Toyota car. Charlie was the guy I dealt with. He wasn't too friendly and even insulted my car that I have taken very good care of since 2005.
I work really hard as an independent massage therapist and didn't expect them to take my car in or anything, but I thought I should try.
But because Charlie was so judegmental and even a bit racist towards me, not knowing that I could pay for the car with cash.
I was given a good referral from a friend who had bought her car there and really talked them up.
I'm sorry, though, because the treatment I experienced made me turn away and take my cash elsewhere.

I was referred to Olaf by a friend who had bought two cars from him and he came very highly recommended and my experience with him reflected that. Olaf does not fit the trope of a used car salesman.. he’s incredibly genuine and informative. Not only was he just earnestly helpful but he also did me a massive favor. The car I intended to buy was sold over the weekend while I was out of town and by chance he had just gotten in the same model with less miles and in slightly better (it’s almost near perfect) condition. He honored the price he was going to sell the other one to me for so I’m incredibly grateful and very happy with my gorgeous 2013 BMW X3. Having no knowledge of buying a used car, he walked me through everything and it was a totally easy and seamless process. He also accepted a check which was very helpful. Thank you Olaf! Will send anyone looking to buy a used car in your direction.

We found Active Auto through a web search for a couple of models, both of which Olaf had on his lot with the rough year and mileage requirements we thought we might be able to manage at the upper end of my college-age daughter's budget. We had a great experience throughout, paid what we felt was a fair price for the vehicle and both Olaf and Charlie were great to work with through the test drive and paperwork process. We would use Active Auto again the next time we're in the market for a used car.

I've purchased two used cars in recent years from Olaf and his team and only ever had a positive experience.In both cases, negotiating a price was straightforward and I got both cars for reasonable market value. I always do extensive research, looking at KBB.com, Edmunds TMV, Nada and Carfax, and go in looking to make a purchase based on the actual local market value (Kelly always overestimates real values). Olaf knows exactly what is fair and immediately proposes a negotiated price that is right where it should be. It's an easy process.

I had the BEST experience at Active Auto Sales! I set up an appointment thru text with Charlie. He was incredibly honest and straight-forward, and made the entire process of buying a car incredibly easy. He answered our questions, we test drove the car, and he let us pay a $500 deposit to hold the car for 48 hours because the bank had closed, so I couldn't get the cash. He accepted a check the next day, which was also super helpful. The entire process from answering questions to completing the paperwork/payment was maybe an hour total. I got a great car for an incredibly reasonable price -- a 2012 Honda Accord with 80K miles for less than $15K before taxes and fees (this was after the salesperson at AutoNation Toyota in Hayward said I would never find what I was looking for unless I was willing to pay in the $20Ks). Thank you, Charlie!

I have purchased 3 very different cars from Active Auto Sales (Saab, Mini Cooper, and BMW) and had a great buying experience every time and kept each car for many years. Olaf is very knowledgeable and able to guide you through the car buying process, based on what you are looking for. I have also recommended them to numerous friends/family members and every person has been very satisfied with their experience.

I didn't know much about cars, however; when you need to learn you research and this is something that I'm really good at. After doing many days of research on cars that I thought would be reliable, I went car shopping. It's hard when you are under pressure. After going to every car dealer that I could find between San Rafael and Novato, I found this gem.Active staff Charlie was there to listen to what I was looking for and my range price. He was very patient and I was free to test drive and walk around without any pressure. Have you seeing a woman going shopping for clothes?!?! That was me shopping for cars.This is what I learned about this place: they were open to listen (Charlie and the owner); never pressured me; gave me freedom to ask questions and walk around; and took my concerns and questions into consideration.What I learned as I walked around and google all the cars that I would considered, this dealership had cars that had been ranked really well for the years and models on the lot. Other dealers including big ones - no need for names - had years for certain models that are to be avoided at all cost. This was the first dealer that I did not find any cars that were not reliable and safe.This is a must go dealership!!!!Thank you Active for making this a great experience . I'm really happy with my Subaru.
