I was disappointed in the staff. I was at an event here to see Isabelle Allende with my Mom yesterday and we thought she was as lovely as ever. The women working at the store felt annoyed to be attending to my very valid reasonable questions. They were short with their answers, and seem agitated to have to do their job. Even when I expressed disappointment I was told “I’m sorry… next!”(to the next customer in line). A little respect to buying customers would go a long way.

I am often there. If you stop by to have a coffee or tea and look at the books, you will enjoy yourself. This is a peaceful place in a very good and safe location. Total wine is close, and I like to check their wine selection. As a wine enthusiast, this place is ideal. New books, used books, kids books and coffee break, nothing better.A latte is healthy for you from what I learned. It has antioxidants, protein and calcium and it tastes delicious.

A true full service Bookstore with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It has a large section on Travel with guides and accessories like converter plugs and small bags. It offers also a small section of well-curated used Books. In addition, it features "meet the author" programs 2-3 times a month. A real gem!

Nice cozy atmosphere. Helpful staff. But, their sci-fi section was small.

Very helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, and efficient staff when it comes to finding a book and ordering. It's one of my favorite local book stores. Always enjoy the used book section. Café is a great spot, too!

In the world of online book sales, it is wonderful to still have the opportunity to browse books and attend events at Book Passages! I make it over from the East Bay as often as I can.

Okay, I’m not a bookworm. From a calendar, prices are quite a bit expensive. I bought it in my hour-long DMV wait. The cafe actually only has packaged snacks. I should have gone the other way to the town center.

Girrl, I drove across bridges, through tunnels, and over mountains to get to this place!!! But it was well worth it for Whitney Hanson’s book tour! After my exhausting journey across the Bay, I stopped into the coffee shop to grab more caffeine and the staff behind the counter were more than accommodating and welcoming. We chitted and chatted for a minute or two until my bladder got the best of me and they turned me towards the restroom, which just so happened to be in another building filled with more amazing books and trinkets!Once I finished my business I got to holiday shopping, the staff and I definitely found plenty of gifts to gift myself. I left with a whole bag of knick knacks, journals, and of course books! Then with my bag of trinkets and half drunken coffee I went to find my seating for the poetry reading! And wouldn’t you know! Front row was available! So I wiggled my way to that VIP section and got to see TikTok’s favorite poet! All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely come back!

When I walked in, this lady behind the counter looked at me unpleasantly and jumped out from her seat and said "Do you need any help?" uptight. I just said my husband and my daughter came here this morning so I am also checking out the store. After that, she stalked me a little even. I ordered Chai at their caffe and was waiting for my husband to come, and I saw that she's still looking at me! I could see from the reflection of windows. After that I could even that see she was talking something bad with another employee from her facial expressions. I felt very uncomfortable. I put 2 stars instead of 1 because my husband went to talk to the manager and she was very understanding and promised with him that she will talk to her which we hugely appreciated. My husband talked to the lady, but she was just being smug, just nodded annoyingly(my husband told me that.) - I think she will be forever racist whether someone talks to her or not - and it's no body's fault
