Most of the people working here don't seem to know what kindness means when it comes to customer service. They need customer service training. When you ask them for help, they reluctantly provide it, maybe they hate their job. Besides, they give information begrudgingly and it's often incorrect. I had to call Sacramento and they told me the information I was given here was wrong. They even mentioned the inefficiency at this DMV

I got behind the wheel test here and Sunnyvale. Definitely the best of the best DMV me and my husband ever been. People are nice, less customers, and clean. Thank you all the workers!

Layle is the rudest employee to work with. I came in with a DL renewal and had an appointment at 10am. No one was able to tell where they needed to go and what they needed to do because no one told us anything. I waited in line for 20min just to be told by a gentleman I needed to fill the application. I went and did that and waited another 20min. They gave me a number and waited 20 more minutes to be greeted very cold by Layle. I asked her how she was and how her day was and she ignored me and asked what I needed. I told her what I was there for and waited for a response while I gathered my documents. I asked her if she needed them and rudely asked “what are you here for??” and I told her “DL renewal I already said so”. She told me I couldn’t do it because of a piece of info that was completely irrelevant. She was raising her voice at me and bobbing her head. She needs anger management classes and to be retrained on how to work in a customer service environment, because her attitude and overall presence is not it. Its hard enough already dealing with how horrible the setup at DMV is…I don’t need an miserable older lady yelling about what she did and didn’t tell me and what I do and don’t have (when I brought what was needed). If she is that miserable she needs to find a different profession.

Nicole, the manager, was horrible. She treats men and women differently. I came to pay registration and had to jump through a few hoops. After each step, she made me go back in line and start over. No assistance whatsoever. While I was waiting, I observed her service for the next few hours and clearly she is helpful towards women and let them come back to her window after completing steps, but the men got attitude from her and she would quickly send them to the back of the line. Gender discrimination was very clear with her.Also, my issue was not resolved. I went to the Novato location a few days later and had much better treatment, and they helped me get my registration renewed.

This DMV runs like a well oiled machine. It was the quickest experience of my life. Staff was very friendly. Make sure you have all the items/paperwork required for your visit and it will be quick and painless. The later you go the longer the wait; however, you can make appointments online.

Great office. Workers go beyond to help you. Yes government agencies aren’t perfect but be patient. These folks can be helpful

Although clearly understaffed, the employees are helpful and patient. I overheard some very complicated stories that the staff needed to deal with, so that helps explain the wait time. And one guy was staffing 3 different windows - sliding back and forth to keep the lines moving.

Longest line, hours of waiting just to change a vehicle afdress [i had to leave because i have to work].... and yes I did try California's DMV online, just as much gabage... this is Gavin Newsom deteriorating California where nothing improves and everything gets worse, is slow, or has red tape.

The employees have so much patience. Though, things are not always smooth, for example a driver's test appointment is more than one month out.

Great service, lovely employees! I can quite honestly say that my cortisol levels decreased the moment I walked through the frosted doors. Calm atmosphere—what a difference from the San Francisco DMV! I feel no qualms about giving this quaint little abode a 5/5 stars, they deserve no less ???
