Will not be going to the Corte Madera location again. The staff was rude and unhelpful and were standing behind the counter talking while I was struggling to find what I needed. I was excited to get there before they closed and left disappointed.

During my recent visit to the Williams-Sonoma store in Corte Madera, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Ashley. She helped me exchange an item that I couldn't use. Ashley was attentive, took the time to listen to my concerns, and effectively resolved the issue by assisting me with the exchange. As a result, I purchased a new item that was twice the price of the original one—a win for the store as well!
In contrast to my previous visit, where the manager on shift was dismissive and didn't take the time to listen to me, Ashley's excellent customer service made a significant difference. I was initially hesitant to ask for help again, but I am grateful that I did, and even more grateful that Ashley was there to assist me.
Thank you, Ashley, for putting the customer first!

I received a gift of coffee pods for Christmas. Unfortunately the pods were not recognized by my machine and ended up breaking it. I had to buy a new machine for $600! I took all but 4 of the unused pods back to the store for a refund. I was told by the employee that food items are not eligible for refunds. If you sell a product that doesn’t work as advertised, then you take it back and give a refund. They technically owe me for a $600 new coffee maker, and I’m only asking for a credit for the item that doesn’t work. I’m so disappointed in their customer service. They have lost a customer for life.

Service at this store is rude and lacking. Not about delighting the customer

I've been a Williams Sonoma customer for a long time. I have never had a bad experience till now. Walked in to buy a quick gift. Found what I like and ready to purchase it. Was informed 1 item I picked up was a on table (not behind a display case...) and they can't sell it to me. They don't have any more in the store. Sales associate asks a person who seemed to be a manager. I questioned why i couldn't purchase the item and the 'manager' got snarky. Then 'graciously' allows me to purchase the item as she proceeds to talk behind my back with another customer. Seriously?? How about putting the customer first! It's a retail store with the intention of selling the items. Sell the item and if you need to, order one for the store display. Prioritizing the store display over a customer is crazy and suggests they don't value my business. The entire store is a display. How do you know what you can buy vs. just look at???

Today, I went to the store around 5 pm to pick up a few items. While browsing, an older woman at the register kindly offered to assist me, which was appreciated. As I was looking at knives, a man greeted me in a somewhat abrupt manner, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. Despite my friendly wave, he quickly backed off. It’s frustrating when I can’t even browse in peace without interruptions. Additionally, I could hear what sounded like a baby or a dog in the back of the store, which seemed odd. Then, another enthusiastic staff member made a strange comment while I waited for my purchases to be scanned. Overall, I found the staff’s behavior to be odd and unprofessional. While it’s good to have assistance available when needed, constant interruptions detract from the shopping experience.

I'm surprised by how different the employees of this store are compared to most locations. When one of the employees made a mistake with an order (charging me for individual silverware vs. the set), their managers were particularly rude and unhelpful when I sought a resolution. Going forward, even if I want to see items in-store, I'll never plan to order through them directly (just go online) as the online support is far superior to whomever they were able to hire as a manager.

I like the products for what they remind me of. It expanded the time dimension for the 3D objects.

Larger store than some W-S locations. Friendly, helpful staff.
