I called Anthony's Shoe repair because I desperately needed to save a pair of leather boots I've been wearing for years. They have sentimental value for me as they got me through walking all of London when I lived there, and they fit my feet really well. I've yet to find another pair that is the exact style and fit that I need, so I wasn't willing to give them up when my new rabbit decided to chew right through them! My fault, I accidentally left my closet open! They told me to bring it down and that they fix shoes with missing leather all the time. 4 weeks later, I could barely tell where the repair was until I looked super close up! Excellent job! I really thought there is no way this can be fixed to look normal, but they worked their magic and also gave me new laces. Service was friendly, price was fair, and I'm super thankful I can wear them again!

This establishment ruined my brand new Christian Louboutin due to his mistake in measuring a strap that needed a slight shortening to avoid extra hanging so sloppy and I have a skinny leg so it looked sloppy… I was willing to return of it was going to look weird or cheaply done and he assured me it was a very simple alteration….. he did make it too tight by cutting too much and making too many holes… I even have the extra that was given to me. When I went to pick up he said oh oh well go wear it and come back so if it’s too tight we can stretch a bit.. I’m here he claims… not going anywhere! I wore for the first time to dinner in Las Vegas and it was way too tight on the biggest hole and if I go tighter it will not allow me to walk!! Came back to home and he is being very sarcastic and saying he needs to cut the bucket and add elastic !!! What?? These are not Steve Madden shoes! He says that is all he can do to fix his mistake that I was asking to redo and custom make the entire shoe!! Very rude in front of other customers he is being sarcastic and ignorant without acknowledging his mistake or even apologizing!! Asking when did I get them done and why it took to long to wear them!! Then he says he will not pay for shoes he ruined or pay me back for the mistake he made when all I said is that I don’t want elastic in my shoes !! I could have just returned them to Saks fifth and called it a day instead of him ruining them and me losing $1k. I told him since he is not cooperative that I will take him to small claims… which I plan on it. I have witnesses and proof.

I got a preloved Chanel wallet and the interior had a rip in the coin pocket so I brought it in and turns out the wear was worse than expected. The rip was actually the lining coming off completely as well so Greg said they would need to reline it and could do it in a week. The price was a bit more than I expected, but I also just went in thinking it was a rip so just a bit of sticker shock. But I left the wallet with them and came back a week later and she is PERFECT! You def pay for good work! I have a few other fixes I need to get done so I'll be back!

0 STARS Extremely disappointed by the way that Mike was acting towards customers and their belongings today. I was in the store and not only witnessed Mike being extremely condescending to a client but then he continued to talk and laugh about her once she was walking out of the store. It's not really a good sign when you're trying to get your items repaired and witness such disheartening treatment. I would hope he would take into consideration how unprofessional it is to do such a thing especially when other clients are witnessing the disrespect. Definitely won't be coming back or putting myself in a position to be treated in such a way or be involved with such a business . I definitely will not referring anyone else here nor will I ever come back .

The sincere regrets when I take advice from my local Designer department store Notdstrom and head over to shorten a Christian Louboutin sandals that needed a hole added to make ankle strap tighter and then make the excessive strap after fastening a little shorter which is easily done as both the Designer shoe sales person said and so did the owner of this shoe repair store as he quoted easy little task... I left it and went back to pick up 2 months ago and when I tried it on it was was too short so he created way so many holes and way too short of a strap... when I saw the extra piece he saved to show me I knew it seemed a bit too much extra but he is the expert right! I try it on and he says oh oh well wear it and if I need to stretch the strap a bit with heat I will... go wear it and we will see! I did for the first time in Vegas for New Years and I couldn't even buckle or take off properly for the strap at the very largest hole is the only one that fits properly for me to walk. I go in today to see if the stretching could be done when he says he wants to add elastic to strap and that is the only option and that it was somehow my fault for his mistake in measuring !! What ??! Not even an apology !! Then he is being sarcastic and rude instead of owning the mistake... I am getting blamed, humiliated and full of regrets that I could trust an old shoe repair man that repairs old shoes could be trusted with brand new $1k shoes! I will be taking him to small claims just to teach this business a lesson that this is not how a business should be able to do business on Oramge county. I also will be reporting to all the department shoe stores and designer stores just to avoid this! I will also be reporting to the BBB! I don't want my shoes to have elastic cheaply sewn by him in which he was incapable to take simple measurements and do his easy so called job correctly the first time.... No let's patch up these nice designer shoes to fix his mistake claiming they don't make shoes correctly in Italy ! When I told him the day I walked in the first time that if it can't be done.... Or if it will look off.... I will just return them to store.... He says No No No!! This is easy I do this all the time!! I should have read thee yelp reviews before I went as you see they all are not his fault lol!!! He comes back with an arrogant response attacking the customer claiming he is experienced and the customer is the aggressor ! Very unprofessional sir.

I needed new soles in a hurry and they came through in the clutch. Not cheap, but really good work and nice folks.

10/10! Got a brand new pair of black western boots for my birthday. A few days later my frenchie thought they were a snack! Brought them into Anthony's thinking we'd have to stick a big ole toe tip on them! They blew me away by making them look brand new with no tips! And we're so very kind! Not bad for pricing either.

I used to work at Nordstrom and Anthony's is where we always referred our customers to. I didn't realize that all of the locations are owned by different owners. I took my mom's 33-year-old Chanel backpack here that she used as her diaper bag when I was born. I brought it here to get refinished and I was super hesitant since it is lambkin and very delicate and a super soft material. The texture of the bag is completely destroyed. It is extremely rough and dragging and feels as though it was spray-painted. When I picked it up I literally cried because of how upset I am that this special that has so much meaning has completely been altered in a irreversible way.I'm sure this guy does good work on other things but if you have extremely expensive and valuable bags I recommend bringing them elsewhere

Always great. They repaired my Ralph Lauren crochet espadrille and cannot even see where the hole and pulled fabric was. Excellent materials for sole replacement. Very effective glueing of soles etc

Brought my beat up, scuffed up short booties here after the sole wore out. He put a new sole on and made these shoes look BRAND NEW. He's not cheap but it's a high quality shoe sole and I won't have to buy new shoes

The purse they repaired looks like it a brand new purse. Great job. And because it was not finished when I went to pick it up they delivered it to my house.

Baseball gloves, new soles, dyeing. I don't go anywhere else. Michael runs his business like a hometown service. The price works in my budget. It's nice to know who is behind the counter

Anthony's on 17th in Costa Mesa is without question the most skillful shoe repair I've ever been to. They restored a bag I got in Italy that had a bad stain on the exterior - it looks good as new. They have resoled several pairs of shoes that were tired and worn out that now look like new (I hate buying new shoes I have to break in and it's far better to spend some $ to refresh old ones that feel good!). They are professional cobblers - a skill that's hard to find.

Extremely unprofessional all around. Maybe they were having a bad day but that's still no excuse. I'll be looking to put my money elsewhere.
