Wow - whet to return four plates for store credit (Marin pattern they are still open stock). They were brand new, tag still on them, wrapped in their paper, in their bag - I had lost the receip and they could not look up the transaction, as my credit card had been compromised and replaced.I was going to purchase 24 alternative plates, but they wouldn't give me credit for the four that I was returning.For clarity, I called after leaving, spoke with Jeremy and the manager-there was no offer to accomodate my return request.This is not acknowledged in the vendor's response.I will never do business there again.

I visited this Crate and Barrel a couple weeks ago and my terrible interaction with a store employee still bothers me today, so much so that I decided to write my very first google review.A few days before my visit, I found a product I wanted online and saw it was in stock at this location. After strolling South Coast for a few hours (and sadly then getting a headache), I finally made it to C&B. I walked around the store looking for my item I found online, but given my headache, I gave up and found the nearest store employee.This employee (female, short black hair, tanned asian) was ringing up another customer, so I waited in line behind her with my friend. The employee was very friendly to this customer. When she was done, we walked up and she did not even acknowledge us. Where did her friendliness go?? Wordlessly, she grabbed what my friend was holding and then scanned it. We weren’t planning on buying that, but rather was using it to ask her a question on the product I wanted. Since I was in pain, my friend handled the talking and clarified we were just looking for a smaller version of this product. This employee said (without even checking the computer) it’s out of stock. Then she walked away. ?????Due to my headache, I just wanted to leave, so I didn’t fight it and inform her it says it’s in stock online. But why was she so rude?? All we did was stand in line quietly! We later checked whether the store was about to close to see if maybe that’s why she was in such a rush, but nope! They close 2 hrs after we were there!Never going back to this Crate and Barrel. Be warned!

Extremely rude, racist, prejudiced and condescending store associate made me feel judged and like I didn't belong. First, she snatches the item from me, without greeting or acknowledging me, to ring it up. Then I ask her a single question about a similar item being in in stock, she said no in such a callous tone, didn't offer to check (the item is very much in stock per the website for this location), and walked away from us! I asked politely, is it so much to ask for a respectful interaction in return?Was it because she (female, black short hair, dark skin tone), wasn't going to make a sale that she was so rude? I would've bought it if she had helped me since it was in the store! She couldn't lift a finger to help her customers. Her condescension and prejudice is unacceptable given she can't even show a modicum of decency to frequent customers. She actually made the store, Crate and Barrel, lose a sale. And now she will make them lose many more sales because I can't see myself supporting this store.After reporting to customer service via chat, they failed to follow up and denied the reporting happening. They did not follow up either despite saying they would.Worst service ever. Won't be back. Racist and pretentious.

Not good customer service at this location, their not really helpful and also the floor managers are the worst, I think one of them is Michael with attitude, a little rude and not helpful at all. Better to order online than coming to this store

Awful retail return policy and customer service I have experienced. Tried to return an unwanted holiday gift without a gift receipt expecting store credit at selling price which would be the norm. I was adamantly told by an associate then the store manager Michael that the store policy won’t allow any type of return or exchange or store credit without a receipt or packing slip. I tell him I don’t recall seeing a packing slip in the shipping box which was thrown out. When I ask how I can file a complaint, he tells me to call customer service? When I ask him if the item rings up in the register, it does. I ended up “donating” the item to the store. What type of reputable retailer has this policy? And no where in the register or in print is this policy stated. Demoralizing and demeaning to the brand that I used to like for the past 25 years.

This review is to thank Sheila who helped me with my refund after an extremely rude sales lady by the name of Linda pretty much refused to help me. I brought in two boxes that had been shipped to me. One was a completely sealed unopened box straight from crate and barrel that I knew I had to return because I didn’t order the correct size. She opens the box and says sorry I can’t refund you unless you have a receipt so I was like well that’s not my fault there isn’t a receipt or packing slip inside a box that came directly shipped from your company. She continued to argue with me saying she can’t do anything unless I had a receipt. Anyway, smiling Sheila comes along and takes care of it in less than 5 minutes. Looks up my order by email and voila!Linda I just wanted to let you know how rude you were!

Like all Crate & Barrels this location is stacked full of all of the stuff you would expect from this retail giant. This location has two floors. Thus, the various departments are nicely separated and the store is easy to navigate. One of the best things about this location is that it is very open and airy. Whether you were visiting during the day, where natural light easily flows in, or at night, where you can look out onto the nighttime horizon, shopping at the store is always a great experience.The staff here is very helpful. They are happy to guide you towards whatever purchase you are seeking to make. They, of course, have all the answers to all the questions.Overall, if you're looking for what Crate & Barrel has to offer, this is one of the best locations in the SoCal area to go and purchase those items.
