Excellent polite professional expert work on my LandCruiser I highly recommend Hiro Auto Repair they are an extremely well run enterprise. They do top notch work for fair and reasonable prices delivered on time. Hiro diagnosed and repaired items that the dealer could not.

I took my Mazda for service and brakes, and both Dai and Hide were pleasant to work with. Car was taken care of as promised, on budget, and on time. I would certainly go back again.

I cannot for the life of me able to reach anyone at this shop. Tried calling them several times throughout the week with no one answering nor able to leave a voice message.

I have been servicing my car here since 1990. I was referred here by the number one Toyota salesman in the nation at the time, Micheal Rice (RIP). He explained to me that Hiro's provided outstanding auto service at a fair price by top-notch experts. I can attest to that. I've had a block bored, a transmission installed, and I hang onto my cars for way longer. I would never buy a car that they don't service. I have faith and trust in everything they do.

Don't recommend going here to ANYONE. I've never had a bad mechanic before but Dai ripped me off 3k, telling me it would cost another 10k "to make it run nice". I have owned my classic toyota for 20 years and would never bring it to this shop again for any reason. Broke down the day after getting it back from this shop. Never broke down once for the two decades I've owned it.

This was our first experience. Took our 2006 4Runner there based on excellent reviews. They did an engine oil change and replaced the differential and transmission oil at a reasonable price. They also diagnosed a leaking rack and pinion that needed replacement at a cost of $1,680 and also mentioned what sounded to them like a bad wheel bearing during the test drive, but did not specify which one other than to say it would cost $724 if it was a front bearing or $825 if it was a rear bearing. They also said the rear brakes were at 20% and recommended replacement at a cost of $300. I had my son take it to Santa Margarita Toyota for leaking power steering fluid and to have them replace the rear brakes (had coupon for $250) based on Hiro’s findings. Toyota said the rear brakes shad more than 20% life and did not recommend replacing at this time. As for the leaking power steering fluid, they diagnosed a bad power steering pressure hose and not the rack and pinion. And the wheel bearing noise? They detected noise coming from the differential (which Hiro’s had just worked on). Hmm. Now what to do? Who’s right? Well, my son took it back to our trusted Toyota specialist in the Inland Empire (an hour away) and he confirmed a bad power steering hose and replaced it. He also corroborated noise coming from the differential and found no issues with any wheel bearings. In summary, Hiro’s diagnosed the wrong problems: bad wheel bearing, bad rack and pinion which would have cost about $2,500 to repair. The Toyota dealer and Toyota specialist were in agreement and diagnosed a bad power steering hose and failing differential. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Hiro’s.

I have been taking our cars to Hiro's since 1993. I initially found them when I was having problems with my 1990 Miata's clutch. Another mechanic wanted to replace the entire clutch for $1500. Hiro's said it was simply a master cylinder rebuild for less than $100. From then on, I only take our Japanese cars to Hiro's. They are fairly priced for very high quality work. Although they only work by appointment, we've had some "emergencies" when they graciously squeezed us in.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I'm very glad I found Hiro's Auto Repair. I worked with Hide and he stopped an oil leak on my car and also helped to identify other issues. He kept me informed every step of the way and checked with me first before performing the service. Very honest and a job well done. I normally do my own work because no one will care for your car the way you do... It's good to know there's a place that might care for your car even better! Thank you, Hide.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Reliable auto repair shop. I never have to worry that they are taking advantage of me with their pricing and their work is top notch. Side note: I brought my car in due to rear bumper damage and got it back looking brand new - not only on the outside (where the work was completed) but on the inside as well. Cleaned and attended to with attention to detail.

Hiro is the most honest, reliable, skilled mechanic I've ever used. You have a Lexus? He's your man. Period. End of story.

This place is great. They only charged me $67 to grease my clutch fork when another shop said that it would cost $2,000 to replace the whole manual transmission. I feel they are honest and knowledgeable about cars, Japanese cars in particular.Service: Auto maintenance

A nearby shop wanted $2,000 to replace my manual transmission but Hiro told me the clutch fork just needed to be greased. Total repair cost: $67. I feel that this shop is honest. I also like that they seem to know a lot about Japanese cars.

My family has been taking all our cars to Hiro's for repair for several years now. We first heard about Hiro's through a friend's recommendation and now I always recommend their services to others looking for a reliable Japanese auto repair shop. They are honest, friendly and do amazing quality work (a combination of qualities hard to find these days). Highly recommended.
