About Orange County Model Engineers
Orange County Model Engineers is a club that has been operating for over 30 years. It is great for families with small children, young kids, or anyone who enjoys trains and is young at heart. The club offers free train rides to the public one weekend a month, with donations requested. The ride lasts about 15 minutes, navigating two train tracks and offering beautiful scenery on a sunny California day. Passengers can observe wildflowers and all kinds of wildlife from the train. The line is typically fast, with multiple trains available, and the train is slow and very safe. The place is mostly volunteer-run, and all the volunteers are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is plenty of free parking, clean restrooms, and food vendors on site. Many people enjoy bringing a picnic lunch. The club also books private parties and has special events throughout the year. It is a highly recommended family activity for all ages where you can be in and out in less than an hour.

Working here with my friends is amazing and I recommend be a member if you love trains. If your planning on coming for a Public Run Day, come after 12pm because the crowd is small.
