If I could rate the pharmacy zero stars I would, Andrew the pharmacist/ head of discrimination for the whole Ralph’s pharmacy on 17th, apparently picks and chooses the customers he helps based on their gender. He will continue to serve my wife but not me, based upon gender alone. Andrew also is making his own rules/policies and picks and chooses what “type” of medications he will approve to refill, he will ignore orders sent in from licensed Drs as he sees fit. It is for this reason I highly advise any and all people stay away, or just go to CVS as they do not DISCRIMINATE!

The pharmacy doesn't care about you. They are rude and customer has no value to them.

They are great at letting you know a prescription is ready to order. When you do order they are just as prompt letting you know it's ready. I kept forgetting and they were very good at reminding me.

Called to ask if they had a prescription I started taking in stock and they hung up on me. Also had a few other questions but I didn’t get to ask because…they hung up on me. No medical affiliated facility should ever hang up on a patient, my questions were important and I needed to speak with a pharmacist. Shame on you Ralph’s.

Worst customer service experience in my 42 years of life with Dao the pharmacist. I had a prescription transferred from my Walgreens to this Ralph's to save money. I took an Uber to pick it up and was told by Dao they have no record of my prescription. Keep in mind this is a psychiatric med and I need to take it everyday. When I became confused and started asking why they don't have my prescription I was told they had no record. I then produced the voicemail from Ralph's saying they had my prescription ready for pickup. Suddenly the story changed and Dao blamed me "you didn't pick it up in time", she said. Dao then told me "I wasn't working that day, but it's been put back on the shelf". Ok then I asked "please take it off the shelf and let me have my script". Dao told me it would be 2-3 hours. The story changed 3 times then I was told I'd have to wait at least 2 hours and that possibly my doctor would need to be called? The story changed three times and there was a confusing ending where I would have to wait 2 hours to then be told my doctor wasn't available. My doctor is off at 4pm. This took place at 6:30 pm so that wasn't a possibility. When I said this, I was then told I wouldn't be able to get my prescription. Wait?' Why does this story keep changing? And now it's not 2-3 hours but possibly days? It made absolutely no sense. This is when I lost my temper. I was not aggressive but I was upset and used the F word. I apologize for that but feel in my situation I had every right to be furious. The manger was nice and apologized but told me there was nothing they can do. "They can't just hand out meds" the manager explained. That's when I got very upset and called some names out as I left this Ralph's for the last time. Hand out meds?! I am sorry but please check your records and you will see how insulting that comment was. I think maybe they thought I was homeless because I had a large bag with me? I don't understand but I have called corporate and this is being looked into. I was not perfect in this situation but considering how I was treated I think I did an amazing job of not losing it. I have a mental illness and take meds for it. The meds as I previously mentioned were transferred to your pharmacy. My pharmacist confirmed and I have the electronic record. Thank you Lord for my Walgreens pharmacist for giving me one days worth of meds while they contact my doctor for another prescription. Today should not have been so awful and there should have been some compassion from Dao. If this is a pattern then maybe working with customers isn't best for her. Some people are best suited for it and especially in such a fragile position dealing with sick people all day. There was never an apology or an effort to make things right. Dao only wanted to pass blame and get me out of the way to help the customer behind me in line. Nobody should have to go through what I am going through tonight waiting for my meds to kick in. Mental illness is real and it is a disease. I feel like speaking to a lawyer and might make some calls tomorrow. This really isn't sitting right with me and I'm curious to see what corporate says as well as my therapist and psychiatrist. Hopefully they have a lawyer who specializes in mental health and will write some letters and take on Ralph's until they make this right. ** after speaking with my therapist and pharmacist I have made one huge discovery. Pharmacies hold your prescription for one year. So if you don't pick it up or even cancel it, the same prescription will be on record and can be filled. And no reason why it shouldn't be done in typical waiting time 20-30 minutes. I believe I was lied to in regards to the extensive wait. This is shocking to me and I am pacing around my house wondering how this happened. How my prescription was transferred to Ralph's, confirmed by the transferring pharmacy and my voicemail record and then I'm told they ha

I can't say enough good things about Ralph's Pharmacy in Costa Mesa. I worked in a pharmacy before college. It was a neighborhood pharmacy and people were treated like they were friends. This is the way I feel about this pharmacy. They have gone out of their way several times to make things right between my prescriptions and my doctors. Everyone is friendly and smiling. I literally live less than 1/2 mile from a CVS and I drive across the city to go to Ralphs. The CVS is disorganized, grumpy and sometimes downright rude. I'm happy to support a business that treats you like a real person, especially when it comes to something so confusing (insurance, medicare, GoodRx, etc) as prescription medication.

RAW MEAT! RAW MEAT! RAW MEAT! RAW MEAT! Apparently these people who prepare "ready to eat foods" such as fried, baked or rotisserie chicken, baby back ribs, or meatloaf. These foods have CONSISTENTLY been prepared under the standard cooking temperature such as 165 degrees for poultry and 155 for red meats. They were cold and gooey inside. Looked great on the outside. Just shows that their cooks don't care about standard procedures such as a meat thermometer. Don't trust this specific store food or produce. They have no standard operating procedures. Even when I went to return my items, the had a hard time locating a "manager on duty" who ended up having to be trained on just returning items purchases minutes earlier with a receipt. Poor training means poor product. And poor product when it comes to food, kills people. Joke management. Joke production. Joke location. Anyone near this location would be much better off going to the 17th and Newport location. Avoid salmonella, food poisoning, and any other well know food born illnesses due to lack of care.

I wish they would prevent aggressive pan handlers from approaching people at the entrance and the outdoor pharmacy window.
