This place is a little older than most hotels. But I do enjoy the layout of the hotel and amenities. You get a lot more space than your typical hotel. There's a good gym with a water refilling station. Breakfast was surprisingly good. The eggs were still liquid eggs. But they cooked them well so they weren't thick sponges. TVs weren't working the first night, but they refunded it. Great service and convenient location.

Room was dirty when we got in. Staff wasn’t really pleasant. Breakfast says it ends at 10 am but they clean it up at 9 am.

Villa style lodging makes for quiet rooms. A few food options in walking distance, just not a lot of variety.
Food and drinks: Decent breakfast, just wish the scrambled eggs were consistently cooked day to day.

BE AWARE of Shady Booking Tactics by this place. I booked my reservation a month in advance through Expedia for the Penthouse room. Upon arrival to check-in, the front desk agent asked for my last name then immediately told me they were overbooked and had no rooms... I did not receive any cancellation notification from Expedia or Marriott, instead I told them I received a check-in email from Marriott a day before. Agent still blamed Expedia and said any bookings through a third party they are not responsible for. I was very upset as I have my entire family here ready for a vacation. Agent informed me that I had to call Expedia and basically figure this out on my own. While I was on the phone with Expedia in the lobby, the front desk agent later came to me and said he went over todays reservations and now have the original room available for us. He claimed someone canceled that day and he denied another person to upgrade to our room. HOWEVER, he won't be able to honor my Expedia reservation and I had to book directly through them at a higher rate. I thought this was ridiculous as the room I booked for is available. I also didn't understand how someone was able to upgrade to the room I had reserved for. I get the feeling that they prioritize Marriott members over third party bookings then puts the blame on them. At this point I was very frustrated, I had to call Expedia to cancel then book directly with them at a higher cost. The agent apologized for all this and offered to waive the parking fees. However, when I received the check-out invoice two days later I was charged for parking. I had to tell them at check-out that it should've been waived and the lady was nice and waived it. I find this whole situation very suspicious and a shady buisness tactic and just started our vacation on a bad note.
ROOM REVIEW of the Penthouse. All the body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. We had to ask for soap and was only given body soap. The beds are very soft. The sofa bed was just laying on springs, probably the worst i've experienced. I liked the floor plan.
AMENITIES REVIEW. The free breakfast was good. We used the pool and hot tub but on the second day while we were in the pool a kid had pooped in there.
Overall, we liked our stay but the reservation fiasco was a negative experience!

Great location and value. Our Room and amenities were well maintained and clean. They always had someone cleaning the pool first thing in the AM. Staff were all really friendly and always helpful.

Rooms: The room was way to expensive for what we got. There was no shampoo, body wash or conditioner in bathtub, toilet was plugged up and the blanket in closet was wadded up and did not look clean.

Great place to stay. 7 minutes walk to visit my mom. Great typical free breakfasts. Do it yourself waffles. Scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, yogurts cereal, milk, and more.
Full kitchens are so nice.
Walkability: Incan walk to visit my mom.
Food and drinks: Love the breakfast. Make sure you get there during breakfast hours which are different during the weekend than the week days.

Shout out to Efrain Vargas at the front desk for Amazing customer services skills! I worked at a 5 diamond resort for decades and wish I had 100 Efrain’s to work with. Such a pleasure interacting with him either via phone or in person. His upbeat personality and attention to detail truly made me feel like I was VIP all the way.
I rarely write reviews but felt these ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ where truly earned. I hope every guest gets the chance to meet him!

The rooms are spacious and come with a well-equipped kitchen, making them suitable for long-term stays.
Breakfast included waffles and white rice.
When I stayed there, the hotel staff provided a free shuttle service if I was nearby.
The female owner is Japanese, and the hotel has a homely atmosphere that is familiar to Japanese people.

I had such a great stay at the Residence Inn. The staff are incredibly hard working and kind. The rooms are clean and have kitchens with everything you need. I enjoyed spending my time at the pool or outdoor seating area. Would highly recommend!
