I don't use them for savings, but as a checking account SDCCU are the best of the best.. has never let me down. Honestly would've been screwed in many situations if I hadn't had an account here. Great customer service from Perry

Service in most of their South OC locations is sub par (Mission Viejo/Laguna Niguel). I prefer to drive all the way to Costa Mesa to have decent service. I have been a member for at least 25 years. Where SDCCU is failing is the technological restrictions such as no allowing a direct Zelle connection directly from your account, this means you can't pay through Zelle directly using your account. What is even worse, is that is not compatible for Experian boost which allows you to boost your credit score by linking your Experian account to your bank account, SDCCU does not allow this linking so all of your history of paying utilities is NOT possible making it one of the very few credit unions not able to accommodate your credit boost. So disturbing!

I wish I can leave 0 star reviews. Ive had a couple auto loans and this by far is the worst Credit Union/Bank that holds my loan. The worst people. The worst customer service. Just price gougers. I would never recommend them to my friends or family. Hopefully i get out of this loan soon and go to a credible non gouging bank. I wish i can leave negative star review.

I’ve held an account here since 2017 and financed my first car though them. Rosa was always the best employee and was so helpful I loved working with her. As far as everyone else at this branch and call center they totally suck and are super unhelpful. Simple things like changing my address has been a pain. Waiting for changes on my account due to security reasons only to call back myself weeks later and see that nothing changed on my account. Taking off work to receive a call backs only to not have anyone call me back and more. Today I cancelled my account after 3 weeks and 5 phone calls, I would never recommend this Credit Union to anyone.

VERY HANDY ! Being long time San Diego residents we always had a San Diego County Credit Union location not far from home. Now that we live in Irvine they are few and far between. We stopped by this Costa Mesa branch this morning to deposit a tax refund cheque. NO PROBLEM ! NOTE - Of course with over 22 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics in 2022 I can tell you what is great !

Omg..we opened an account here for our LLC and it's been nothing but a horrible experience...Gino was the one that helped us. He failed to inform us that if we didn't keep a min. balance and perform 5 transactions per month we would be charged an $8 fee. He then proceeds to tell us that if we were to do it for the month, his manager said they'll reverse the charges since we weren't informed...come to find out later they claimed they couldn't do this..so they offered free business checks..I told Gino we already ordered elsewhere..he said he'll get back to us on possible other options...after awhile of no communication, I decided to call him back..he then said the other alternative was something like a mug or whatever..so I said out of the 2 options, I guess I'll choose checks...he called later to say the checks were ready for us to pick up..then today, I decided to check our account..guess what? They took out 71.xx for the checks that were supposed to be for "free" in lieu of them not informing us of the requirements to get the monthly $8 fee waived...So thus far, we've lost about 90 bucks from their incompetence...business owners: don't bank here.

Useless.Even when I used this Credit Union in San Diego.They have been singlehandedly the biggest threat to my financial stability by false fraud alerts that don't even report to the slow and unstable app. After locking out my card for a monthly subscription they suddenly found suspicious, I can't even unlock the card, it must be replaced at a branch that is not open outside of my working hours for a MISTAKE THEY CAUSED.9-5 M-F. They are open. Close at 2 on Saturday. Given up on Sunday.

Every-time my mother and I come to SDCCU, we are greeted by first name coupled with excellent customer service. They take care of all our banking needs with the upmost attention. They assisted my mom with setting up her business account, Cynthia and her team are excellent. We feel as if we are part of their family. We would recommend this branch to everyone, their service exceeds expectations, and their attention is unparalleled!

Great bank, i really want to give a shout out to the Teller Adrian Casterano he's been very nice and over the top with his work, you can definitely tell he loves talking to people and goes out of his way to see how your doing, definitely good guy..... thanks a million to Adrian he deserves a raise!

I'm so disappointed in this credit union. I was hoping to find a good financial institution but I regret coming here and am planning to close my accounts and shift everything back to Wells Fargo (what does that tell you?). I'm so sick of SDCCU's fees. $5 to replace a debit card - which they don't disclose when you block your card online. It's buried in their "fees" which is hard to find. They also charge other fees that are higher for example overdraft is $32 at SDCCU - at Wells Fargo $29. I thought credit unions were supposed to help their members mitigate fees??? Customer service is also TERRIBLE at SDCCU including their online help. I complained to them and even posted on FB and got no response. And GOOD LUCK trying to reach anyone on the phone there! They have ONE toll free number that goes into a bIg black hole. I've called it several times and was never able to talk to someone. And YOU CANNOT CALL A BRANCH DIRECTLY - I've never been able to find branch numbers publicly for example on Yelp. Truly annoying. My experience with SDCCU has been awful and disappointing. My advice is find a better credit union or bank.

I've been a member with SDCCU for more than 20 years. 5 years ago I moved to OC. Unfortunately the branches are limited in OC though most of my banking is done by mobile. Recently they changed their on line banking format and made me change my password! I have now been locked out of my account which normally would be no big deal. You just answer your security questions and change your password. Unfortunately none of this has worked so I picked up my phone to contact a representative. I have been on hold every day for 2 weeks now for more than an hour. They will not answer calls. As soon as I can switch all my auto deduct accounts from this bank I will close it. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL.

Worst bank ever! Their online banking is a joke. Super complicated and a hassle. I'm forced to do everything over the phone which sucks because the hold time is extremely long. Today I was on hold for 19 minutes. Unacceptable! Bank somewhere else. I wish I could but my car loan is through here
