Friendly guys. Small operation so they are very flexible and helpful. They have small trucks and vans for moving stuff that wont fit in your sports car.

The check in was easy. Gave me all the info I needed and didn't try to update me. My return was fast, honest and easy. The staff I felt with was outstanding.

Came here looking for a hitch installation. Manager ordered the wrong one, and wasn't willing to work with me by finding a resolution. I own a newer car that's recently been redesigned. Finding a compatible hitch was as easy as 1 google search. Instead he made sure I was aware he paid for priority shipping for the hitch, and that $50ish was lost. He then advised me to be responsible to order the correct hitch, and they would be willing to install for a hefty fee of course. Mistakes can happen, but the manager never took ownership for HIS mistake. For hitch installations I'd recommend you go to Taylor's in Costa Mesa!

I had a great experience here. The staff were friendly and actually really funny. Check in and check out was a breeze. The 10' box truck I rented was flawless. Will definitely go back here again.

This is my first time ever writing a review for anything. Horrible customer service. Sent me to another location to rent a van and it was closed. Called back to explain the situation, decided to be very rude about it. Slammed the phone and hung up to send me to an automated message that wasn't very helpful. Employee was a mid-aged woman.

Wow looks like this location needs some major help as so many seems to all have the same similar gawd awful experience. On pulling in there was no parking except 1 spot at the far end by the street with several men are harassing people to take them for work or whatever else. This was not at all a comfortable to walk next to and clearly the store was not worried about making these men move so others did not have to feel uncomfortable visiting this location either. So I pulled right up to the front since I was only going to be 5 minutes to the only spot a handicap spot by the door. The assistant mgr John Mcreary Assistant Manager with absolute horrible customer service attacked me for stopping in this spot when no one else was even there and I was only stopping for a few minutes and would move if a handicap person came. He then continued with his harassing belligerent attack that he was going to call the cops. Yet no one can call the cops to the men at the front of the uhaul lot to make them move so your customers don't have to feel uncomfortable or get harassed by these guys? So I then move my car into the only other spot that was on the side next to other cars and he then proceeded to go off on me once again that this spot was not ok either. At this point I yelled back at him to shut the f@#* up as I was done with the harassment and from someone who is supposed to be the manager this was totally unacceptable. He then proceeded to yelled in the store to everyone very loud to not serve me that they didn't need my business. I don't ever waste my time to send reviews or complain but this attack was completely unacceptable and must be reported. I will never return to this location again

Very little parking - only 6 spots, so plan on walking down to the residential neighborhood. They will not escort you, and it's dangerous. Andrew also cancelled my reservation after I arrived and paid for it when I reiterated my understanding of the return policies of $100 for late return, when previously it's just the day rate. He insisted I was telling him I wouldn't return it by then, but I'm a professional and I clarify my understanding of discrepancies. His tag says, "owner" but he is just a manager. If you forget anything in the vehicle, don't plan on getting it back, they won't even look for it. I found a wallet with credit cards and they didn't do anything, I had to track the guy down and ship him his stuff, and they had told him no one did anything to help him. Also, I have tried calling for extensions and U-Haul explicitly told me to just not return it and I pay the day rate. The actual owner, or so I was told, did return my call quickly, which was appreciated.

Reserved a trailer on line for pickup next morning at 7:30am. Young lady behind the counter (think her name is Amina) gave us a friendly greeting and guided us through the process quickly, and with a smile. The young man outside had us hooked up and gone in a few minutes. Highly recommend this location.

Came all the way from Arizona and realized the original U-Haul place gave me a very dusty/dirty container, and then I even found trash stuffed behind the seats! Got to my drop off here in Costa Mesa, Jack and another gentleman were super helpful and said not to even worry about it. They had me out of there very quickly after I confirmed I refilled the tank and blankets were in the back. Great service with the guys over here

This review is for the uhaul location at 2680 Newport Blvd. in Costa Mesa. They sold me moving boxes for more than the advertised price. I know costs are going up everywhere, but if you have a big sign up you must honor that price. This becomes a classic case of false advertising otherwise if they do honor it. Management please correct these problems before continuing to false advertising your prices to fellow shoppers. Signs in front of registers hanging from ceiling clearly indicates medium boxes for $1.39 per box of 20 and small boxes advertised $.91 per box of 25 I was charged too much money $1.63 for a bundle of 20 medium boxes and $1.09 per box of 25 which is wrong. I was told the price changed and they would not honor the advertised price advertised on the store display. I don't like that and I won't be shopping at this location anymore.
