A day or so after posting my original review, I got an email saying they had the part and someone would contact me to schedule the repair. Within a week, Cesar, a local contractor for Wallbeds n More came to check the bed and took it away to fix it. He brought it back & installed it 3 days later. Cesar was excellent: communicative, punctual and prompt. We have not used the bed yet, as it's in the guest room, but I feel optimistic.

I purchased a chest bed in March of this year from this store. Roger, the salesman showed me the model and was great! Easy to deal with and showed great customer service. I was told delivery would be in 2-4 weeks. Then Roger called a couple of weeks later and said it would be 3-5 weeks. Then 5-8 weeks a couple of weeks later, and so on, until he finally said, "I don't know when you will get it". He then gave me a discount for being patient and not cancelling. I wish now that I had cancelled the order. The bed finally arrived yesterday and is a dark brown chocolate color with no stonewash elements at all! Ed, the owner of this business is arguing with me saying it is stonewash! No it isn't! I then had to send a picture of it and Ed is still saying the picture shows gray highlights. Well in person the d--n bed is dark chocolate brown - no gray! Then there is the opening issue - If I was Hercules I wouldn't have a problem opening this bed. However, at 65 years old and maybe 108 pounds, I'm definitely not Hercules! Even my husband couldn't open this thing! When I explained this to Ed, he asked me if the installer showed me HOW to open it. I said yes, however there was a difference between me and the installer - he was a guy about 40 years younger and dare I say stronger! What is going on here? Just give me what I ordered and ensure that the product works for me! In Every Way - including opening! Please do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED AND JUST DOWNRIGHT ANGRY!

Absolutely the worst possible experience. If I could rate them -5 stars I would. TLDR at the end.First lets talk about the buying experience: You are told that this is an American made product. Made in San Francisco area and that it is solid wood. It's not. It's actually plywood. You are also asked for all the money up front. Which is suspicious.Now lets talk about the waiting. You are told it will be 8-10 week to get your order. After that you are not given any communication. No updates. No time line. No estimated delivery date. Just a nebulous time frame. I ordered in November. I expected to see my bed in February. Mid February, I called. I was told end of February. End of February I was given a date of Mid March. They then blew that by more than a week. I would have been Ok waiting if they would have communicated better. Or at all.And I would have tolerated the delay if the quality had been there. I had looked at Murphy beds on line and saw several appealing models for around 3-4K. They were MDF and I decided if I was going to put in a bed I wanted something that was good quality. Made with real boards. I decided to pay top dollar because I want to believe in local businesses. Boy was I let down. First, the fit and finish of the product was terrible. Anything that wasn't immediately visible (like the backs of drawers and the inside of cabinets) was unfinished. The inside of the pedestal (chest of drawers) was not only unfinished, it had weird spray patterns and was dusty on the inside. They didn't even bother to paint it. There are weirdly painted bit and weirdly unpainted bits. The backs and sides of the drawers were poorly cut and in the case of one of the drawers it was completely shredded. The top part of the side desk was of such poor quality that I had to have it replaced twice. On the third time they got it right. The Murphy bed I bought had a desk to it. The surface of that desk had many imperfections including what looked to be a tape mark or a drag mark in the middle. And to top it all off, the underside of the desk was unfinished and so rough that it caught on my clothing. It is now the middle of May and I had to have someone actually finish the desk for me so I could use it.And worst of all was the attitude I got from the company. I sent all of my photos and my discussions to their customer service and my concerns were just shrugged off. For the unfinished and weirdly finished portions I was told, and I quote. "But no one is going to see that." That is not an acceptable answer. While they GRUDGINGLY replaced the shredded drawer and the table top they shrugged off the rest of my concerns and comments. This was billed as American, quality furniture. And quite frankly, my Chinese made kitchen cabinets were 100% better quality. And used solid wood where it matter not low quality plywood.TLDR: Poor quality, poor communication, poor customer service. If you don't want furniture that looks like it was made by people that just don't care, go elsewhere.Edit to discuss reply:Composition of the furniture is PLYWOOD. I have not seen a single piece of SOLID wood in the entire thing.The reason I chose to post this review is because I feel dismissed and ignored by customer service. Yes customer service grudgingly replaced the pieces that were damaged but that does not make my desk usable. Except of course the large desk surface which is still marred. Yes the unit was installed on March 17th. It became usable to me May 19. This is because:-- The side desk piece was DOA as was the second one by the time the third one came in, it had been nearly a month since initial installation.-- The underside of the desk was rough and caught on clothing. I had to hire a third party to fill the holes, sand and smooth the desk.At no point did customer service offer to actually fix either the marred surface or the catching issue.

We were happy to support this company as their wall beds are made in the USA. But now that we've received it and "slept" on it, it has flaws. There's a 3/4" piece of wood in the center of the bed. Looking at it, it seems like there's no problem. Sleep on it and it's far worse than the "Princess and the Pea", the board in the center caused a rolling effect that I never would've expected. We called to company to find out what they had to say and Roger called and left a voicemail about how they're never heard that before... we are still not satisfied. We have no idea how to remedy this problem.

We are very pleased with our Murphy Hidden Desk Bed. Roger our Design Consultant was very helpful in pointing out the functionality and quality of the product. The delivery and installation team were great. Very glad we purchased from Wallbeds n More - Costa Mesa.

We have been using wall beds for our homes for decades. We compared Wall Beds n' More to two other providers, and found them to be the best quality and value for our needs. From the moment we met Roger at their warehouse in Costa Mesa, we were very impressed. Roger is very experienced and knowledgeable, and the company history seemed dependable. Today our bed was delivered, and the installation was handled efficiently and professionally, and Lisa (the installer) was professional and personable. Wall Beds n' More is not the cheapest wall bed out there, but the quality we received made the overall value outstanding. Roger worked with us to find the bed that best suited our needs, told us what we should expect, and that's exactly what we received. We're now looking for other rooms to provide double-duty with these wonderful beds. The only negative reviews in the recent years came from someone who didn't even give them a chance, and the phone experience she describes is totally different than ours.

For years I've wanted to create a room that could serve as both an office or a guest bedroom, and from start to finish I want to commend Wallbeds n More in Costa Mesa for their professional service, from phone call to appointment to delivery. Although I called a couple days after memorial day, I was able to have the memorial day special extended a couple days afterwards thanks to Roger and team (apparently there was a lot of interest that weekend). Roger was friendly over the phone, and when I met him in person for my appointment he showed me the different choices available. Ultimately I selected a cabinet fold out bed which was a lot less expensive than the wall bed I could've purchased but I was happy I wasn't pressured to buy the more expensive wall beds since it wouldn't fit my needs. I purchased the style I wanted and was told I would hear from somebody when it was closer to delivery. Sure enough, I got a phone call from Lisa to coordinate a delivery day. Since I needed more time to confirm the date she gave me her cell phone to text when I knew for sure, which I did when I was confident what day I could confirm delivery. On the day of delivery the bed was brought in by Rodney and Jesus with prompt and friendly service, with care taken to protect my hardwood floors and a quick overview of how to use the bed before they left. Very happy with their service, great job to team.

Thank you Roger! From start to finish the experience was great and so is the mobile chest bed! We had our older relatives stay with us for a week and they loved the bed! It's beautiful and so easy to use. Jeff demonstrated what to do and was very helpful, gave us tips to tighten the mattress so it closes correctly. These guys are great to work with and this mobile chest bed is real quality furniture and the mattress is so comfortable, you will not be disappointed, don't hesitate call Roger!
