The three stars are for the branch, Ariana gets five I've been with Wescom for a long time. They are a great bank. Great customer service and they are so quick to catch and notify of card fraud. To make sure that continues, I have to say today this branch seemed understaffed. I walked in because I came with someone who needed a new account. We checked in with an iPad at the front, nobody was at the reception. The ATM was not working so I got money from a very nicer teller (Adriana? Ariana? I hope she forgives my bad memory). I went back to their waiting area for the new account. After waiting for a while I went back to the teller and she sincerely apologized for the wait. Seemed like their system didn't tell them we were waiting. There was only one person on the desks the whole time working with the same customer since we arrived. Ariana helped us open the account. The same staff is doing two jobs. In the meantime the line of customers waiting for tellers started growing. I know that is a manager's problem. Manager, please staff accordingly or pay more to your staff doing two jobs so they stay as nice and efficient as Ariana when the members are annoyed for waiting for any of the services because it will happen no matter how nice they are. ***** Highly Recommended ********** UPDATE on Management *****I went in person instead of making a phone call to ask a more detail question on a financial situation. I had a great experience. The day manager named ALFREDO was very helpful and gave me all my answers.I had asked to be introduced to the regular manager named JP. After I met with him so he aware about my situation for the future. They were both professional, courteous and very well spirited. This is my favorite branch to go to if I need to go to Wescom./////I have been to other branches and this Branch seems to be the one we like the most. It's always really clean staff is really friendly, it's not too busy. I took my mother toopen up an account and the agent YOLANDA M. was particularly helpful, since we were around an hour away from closing time on a Saturday & she was trying to get sign up her account on time. She did really well. Courteous, professional and a great attitude. Everything was great & good service, nice area. *****

I belong to a different credit union. As a credit union member I am supposed to be able to use any credit union ATM to withdraw money. I can use any other ATM except Wescom's. Why. Wescom blocks me from using their ATM's. I tried this morning to withdraw money from a Wescom ATM, closest to my home, and was denied. I drove to a Teacher's Credit union and was able to withdraw money. This is not the first time this has happened. I believe all other credit unions should deny Wescom members from using their ATM's. Wescom does it to others it should be done back to them. Wescom is basically scum.

I'm not sure as to why people are having bad experiences with this branch. I am recently new to Wescom because I needed a loan for my vehicle purchase. From applying online, to signing the papers in the office it has been an easy process. The loan officer, Yolanda, has been kind, friendly and thorough from beginning to end. She had all the answers for me. I found her to be organized and intelligent with her position at the bank. The manager, Daniel, even took the time to come over and introduce himself to me and congratulate me with the approved loan. From someone who doesn't have perfect credit, I was expecting a lot of disappointment or possible frustrations. Instead I was given an amazing rate and low monthly payments. I didn't even need to haggle.From my observation, being at the establishment for only an hour, I saw how the team there interacted with their customers. They were friendly, and conscious of their customers' time being there. I witnessed complete professionalism and sincerity. I don't know what everyone's expectations are for banking or loans, but all mine happened to be met here at Wescom.

Ozzy helped my mother open a checking and savings account, as well as an auto loan. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He was also patient and worked with us very effectively. Thank you Ozzy! We appreciate you!

Sadly Wescom Costa Mesa Customer service is getting worse and worse. They are never able to help. They give you the option to have Alerts for fraudulent transaction but when you call to report them, they are not able to stop payments. I recently had to change my card because an open dispute. I have Travelers Insurance with Auto payment. I called to make an update in my card number but they cannot help with that. I cannot make updates by myself because that payment is not in my Bill Pay account. I have to wait until Travelers declined the payment and send a letter saying my automatic payment has been suspended because my card was declined. Then I have to call again asking for help to update my card information. Unbelievable!?

From the best to the worst!I have been with Wescom for more than 25 years. Their service in the past has always been great. The last few years, they are just like every other terrible bank. The banking system has changed so often for absolutely no reason. Each time they made a change it becomes more confusing. I have been trying to make additional car payments and the system will not allow it. If I made an additional payment, the system will deduct it from the regular payment. I have been online several time and can't figure it out. I have been trying to call in for more than 2 weeks. As I write this, I have been on hold for more than 25 minutes. I have been on hold for as long as 35 minutes and gave up. This is so frustrating! Time to look for a new bank or credit union. What a huge disappointment Wescom! I actually don't think they care about losing customers.

Horrible customer service at this location. Now I'm calling corporate to let them know and I've been on hold for a very long time. I don't know how you stay in business.The employee finally picked up after waiting 40 minutes and all she could do is say she was sorry. Sorry is not good enough. Obviously your customers are not a priority and probably will never be because this has happened to me in the past and I see other customers are expressing the same concern with negative Yelp reviews.
