Was tired of the lousy service and office staff with Amerigas, we have been a customer for 15 years. McPhail’s seemed like a great option. We planned the swap and Shaun, showed up on time, was very kind, brought the new tank and did the swap and reconnected the gas line. Shaun relit our appliances and did a great job! Matt in the office, was great at coordinating all the work. We look forward to a long relationship with McPhail’s!

Sean and the team at McPhail provided fast and excellent service in setting up our propane tank for our new pool. They went out of their way to get it done on time during a busy 4th of July week.

The folks are nice, but the new customer onboarding was quite cumbersome - they didn’t respond for weeks. However I heard they were better than others so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went through the application, propane tank inspection and got the first fill.
When I requested another fill, they reached out requiring a surprise $75 inspection that was not previously mentioned by anyone I spoke with over several months, or listed on the application. I asked them to waive this given I wasn’t told about this at any point during onboarding verbally or in writing and they refused, trying to gaslight me into saying I must have been told about it without providing proof.
I have no idea what other surprise fees they are charging to customers or what they’ll decide to charge in the future. I hope they increase their transparency and communication with customers.

It was a smooth transition and no issues whatsoever. Nice people trying they best to help you. Great professional service.

Had to relocate a large residential propane tank to a new pad. Sean was personable, on time, worked efficiently, and was able to reuse some materials for what was a tricky install. Much thanks!!

I am so grateful I switched to Mc Phail's years ago. I was fed up with the competitor, whose prices seemed exorbitant, and beyond that, charged each of my neighbors differently. In order to switch to McPhails, I needed to install a tank, because previously my gas has been piped in. But even that did not deter me. Also, that other company even charged me $50 to shut off the line! McPhails was helpful in every way, always answered the phone, maintained reasonable charges, and was there when I needed them.

What a dramatic difference from my prior provider. These folks are all responsive, treat you like a human being, and are reasonably priced--and, perhaps most importantly, transparent about their charges and services. Every person I dealt with was professional and helpful, the services are excellent, and they have a very workable website. And I almost never write reviews.

We've had service with McPhail's for nearly 40 years, and they've been superb. Our vacation house is in Bodega Bay, so it is somewhat remote. Nevertheless, when we've had a problem they send a technician right out, within a couple of hours. Can't ask for more.

This is the best customer service we have had with a propane company. They are on the ball with every service from the install of the tank to quick response when calling for a refill etc. Much above the other 2 companies we had before. We ran out of fuel twice in one year with the other company and we were out of gas for over a week before they came and filled out tank even when we told them we were out. Mcphails on the other hand have not let us down even when we were using our heat often in the cold of winter and going through a lot of propane just a call and they were out the same day. But usually they have been great about keeping us topped off. Customer service is #1. And the technician who over saw the initial install of tank Steve was a very friendly man and was very thorough. I'm glad the other company left us hanging with no propane to cook or heat our house, which forced us to move to Mcphails and after a year of service I wonder why we didn't have Mcphails all along.
