AMC Covina 17 offers a range of amenities, including a huge IMAX auditorium for an incredible viewing experience, alongside renovated auditoriums with new and spacious rocking seats. The theater shows more indie and limited release movies than most other AMCs and provides Spanish subtitled versions for most new releases. It features typical theater offerings and still has specials on Tuesdays. However, the location often feels quiet and is regularly dead, even on Fridays. The theater itself is not very robust and is getting a bit dated, with some seats in dire need of replacing as the padding is worn down. Many seats are old and normal, unlike the luxury recliners or fancy seats found at more modern theaters like AMC Glendora, Santa Anita, Edwards West Covina, or Look Cinemas. The facility lacks a Dolby auditorium and has a very limited arcade. While concessions are very generous with popcorn, the bathrooms are not the best maintained. On busy days, there can be frustrations with ticketing and concessions lines, including a lack of clear signage for online tickets and a priority concessions system for A-List members that does not always function efficiently.
